Und da der Kanaaniter, der König Arad, der gegen Mittag wohnete, hörete, daß Israel hereinkommt durch den Weg der Kundschafter, stritt er wider Israel und führete etliche gefangen.

Y OYENDO el Cananeo, el rey de Arad, el cual habitaba al mediodía, que venía Israel por el camino de los centinelas, peleó con Israel, y tomó de él presa.

And when king Arad the Canaanite, which dwelt in the south, heard tell that Israel came by the way of the spies; then he fought against Israel, and took some of them prisoners.

The Canaanite, the king of Arad, who lived in the South, heard that Israel came by the way of Atharim. He fought against Israel, and took some of them captive.

Da gelobte Israel dem HERRN ein Gelübde und sprach: Wenn du dies Volk unter meine Hand gibst, so will ich ihre Städte verbannen.

Entonces Israel hizo voto á Jehová, y dijo: Si en efecto entregares á este pueblo en mi mano, yo destruiré sus ciudades.

And Israel vowed a vow unto the LORD, and said, If thou wilt indeed deliver this people into my hand, then I will utterly destroy their cities.

Und der HERR erhörete die Stimme Israels und gab die Kanaaniter und verbannete sie samt ihren Städten; und hieß die Stätte Horma.

Y Jehová escuchó la voz de Israel, y entregó al Cananeo, y destruyólos á ellos y á sus ciudades; y llamó el nombre de aquel lugar Horma.

And the LORD hearkened to the voice of Israel, and delivered up the Canaanites; and they utterly destroyed them and their cities: and he called the name of the place Hormah.

Da zogen sie von Hor am Gebirge auf dem Wege vom Schilfmeer, daß sie um der Edomiter Land hinzögen. Und das Volk ward verdrossen auf dem Wege

Y partieron del monte de Hor, camino del mar Bermejo, para rodear la tierra de Edom; y abatióse el ánimo del pueblo por el camino.

And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea, to compass the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way.

They traveled from Mount Hor by the way to the Red Sea, to go around the land of Edom. The soul of the people was very discouraged because of the journey.

und redete wider Gott und wider Mose: Warum hast du uns aus Ägypten geführet, daß wir sterben in der Wüste? Denn es ist kein Brot noch Wasser hie, und unsere Seele ekelt über dieser losen Speise.

Y habló el pueblo contra Dios y Moisés: ¿Por qué nos hiciste subir de Egipto para que muramos en este desierto? que ni hay pan, ni agua, y nuestra alma tiene fastidio de este pan tan liviano.

And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread.

The people spoke against God and against Moses: “Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no bread, there is no water, and our soul loathes this disgusting food!”

Da sandte der HERR feurige Schlangen unter das Volk; die bissen das Volk, daß ein groß Volk in Israel starb.

Y Jehová envió entre el pueblo serpientes ardientes, que mordían al pueblo: y murió mucho pueblo de Israel.

And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.

The LORD sent venomous snakes among the people, and they bit the people. Many people of Israel died.

Da kamen sie zu Mose und sprachen: Wir haben gesündiget, daß wir wider den HERRN und wider dich geredet haben. Bitte den HERRN, daß er die Schlangen von uns nehme! Mose bat für das Volk.

Entonces el pueblo vino á Moisés, y dijeron: Pecado hemos por haber hablado contra Jehová, y contra ti: ruega á Jehová que quite de nosotros estas serpientes. Y Moisés oró por el pueblo.

Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.

The people came to Moses, and said, “We have sinned, because we have spoken against the LORD and against you. Pray to the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us.” Moses prayed for the people.

Da sprach der HERR zu Mose: Mache dir eine eherne Schlange und richte sie zum Zeichen auf; wer gebissen ist und siehet sie an, der soll leben.

Y Jehová dijo á Moisés: Hazte una serpiente ardiente, y ponla sobre la bandera: y será que cualquiera que fuere mordido y mirare á ella, vivirá.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.

The LORD said to Moses, “Make a venomous snake, and set it on a pole. It shall happen that everyone who is bitten, when he sees it, shall live.”

Da machte Mose eine eherne Schlange und richtete sie auf zum Zeichen; und wenn jemanden eine Schlange biß, so sah er die eherne Schlange an und blieb leben.

Y Moisés hizo una serpiente de metal, y púsola sobre la bandera: y fué, que cuando alguna serpiente mordía á alguno, miraba á la serpiente de metal, y vivía.

And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.

Moses made a serpent of bronze, and set it on the pole. If a serpent had bitten any man, when he looked at the serpent of bronze, he lived.

Und die Kinder Israel zogen aus und lagerten sich in Oboth.

Y partieron los hijos de Israel, y asentaron campo en Oboth.

And the children of Israel set forward, and pitched in Oboth.

