Und als der Kanaaniter, der König von Arad, der gegen Mittag wohnte, hörte, daß Israel auf dem Wege der Kundschafter heranziehe, stritt er wider Israel und machte Gefangene unter ihnen.

Y OYENDO el Cananeo, el rey de Arad, el cual habitaba al mediodía, que venía Israel por el camino de los centinelas, peleó con Israel, y tomó de él presa.

And when king Arad the Canaanite, which dwelt in the south, heard tell that Israel came by the way of the spies; then he fought against Israel, and took some of them prisoners.

Da tat Israel dem HERRN ein Gelübde und sprach: Wenn du dieses Volk in meine Hand gibst, so will ich an ihren Städten den Bann vollstrecken!

Entonces Israel hizo voto á Jehová, y dijo: Si en efecto entregares á este pueblo en mi mano, yo destruiré sus ciudades.

And Israel vowed a vow unto the LORD, and said, If thou wilt indeed deliver this people into my hand, then I will utterly destroy their cities.

Und der HERR erhörte Israels Stimme und gab die Kanaaniter in ihre Hand, und Israel vollstreckte an ihnen und an ihren Städten den Bann und hieß den Ort Horma.

Y Jehová escuchó la voz de Israel, y entregó al Cananeo, y destruyólos á ellos y á sus ciudades; y llamó el nombre de aquel lugar Horma.

Da zogen sie vom Berge Hor weg auf dem Weg zum Schilfmeer, um der Edomiter Land zu umgehen. Aber das Volk ward ungeduldig auf dem Wege.

Y partieron del monte de Hor, camino del mar Bermejo, para rodear la tierra de Edom; y abatióse el ánimo del pueblo por el camino.

And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea, to compass the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way.

Und das Volk redete wider Gott und wider Mose: Warum habt ihr uns aus Ägypten geführt, daß wir in der Wüste sterben? Denn hier ist weder Brot noch Wasser, und unsre Seele hat einen Ekel an dieser schlechten Speise!

Y habló el pueblo contra Dios y Moisés: ¿Por qué nos hiciste subir de Egipto para que muramos en este desierto? que ni hay pan, ni agua, y nuestra alma tiene fastidio de este pan tan liviano.

And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread.

The people spoke against God and against Moses: “Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no bread, there is no water, and our soul loathes this disgusting food!”

Da sandte der HERR feurige Schlangen unter das Volk, die bissen das Volk, so daß viel Volk in Israel starb.

Y Jehová envió entre el pueblo serpientes ardientes, que mordían al pueblo: y murió mucho pueblo de Israel.

And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.

Da kamen sie zu Mose und sprachen: Wir haben gesündigt, daß wir wider den HERRN und wider dich geredet haben. Bitte den HERRN, daß er die Schlangen von uns wende!

Entonces el pueblo vino á Moisés, y dijeron: Pecado hemos por haber hablado contra Jehová, y contra ti: ruega á Jehová que quite de nosotros estas serpientes. Y Moisés oró por el pueblo.

Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.

The people came to Moses, and said, “We have sinned, because we have spoken against the LORD and against you. Pray to the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us.” Moses prayed for the people.

Und Mose bat für das Volk. Da sprach der HERR zu Mose: Mache dir eine feurige Schlange und befestige sie an ein Panier; und es soll geschehen, wer gebissen ist und sie ansieht, der soll am Leben bleiben!

Y Jehová dijo á Moisés: Hazte una serpiente ardiente, y ponla sobre la bandera: y será que cualquiera que fuere mordido y mirare á ella, vivirá.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.

The LORD said to Moses, “Make a venomous snake, and set it on a pole. It shall happen that everyone who is bitten, when he sees it, shall live.”

Da machte Mose eine eherne Schlange und befestigte sie an das Panier; und es geschah, wenn eine Schlange jemanden biß und er die eherne Schlange anschaute, so blieb er am Leben.

Y Moisés hizo una serpiente de metal, y púsola sobre la bandera: y fué, que cuando alguna serpiente mordía á alguno, miraba á la serpiente de metal, y vivía.

And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.

Und die Kinder Israel zogen aus und lagerten sich in Obot.

Y partieron los hijos de Israel, y asentaron campo en Oboth.

And the children of Israel set forward, and pitched in Oboth.

Und von Obot zogen sie aus und lagerten sich bei den Ruinen von Abarim in der Wüste, Moab gegenüber, gegen Aufgang der Sonne.

Y partidos de Oboth, asentaron en Ije-abarim, en el desierto que está delante de Moab, al nacimiento del sol.

