and they said, “Has Yahweh spoken only through Moses? Has not Yahweh also spoken through us?” And Yahweh heard it.

And they said, Hath the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the LORD heard it.
They said, “Has the LORD indeed spoken only with Moses? Hasn’t he spoken also with us?” And the LORD heard it.
Now the man, Moses, was more humble than any other person on the face of the earth,

(Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)

and Yahweh said suddenly to Moses, Aaron, and Miriam, “Go out, you three, to the tent of assembly.” So the three of them when out.
Y luego dijo Jehová á Moisés, y á Aarón, y á María: Salid vosotros tres al tabernáculo del testimonio. Y salieron ellos tres.
And the LORD spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation. And they three came out.
The LORD spoke suddenly to Moses, to Aaron, and to Miriam, “You three come out to the Tent of Meeting!” The three of them came out.
And Yahweh went down in a column of cloud and stood at the doorway of the tent, and he called Aaron and Miriam, and the two of them went,

And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.
He said, “Now hear my words. If there is a prophet among you, I, the LORD, will make myself known to him in a vision. I will speak with him in a dream.
Not so with my servant Moses; in all my house he is faithful.
No así á mi siervo Moisés, que es fiel en toda mi casa:
My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.
My servant Moses is not so. He is faithful in all my house.
I will speak to him mouth to mouth, in clearness, not in riddles; and he will look at the form of Yahweh. Why were you not afraid to speak against my servant, against Moses?”
Boca á boca hablaré con él, y á las claras, y no por figuras; y verá la apariencia de Jehová: ¿por qué pues no tuvisteis temor de hablar contra mi siervo Moisés?
With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?
With him, I will speak mouth to mouth, even plainly, and not in riddles; and he shall see the LORD’s form. Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant, against Moses?”
⌞And Yahweh became very angry⌟ with them, and he went away.

And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed.

And the cloud departed from on the tent, and behold, Miriam was infected with ⌞a skin disease⌟ white like snow; when Aaron turned toward Miriam, behold, she was afflicted with a skin disease.

And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous.

So Aaron said to Moses, “Please, my lord, please do not put on us this sin in which we were foolish and in which we have sinned.
Y dijo Aarón á Moisés: ¡Ah! señor mío, no pongas ahora sobre nosotros pecado; porque locamente lo hemos hecho, y hemos pecado.
And Aaron said unto Moses, Alas, my lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sin upon us, wherein we have done foolishly, and wherein we have sinned.
Aaron said to Moses, “Oh, my lord, please don’t count this sin against us, in which we have done foolishly, and in which we have sinned.
Please do not let her be like the dead, whose flesh is half consumed when coming out from the womb of its mother.”
No sea ella ahora como el que sale muerto del vientre de su madre, consumida la mitad de su carne.
Let her not be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he cometh out of his mother’s womb.
Let her not, I pray, be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother’s womb.”
And Moses cried to Yahweh, saying, “God, ⌞please heal her⌟!”
Entonces Moisés clamó á Jehová, diciendo: Ruégote, oh Dios, que la sanes ahora.
And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech thee.
Moses cried to the LORD, saying, “Heal her, God, I beg you!”
But Yahweh said to Moses, “If her father had surely spit in her face, would she not bear her shame for seven days? Let her be confined for seven days to an outside place of the camp, and afterward she may be gathered.”
Respondió Jehová á Moisés: Pues si su padre hubiera escupido en su cara, ¿no se avergonzaría por siete días?: sea echada fuera del real por siete días, y después se reunirá.
And the LORD said unto Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in again.
The LORD said to Moses, “If her father had but spit in her face, shouldn’t she be ashamed seven days? Let her be shut up outside of the camp seven days, and after that she shall be brought in again.”
So Miriam was confined to the outside place of the camp seven days, and the people did not set out until Miriam was gathered.
Así María fué echada del real siete días; y el pueblo no pasó adelante hasta que se le reunió María.
And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days: and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in again.
