Nehemías 8

Tout le peuple se réunit ensemble, comme un seul homme, sur la place qui s'étend devant la porte de l'eau. On demanda à Ezra, le scribe, d'apporter le livre de la loi de Moïse, que l'Eternel avait prescrite à Israël.

Y JUNTÓSE todo el pueblo como un solo hombre en la plaza que está delante de la puerta de las Aguas, y dijeron á Esdras el escriba, que trajese el libro de la ley de Moisés, la cual mandó Jehová á Israel.

Il en fit la lecture devant la place qui précède la porte de l'eau, depuis l'aurore jusqu'au milieu de la journée, en présence des hommes, des femmes et de tous ceux qui pouvaient comprendre. Le peuple était tout oreille pour entendre le livre de la loi.

Ezra se tenait sur une estrade en bois, qu'on avait élevée pour la circonstance; à côté de lui, à sa droite, étaient placés Matitia, Chéma, Anaïa, Ourla, Hilkia, Maassèya; à sa gauche, Pedaïa, Michaël, Malkia, Hachoum, Hachbaddana, Zacharie, Mechoullam.

Yêchoua, Bâni, Chèrèbia, Yamîn, Akkoub, Chabbetaï, Hodia, Maasèya, Kelita, Azaria, Yozabad, Hanân, Pelaïa et les †autres Lévites expliquaient la Thora au peuple, tandis qu'il se tenait à sa place.

Y Jesuá, y Bani, y Serebías, Jamín, Accub, Sabethai, Odías, Maasías, Celita, Azarías, Jozabed, Hanán, Pelaía, Levitas, hacían entender al pueblo la ley: y el pueblo estaba en su lugar.

Also Jeshua, and Bani, and Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodijah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites, caused the people to understand the law: and the people stood in their place.

Néhémie, à savoir le gouverneur, ainsi qu'Ezra, le prêtre et scribe, et les Lévites qui instruisaient le peuple, dit au peuple tout entier: "Ce jour est consacré à l'Eternel, votre Dieu; ne manifestez pas de deuil et ne pleurez point!" Car tout le peuple pleurait en entendant les paroles de la Thora.

Il ajouta: "Allez, mangez des mets succulents, buvez des breuvages doux et envoyez-en des portions à ceux qui n'ont rien d'apprêté, car ce jour est consacré à notre Seigneur. Ne vous attristez donc pas, car la joie en l'Eternel est votre force."

Díjoles luego: Id, comed grosuras, y bebed vino dulce, y enviad porciones á los que no tienen prevenido; porque día santo es á nuestro Señor: y no os entristezcáis, porque el gozo de Jehová es vuestra fortaleza.

Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

Then he said to them, “Go your way. Eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to him for whom nothing is prepared, for today is holy to our Lord. Don’t be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”

Cependant, les Lévites calmaient le peuple en disant: "Faites silence, car ce jour est saint: ne vous attristez donc pas!"

Los Levitas pues, hacían callar á todo el pueblo, diciendo: Callad, que es día santo, y no os entristezcáis.

So the Levites stilled all the people, saying, Hold your peace, for the day is holy; neither be ye grieved.

Tout le peuple s'en alla ainsi pour manger, boire, envoyer des présents et organiser de grandes réjouissances, car il s'était pénétré des paroles qu'on lui avait adressées.

Y todo el pueblo se fué á comer y á beber, y á enviar porciones, y á gozar de grande alegría, porque habían entendido las palabras que les habían enseñado.

Le deuxième jour, les chefs des familles de tout le peuple, les prêtres, les Lévites se rassemblèrent autour d'Ezra pour se rendre compte des paroles de la Thora.

Y el día siguiente se juntaron los príncipes de las familias de todo el pueblo, sacerdotes, y Levitas, á Esdras escriba, para entender las palabras de la ley.

And on the second day were gathered together the chief of the fathers of all the people, the priests, and the Levites, unto Ezra the scribe, even to understand the words of the law.

Ils trouvèrent écrit dans cette Thora que l'Eternel avait ordonné, par l'organe de Moïse, que les Israélites devaient demeurer dans des cabanes pendant la fête qui arrive au septième mois,

et qu'ils devaient publier et faire passer dans toutes leurs villes ainsi qu'à Jérusalem l'avis suivant: "Répandez-vous dans la montagne et rapportez-en des feuilles d'olivier, des feuilles de l'arbre qui donne de l'huile, des feuilles de myrte, des feuilles de palmier, des feuilles d'arbres touffus, pour faire des cabanes comme il est écrit."

Y que hiciesen saber, y pasar pregón por todas sus ciudades y por Jerusalem, diciendo: Salid al monte, y traed ramos de oliva, y ramos de pino, y ramos de arrayán, y ramos de palmas, y ramos de todo árbol espeso, para hacer cabañas como está escrito.

And that they should publish and proclaim in all their cities, and in Jerusalem, saying, Go forth unto the mount, and fetch olive branches, and pine branches, and myrtle branches, and palm branches, and branches of thick trees, to make booths, as it is written.

Le peuple sortit et en apporta. Ils se dressèrent des cabanes, chacun sur son toit, dans leurs cours et dans les parvis du temple de Dieu, sur la place devant la porte de l'eau et sur la place devant la porte d'Ephraïm.

Salió pues el pueblo, y trajeron, é hiciéronse cabañas, cada uno sobre su terrado, y en sus patios, y en los patios de la casa de Dios, y en la plaza de la puerta de las Aguas, y en la plaza de la puerta de Ephraim.

So the people went forth, and brought them, and made themselves booths, every one upon the roof of his house, and in their courts, and in the courts of the house of God, and in the street of the water gate, and in the street of the gate of Ephraim.

Toute la communauté de ceux qui étaient revenus de captivité établirent des cabanes et demeurèrent dans ces cabanes; aussi bien, depuis les jours de Josué, fils de Noun, jusqu'à ce jour, les enfants d'Israël n'avaient pas agi de la sorte. La joie fut donc extrêmement grande.

Y toda la congregación que volvió de la cautividad hicieron cabañas, y en cabañas habitaron; porque desde los días de Josué hijo de Nun hasta aquel día, no habían hecho así los hijos de Israel. Y hubo alegría muy grande.

And all the congregation of them that were come again out of the captivity made booths, and sat under the booths: for since the days of Jeshua the son of Nun unto that day had not the children of Israel done so. And there was very great gladness.

Et jour par jour, du premier jour †de la fête jusqu'au dernier, on lut dans le livre de la loi de Dieu. Ils célébrèrent ainsi la fête durant sept jours, et le huitième jour, ce fut une solennité de clôture, conformément à la règle.
