Balaam dit à Balac : Elève-moi ici sept autels, et prépare ici sept bœufs et sept béliers.

Y BALAAM dijo á Balac: Edifícame aquí siete altares, y prepárame aquí siete becerros y siete carneros.

And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven oxen and seven rams.

Balaam said to Balak, “Build here seven altars for me, and prepare here seven bulls and seven rams for me.”

Balac fit comme avait dit Balaam, et il sacrifia un bœuf et un bélier par autel.

Y Balac hizo como le dijo Balaam: y ofrecieron Balac y Balaam un becerro y un carnero en cada altar.

And Balak did as Balaam had spoken; and Balak and Balaam offered on every altar a bullock and a ram.

Balaam dit encore à Balac : Reste auprès de tes victimes, et j'irai voir si Dieu se manifeste à moi ; ce qu'il m'apprendra, je te le répèterai. Et Balac resta près des victimes.

Y Balaam dijo á Balac: Ponte junto á tu holocausto, y yo iré: quizá Jehová me vendrá al encuentro, y cualquiera cosa que me mostrare, te la noticiaré. Y así se fué solo.

And Balaam said unto Balak, Stand by thy burnt offering, and I will go: peradventure the LORD will come to meet me: and whatsoever he sheweth me I will tell thee. And he went to an high place.

Balaam said to Balak, “Stand by your burnt offering, and I will go. Perhaps the LORD will come to meet me. Whatever he shows me I will tell you.” He went to a bare height.

Balaam alla donc interroger Dieu ; il marcha droit devant lui, et Dieu lui apparut ; Balaam dit à Dieu : J'ai préparé sept autels, et j'ai placé sur chaque autel un bœuf et un bélier.

Y vino Dios al encuentro de Balaam, y éste le dijo: Siete altares he ordenado, y en cada altar he ofrecido un becerro y un carnero.

And God met Balaam: and he said unto him, I have prepared seven altars, and I have offered upon every altar a bullock and a ram.

God met Balaam, and he said to him, “I have prepared the seven altars, and I have offered up a bull and a ram on every altar.”

Alors, Dieu mit sa parole en la bouche de Balaam, et il lui dit : Quand tu seras de retour auprès de Balac, Voici ce que tu lui diras.

Y Jehová puso palabra en la boca de Balaam, y díjole: Vuelve á Balac, y has de hablar así.

And the LORD put a word in Balaam’s mouth, and said, Return unto Balak, and thus thou shalt speak.

The LORD put a word in Balaam’s mouth, and said, “Return to Balak, and thus you shall speak.”

Balaam retourna ensuite vers Balac ; or, celui-ci se tenait auprès de ses holocaustes, avec tous les princes de Moab ; et l'Esprit de Dieu vint en Balaam.

Y volvió á él, y he aquí estaba él junto á su holocausto, él y todos los príncipes de Moab.

And he returned unto him, and, lo, he stood by his burnt sacrifice, he, and all the princes of Moab.

He returned to him, and behold, he was standing by his burnt offering, he, and all the princes of Moab.

Et Balaam, commençant son discours prophétique, dit : Balac, roi de Moab, m'a fait venir de la Mésopotamie et des montagnes de l'orient, et il m'a dit : Viens, fais des imprécations contre Jacob ; maudis Israël.

Y él tomó su parábola, y dijo: De Aram me trajo Balac, rey de Moab, de los montes del oriente: ven, maldíceme á Jacob; y ven, execra á Israel.

And he took up his parable, and said, Balak the king of Moab hath brought me from Aram, out of the mountains of the east, saying, Come, curse me Jacob, and come, defy Israel.

He took up his parable, and said, “From Aram has Balak brought me, the king of Moab from the mountains of the East. Come, curse Jacob for me. Come, defy Israel.

Pourquoi ferais-je des imprécations contre celui à qui le Seigneur ne veut point de mal ? Pourquoi maudirais-je celui que Dieu ne maudit point ?

¿Por qué maldeciré yo al que Dios no maldijo? ¿y por qué he de execrar al que Jehová no ha execrado?

How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the LORD hath not defied?

How shall I curse whom God has not cursed? How shall I defy whom the LORD has not defied?