And they journeyed from Oboth, and pitched at Ije-abarim, in the wilderness which is before Moab, toward the sunrising.

De allí movieron, y asentaron de la otra parte de Arnón, que está en el desierto, y que sale del término del Amorrheo; porque Arnón es término de Moab, entre Moab y el Amorrheo.

From thence they removed, and pitched on the other side of Arnon, which is in the wilderness that cometh out of the coasts of the Amorites: for Arnon is the border of Moab, between Moab and the Amorites.

und den Abhang der Täler, der sich bis zum Wohnsitz von Ar erstreckt und sich an die Grenze von Moab lehnt.»

Y á la corriente de los arroyos que va á parar en Ar, y descansa en el término de Moab.

And at the stream of the brooks that goeth down to the dwelling of Ar, and lieth upon the border of Moab.

the slope of the valleys that incline toward the dwelling of Ar, leans on the border of Moab.”

Von dannen zogen sie gen Beer. Das ist der Brunnen, davon der HERR zu Mose sagte: Versammle das Volk, so will ich ihnen Wasser geben.

Y de allí vinieron á Beer: este es el pozo del cual Jehová dijo á Moisés: Junta el pueblo, y les daré agua.

And from thence they went to Beer: that is the well whereof the LORD spake unto Moses, Gather the people together, and I will give them water.

From there they traveled to Beer; that is the well of which the LORD said to Moses, “Gather the people together, and I will give them water.”

Da sang Israel dieses Lied: «Kommt zum Brunnen! Singt von ihm!

Entonces cantó Israel esta canción: Sube, oh pozo; á él cantad:

Brunnen, den die Fürsten gruben, den die Edlen des Volkes öffneten mit dem Herrscherstab, mit ihren Stäben!» Und von dieser Wüste zogen sie gen Mattana,

The princes digged the well, the nobles of the people digged it, by the direction of the lawgiver, with their staves. And from the wilderness they went to Mattanah:

the well, which the princes dug, which the nobles of the people dug, with the scepter, and with their poles.” From the wilderness they traveled to Mattanah;

und von Mattana gen Nahaliel, und von Nahaliel gen Bamot, und von Bamot in das Tal,

And from Mattanah to Nahaliel: and from Nahaliel to Bamoth:

and from Mattanah to Nahaliel; and from Nahaliel to Bamoth;

das im Gefilde Moab liegt, dessen Gipfel der Pisga ist, der gegen die Wüste schaut.

Y de Bamoth al valle que está en los campos de Moab, y á la cumbre de Pisga, que mira á Jesimón.

And from Bamoth in the valley, that is in the country of Moab, to the top of Pisgah, which looketh toward Jeshimon.

Und Israel sandte Boten zu Sihon, dem König der Amoriter, und ließ ihm sagen:

Y envió Israel embajadores á Sehón, rey de los Amorrheos, diciendo:

Laß mich durch dein Land ziehen, wir wollen weder in die Äcker noch in die Weingärten treten, wollen auch von dem Brunnenwasser nicht trinken; wir wollen die Königsstraße ziehen, bis wir durch dein Gebiet gekommen sind!

Pasaré por tu tierra: no nos apartaremos por los labrados, ni por las viñas; no beberemos las aguas de los pozos: por el camino real iremos, hasta que pasemos tu término.

Let me pass through thy land: we will not turn into the fields, or into the vineyards; we will not drink of the waters of the well: but we will go along by the king’s high way, until we be past thy borders.

“Let me pass through your land. We will not turn away into field or vineyard. We will not drink of the water of the wells. We will go by the king’s highway, until we have passed your border.”

Aber Sihon gestattete Israel nicht, durch sein Gebiet zu ziehen, sondern versammelte sein ganzes Volk und zog aus, Israel entgegen in die Wüste. Und als er gen Jahza kam, stritt er wider Israel.

Mas Sehón no dejó pasar á Israel por su término: antes juntó Sehón todo su pueblo, y salió contra Israel en el desierto: y vino á Jahaz, y peleó contra Israel.

And Sihon would not suffer Israel to pass through his border: but Sihon gathered all his people together, and went out against Israel into the wilderness: and he came to Jahaz, and fought against Israel.

Israel aber schlug ihn mit der Schärfe des Schwertes und nahm sein Land ein, vom Arnon an bis an den Jabbok und bis an die Kinder Ammon; denn die Landmarken der Kinder Ammon waren fest.

E hirióle Israel á filo de espada, y tomó su tierra desde Arnón hasta Jaboc, hasta los hijos de Ammón: porque el término de los hijos de Ammón era fuerte.