Und von Oboth zogen sie aus und lagerten sich in Ijim, am Gebirge Abarim, in der Wüste gegen Moab über, gegen der Sonnen Aufgang.

Y partidos de Oboth, asentaron en Ije-abarim, en el desierto que está delante de Moab, al nacimiento del sol.

And they journeyed from Oboth, and pitched at Ije-abarim, in the wilderness which is before Moab, toward the sunrising.

Von dannen zogen sie und lagerten sich diesseit am Arnon, welcher ist in der Wüste und herausreicht von der Grenze der Amoriter. Denn Arnon ist die Grenze Moabs zwischen Moab und den Amoritern.

De allí movieron, y asentaron de la otra parte de Arnón, que está en el desierto, y que sale del término del Amorrheo; porque Arnón es término de Moab, entre Moab y el Amorrheo.

From thence they removed, and pitched on the other side of Arnon, which is in the wilderness that cometh out of the coasts of the Amorites: for Arnon is the border of Moab, between Moab and the Amorites.

Daher spricht man in dem Buch von den Streiten des HERRN: Das Vaheb in Supha und die Bäche am Arnon

Por tanto se dice en el libro de las batallas de Jehová: Lo que hizo en el mar Bermejo, y en los arroyos de Arnón:

Wherefore it is said in the book of the wars of the LORD, What he did in the Red sea, and in the brooks of Arnon,

Therefore it is said in The Book of the Wars of the LORD, “Vaheb in Suphah, the valleys of the Arnon,

und die Quelle der Bäche, welche reichet hinan zu der Stadt Ar und lenket sich und ist die Grenze Moabs.

Y á la corriente de los arroyos que va á parar en Ar, y descansa en el término de Moab.

And at the stream of the brooks that goeth down to the dwelling of Ar, and lieth upon the border of Moab.

the slope of the valleys that incline toward the dwelling of Ar, leans on the border of Moab.”

Und von dannen zogen sie zum Brunnen. Das ist der Brunnen, davon der HERR zu Mose sagte: Sammle das Volk, ich will ihnen Wasser geben.

Y de allí vinieron á Beer: este es el pozo del cual Jehová dijo á Moisés: Junta el pueblo, y les daré agua.

And from thence they went to Beer: that is the well whereof the LORD spake unto Moses, Gather the people together, and I will give them water.

From there they traveled to Beer; that is the well of which the LORD said to Moses, “Gather the people together, and I will give them water.”

Da sang Israel dieses Lied, und sangen umeinander über dem Brunnen:

Das ist der Brunnen, den die Fürsten gegraben haben; die Edlen im Volk haben ihn gegraben durch den Lehrer und ihre Stäbe. Und von dieser Wüste zogen sie gen Mathana;

The princes digged the well, the nobles of the people digged it, by the direction of the lawgiver, with their staves. And from the wilderness they went to Mattanah:

the well, which the princes dug, which the nobles of the people dug, with the scepter, and with their poles.” From the wilderness they traveled to Mattanah;

und von Mathana gen Nahaliel; und von Nahaliel gen Bamoth;

und von Bamoth in das Tal, das im Felde Moab liegt, zu dem hohen Berge Pisga, der gegen die Wüste siehet.

Y de Bamoth al valle que está en los campos de Moab, y á la cumbre de Pisga, que mira á Jesimón.

And from Bamoth in the valley, that is in the country of Moab, to the top of Pisgah, which looketh toward Jeshimon.

Und Israel sandte Boten zu Sihon, dem Könige der Amoriter, und ließ ihm sagen:

Y envió Israel embajadores á Sehón, rey de los Amorrheos, diciendo:

And Israel sent messengers unto Sihon king of the Amorites, saying,

Laß mich durch dein Land ziehen; wir wollen nicht weichen in die Acker noch in die Weingärten, wollen auch des Brunnenwassers nicht trinken; die Landstraße wollen wir ziehen, bis wir durch deine Grenze kommen.

Pasaré por tu tierra: no nos apartaremos por los labrados, ni por las viñas; no beberemos las aguas de los pozos: por el camino real iremos, hasta que pasemos tu término.

Let me pass through thy land: we will not turn into the fields, or into the vineyards; we will not drink of the waters of the well: but we will go along by the king’s high way, until we be past thy borders.

“Let me pass through your land. We will not turn away into field or vineyard. We will not drink of the water of the wells. We will go by the king’s highway, until we have passed your border.”

Aber Sihon gestattete den Kindern Israel den Zug nicht durch seine Grenze, sondern sammelte all sein Volk und zog aus Israel entgegen in die Wüste; und als er gen Jahza kam, stritt er wider Israel.

Mas Sehón no dejó pasar á Israel por su término: antes juntó Sehón todo su pueblo, y salió contra Israel en el desierto: y vino á Jahaz, y peleó contra Israel.