Je le vois de ces montagnes, je l'aperçois du haut de ces collines : voici un peuple qui demeurera isolé, il ne sera point compté parmi les nations.

Porque de la cumbre de las peñas lo veré, y desde los collados lo miraré: he aquí un pueblo que habitará confiado, y no será contado entre las gentes.

For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations.

For from the top of the rocks I see him. From the hills I see him. Behold, it is a people that dwells alone, and shall not be listed among the nations.

Qui connaîtra la race de Jacob, et qui énumèrera les tribus d'Israël ? Puisse mon âme mourir avec les âmes justes ; puisse ma race être comme celle-là !

¿Quién contará el polvo de Jacob, o el número de la cuarta parte de Israel? Muera mi persona de la muerte de los rectos, y mi postrimería sea como la suya.

Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his!

Balac dit alors à Balaam : Qu'as-tu fait ? Je t'ai appelé pour que tu maudisses mes ennemis, et voilà que tu les bénis !

Entonces Balac dijo á Balaam: ¿Qué me has hecho? hete tomado para que maldigas á mis enemigos, y he aquí has proferido bendiciones.

And Balak said unto Balaam, What hast thou done unto me? I took thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast blessed them altogether.

Balak said to Balaam, “What have you done to me? I took you to curse my enemies, and behold, you have blessed them altogether.”

Balaam répondit à Balac : Ne dois-je pas fidèlement répéter les paroles que Dieu a mises dans ma bouche ?

Y él respondió, y dijo: ¿No observaré yo lo que Jehová pusiere en mi boca para decirlo?

And he answered and said, Must I not take heed to speak that which the LORD hath put in my mouth?

He answered and said, “Must I not take heed to speak that which the LORD puts in my mouth?”

Balac répartit : Viens avec moi en un autre lieu d'où tu ne pourras voir tout ce peuple ; tu en verras une part sans le voir tout entier ; maudis-le de cet endroit.

Y dijo Balac: Ruégote que vengas conmigo á otro lugar desde el cual lo veas; su extremidad solamente verás, que no lo verás todo; y desde allí me lo maldecirás.

And Balak said unto him, Come, I pray thee, with me unto another place, from whence thou mayest see them: thou shalt see but the utmost part of them, and shalt not see them all: and curse me them from thence.

Balak said to him, “Please come with me to another place, where you may see them. You shall see just part of them, and shall not see them all. Curse them from there for me.”

Et il l'emmena au plus haut du champ, sur le plateau d'un rocher, et il y éleva sept autels, et il plaça sur chaque autel un bœuf et un bélier.

Y llevólo al campo de Sophim, á la cumbre de Pisga, y edificó siete altares, y ofreció un becerro y un carnero en cada altar.

And he brought him into the field of Zophim, to the top of Pisgah, and built seven altars, and offered a bullock and a ram on every altar.

Balaam dit à Balac : Reste auprès de tes victimes, je vais interroger Dieu.

Entonces él dijo á Balac: Ponte aquí junto á tu holocausto, y yo iré á encontrar á Dios allí.

And he said unto Balak, Stand here by thy burnt offering, while I meet the Lord yonder.

He said to Balak, “Stand here by your burnt offering, while I meet God over there.”

Et Dieu vint à la rencontre de Balaam ; il lui mit sa parole dans la bouche, et il lui dit : Retourne auprès de Balac ; voici ce que tu lui diras.

Y Jehová salió al encuentro de Balaam, y puso palabra en su boca, y díjole: Vuelve á Balac, y así has de decir.

And the LORD met Balaam, and put a word in his mouth, and said, Go again unto Balak, and say thus.

Et Balaam retourna vers Balac, qui se tenait près de ses holocaustes, avec tous les princes de Moab. Balac lui dit : Que t'a dit le Seigneur ?

Y vino á él, y he aquí que él estaba junto á su holocausto, y con él los príncipes de Moab: y díjole Balac: ¿Qué ha dicho Jehová?

And when he came to him, behold, he stood by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said unto him, What hath the LORD spoken?

He came to him, and behold, he was standing by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. Balak said to him, “What has the LORD spoken?”