And Israel smote him with the edge of the sword, and possessed his land from Arnon unto Jabbok, even unto the children of Ammon: for the border of the children of Ammon was strong.

Also nahm Israel alle diese Städte ein und wohnte in allen Städten der Amoriter zu Hesbon und in allen ihren Dörfern.

Y tomó Israel todas estas ciudades: y habitó Israel en todas las ciudades del Amorrheo, en Hesbón y en todas sus aldeas.

Denn Hesbon war die Stadt Sihons, des Königs der Amoriter, der zuvor mit dem König der Moabiter gestritten und ihm sein ganzes Land bis zum Arnon abgewonnen hatte.

Porque Hesbón era la ciudad de Sehón, rey de los Amorrheos; el cual había tenido guerra antes con el rey de Moab, y tomado de su poder toda su tierra hasta Arnón.

For Heshbon was the city of Sihon the king of the Amorites, who had fought against the former king of Moab, and taken all his land out of his hand, even unto Arnon.

Daher sagen die Spruchdichter: «Kommt gen Hesbon; die Stadt Sihons werde gebaut und aufgerichtet!

Por tanto, dicen los proverbistas: Venid á Hesbón, edifíquese y repárese la ciudad de Sehón:

Wherefore they that speak in proverbs say, Come into Heshbon, let the city of Sihon be built and prepared:

Denn aus Hesbon ist Feuer gefahren, eine Flamme von der Stadt Sihons, die hat Ar der Moabiter verzehrt, die Herren der Höhen am Arnon.

Que fuego salió de Hesbón, y llama de la ciudad de Sehón, y consumió á Ar de Moab, á los señores de los altos de Arnón.

For there is a fire gone out of Heshbon, a flame from the city of Sihon: it hath consumed Ar of Moab, and the lords of the high places of Arnon.

for a fire has gone out of Heshbon, a flame from the city of Sihon. It has devoured Ar of Moab, The lords of the high places of the Arnon.

Wehe dir, Moab, Volk des Kamos, du bist verloren! Man hat seine Söhne in die Flucht geschlagen und seine Töchter gefangen geführt zu Sihon, dem König der Amoriter;

¡Ay de ti, Moab! Perecido has, pueblo de Chêmos: puso sus hijos en huída, y sus hijas en cautividad, por Sehón rey de los Amorrheos.

Woe to thee, Moab! thou art undone, O people of Chemosh: he hath given his sons that escaped, and his daughters, into captivity unto Sihon king of the Amorites.

Woe to you, Moab! You are undone, people of Chemosh! He has given his sons as fugitives, and his daughters into captivity, to Sihon king of the Amorites.

und ihre Nachkommenschaft ist umgekommen von Hesbon bis Dibon, und ihre Weiber sind zu dem hinabgestiegen, der das Feuer angefacht hat, nach Medeba.»

Mas devastamos el reino de ellos; pereció Hesbón hasta Dibón, y destruimos hasta Nopha y Medeba.

Also wohnte Israel im Lande der Amoriter.

Und Mose sandte Kundschafter aus gen Jaeser, und sie gewannen ihre Dörfer und trieben die Amoriter aus, die darin wohnten.

Y envió Moisés á reconocer á Jazer; y tomaron sus aldeas, y echaron al Amorrheo que estaba allí.

And Moses sent to spy out Jaazer, and they took the villages thereof, and drove out the Amorites that were there.

Und sie wandten sich um und stiegen den Berg nach Basan hinauf. Da zog Og, der König zu Basan, aus, ihnen entgegen mit seinem ganzen Volke, zum Kampf bei Edrei.

Der HERR aber sprach zu Mose: Fürchte dich nicht vor ihm, denn ich habe ihn mit Land und Leuten in deine Hand gegeben, und du sollst mit ihm tun, wie du mit Sihon, dem König der Amoriter, getan hast, der zu Hesbon wohnte!

Entonces Jehová dijo á Moisés: No le tengas miedo, que en tu mano lo he dado, á él y á todo su pueblo, y á su tierra; y harás de él como hiciste de Sehón, rey de los Amorrheos, que habitaba en Hesbón.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Fear him not: for I have delivered him into thy hand, and all his people, and his land; and thou shalt do to him as thou didst unto Sihon king of the Amorites, which dwelt at Heshbon.

The LORD said to Moses, “Don’t fear him, for I have delivered him into your hand, with all his people, and his land. You shall do to him as you did to Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived at Heshbon.”

Und sie schlugen ihn und seine Söhne und sein ganzes Volk, daß niemand übrigblieb, und nahmen sein Land ein.

So they smote him, and his sons, and all his people, until there was none left him alive: and they possessed his land.