And Sihon would not suffer Israel to pass through his border: but Sihon gathered all his people together, and went out against Israel into the wilderness: and he came to Jahaz, and fought against Israel.

Israel aber schlug ihn mit der Schärfe des Schwerts und nahm sein Land ein von Arnon an bis an den Jabbok und bis an die Kinder Ammon; denn die Grenzen der Kinder Ammon waren fest.

E hirióle Israel á filo de espada, y tomó su tierra desde Arnón hasta Jaboc, hasta los hijos de Ammón: porque el término de los hijos de Ammón era fuerte.

And Israel smote him with the edge of the sword, and possessed his land from Arnon unto Jabbok, even unto the children of Ammon: for the border of the children of Ammon was strong.

Also nahm Israel alle diese Städte und wohnete in allen Städten der Amoriter, zu Hesbon und allen ihren Töchtern.

Y tomó Israel todas estas ciudades: y habitó Israel en todas las ciudades del Amorrheo, en Hesbón y en todas sus aldeas.

And Israel took all these cities: and Israel dwelt in all the cities of the Amorites, in Heshbon, and in all the villages thereof.

Denn Hesbon, die Stadt, war Sihons, des Königs der Amoriter, und er hatte zuvor mit dem Könige der Moabiter gestritten und ihm all sein Land angewonnen bis gen Arnon.

Porque Hesbón era la ciudad de Sehón, rey de los Amorrheos; el cual había tenido guerra antes con el rey de Moab, y tomado de su poder toda su tierra hasta Arnón.

For Heshbon was the city of Sihon the king of the Amorites, who had fought against the former king of Moab, and taken all his land out of his hand, even unto Arnon.

Daher sagt man im Sprichwort: Kommt gen Hesbon, daß man die Stadt Sihon baue und aufrichte;

denn Feuer ist aus Hesbon gefahren, eine Flamme von der Stadt Sihon, die hat gefressen Ar der Moabiter und die Bürger der Höhe Arnon.

Que fuego salió de Hesbón, y llama de la ciudad de Sehón, y consumió á Ar de Moab, á los señores de los altos de Arnón.

For there is a fire gone out of Heshbon, a flame from the city of Sihon: it hath consumed Ar of Moab, and the lords of the high places of Arnon.

for a fire has gone out of Heshbon, a flame from the city of Sihon. It has devoured Ar of Moab, The lords of the high places of the Arnon.

Wehe dir, Moab, du Volk Kamos bist verloren; man hat seine Söhne in die Flucht geschlagen und seine Töchter gefangen geführt Sihon, dem Könige der Amoriter.

¡Ay de ti, Moab! Perecido has, pueblo de Chêmos: puso sus hijos en huída, y sus hijas en cautividad, por Sehón rey de los Amorrheos.

Woe to thee, Moab! thou art undone, O people of Chemosh: he hath given his sons that escaped, and his daughters, into captivity unto Sihon king of the Amorites.

Woe to you, Moab! You are undone, people of Chemosh! He has given his sons as fugitives, and his daughters into captivity, to Sihon king of the Amorites.

Ihre HERRLIchkeit ist zunichte worden, von Hesbon bis gen Dibon; sie ist verstöret bis gen Nophah, die da langet bis gen Medba.

Mas devastamos el reino de ellos; pereció Hesbón hasta Dibón, y destruimos hasta Nopha y Medeba.

We have shot at them; Heshbon is perished even unto Dibon, and we have laid them waste even unto Nophah, which reacheth unto Medeba.

Also wohnete Israel im Lande der Amoriter.

Und Mose sandte aus Kundschafter gen Jaeser; und gewannen ihre Töchter und nahmen die Amoriter ein, die drinnen waren;

Y envió Moisés á reconocer á Jazer; y tomaron sus aldeas, y echaron al Amorrheo que estaba allí.

And Moses sent to spy out Jaazer, and they took the villages thereof, and drove out the Amorites that were there.

und wandten sich und zogen hinauf des Weges zu Basan. Da zog aus ihnen entgegen Og, der König zu Basan, mit all seinem Volk, zu streiten in Edrei.

Und der HERR sprach zu Mose: Fürchte dich nicht vor ihm; denn ich habe ihn in deine Hand gegeben mit Land und Leuten, und sollst mit ihm tun, wie du mit Sihon, dem Könige der Amoriter, getan hast, der zu Hesbon wohnete.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Fear him not: for I have delivered him into thy hand, and all his people, and his land; and thou shalt do to him as thou didst unto Sihon king of the Amorites, which dwelt at Heshbon.

The LORD said to Moses, “Don’t fear him, for I have delivered him into your hand, with all his people, and his land. You shall do to him as you did to Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived at Heshbon.”