Et Balaam, commençant son discours prophétique, dit : Lève-toi, Balac, et écoute ; écoute comme témoin, fils de Séphor :

Entonces él tomó su parábola, y dijo: Balac, levántate y oye; escucha mis palabras, hijo de Zippor:

And he took up his parable, and said, Rise up, Balak, and hear; hearken unto me, thou son of Zippor:

He took up his parable, and said, “Rise up, Balak, and hear! Listen to me, you son of Zippor.

On ne tient pas Dieu en suspens comme l'homme ; on ne le menace pas comme les fils de l'homme ; lui qui a dit, ne fera-t-il pas ? Il parlera : sa parole ne subsistera-t-elle pas ?

Dios no es hombre, para que mienta; ni hijo de hombre para que se arrepienta: el dijo, ¿y no hará?; habló, ¿y no lo ejecutará?

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Quant à moi, il m'a choisi pour bénir, et je bénirai ; rien ne m'en détournera.

He aquí, yo he tomado bendición: y él bendijo, y no podré revocarla.

Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.

Il n'y aura point de souffrance en Jacob, on ne verra point de douleur en Israël. Le Seigneur son Dieu est avec lui, la gloire de ses princes est en lui.

No ha notado iniquidad en Jacob, ni ha visto perversidad en Israel: Jehová su Dios es con él, y júbilo de rey en él.

He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the LORD his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them.

He has not seen iniquity in Jacob. Neither has he seen perverseness in Israel. The LORD his God is with him. The shout of a king is among them.

C'est Dieu qui l'a tiré d'Egypte ; sa gloire est comme celle de la licorne.

Dios los ha sacado de Egipto; tiene fuerzas como de unicornio.

God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn.

God brings them out of Egypt. He has as it were the strength of the wild ox.

Il n'y a point d'augures en Jacob, il n'y a point d'art divinatoire en Israël ; au temps voulu Jacob entendra la parole, Israël entendra ce que Dieu doit accomplir.

Porque en Jacob no hay agüero, ni adivinación en Israel: como ahora, será dicho de Jacob y de Israel: ¡Lo que ha hecho Dios!

Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!

Surely there is no enchantment with Jacob; neither is there any divination with Israel. Now it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, ‘What has God done!’

Son peuple se lèvera comme un lionceau ; il s'exaltera comme un lion ; il ne dormira point qu'il n'ait dévoré sa proie et bu le sang du carnage.

He aquí el pueblo, que como león se levantará, y como león se erguirá: no se echará hasta que coma la presa, y beba la sangre de los muertos.

Behold, the people shall rise up as a great lion, and lift up himself as a young lion: he shall not lie down until he eat of the prey, and drink the blood of the slain.

Behold, a people rises up as a lioness. As a lion he lifts himself up. He shall not lie down until he eats of the prey, and drinks the blood of the slain.”

Et Balac dit à Balaam : Si tu n'as pu les maudire, du moins ne les bénis pas.

Entonces Balac dijo á Balaam: Ya que no lo maldices, ni tampoco lo bendigas.

And Balak said unto Balaam, Neither curse them at all, nor bless them at all.

Balak said to Balaam, “Neither curse them at all, nor bless them at all.”

Balaam répondit à Balac : Ne t'ai-je point dit : La parole que me dira le Seigneur, je la répèterai ?

Y Balaam respondió, y dijo á Balac: ¿No te he dicho que todo lo que Jehová me dijere, aquello tengo de hacer?

But Balaam answered and said unto Balak, Told not I thee, saying, All that the LORD speaketh, that I must do?

But Balaam answered Balak, “Didn’t I tell you, saying, ‘All that the LORD speaks, that I must do’?”

Et Balac dit à Balaam : Viens, je vais t'emmener ailleurs, pour voir si la du moins il plaira à Dieu que tu les maudisses.

Y dijo Balac á Balaam: Ruégote que vengas, te llevaré á otro lugar; por ventura parecerá bien á Dios que desde allí me lo maldigas.

And Balak said unto Balaam, Come, I pray thee, I will bring thee unto another place; peradventure it will please God that thou mayest curse me them from thence.

Balak said to Balaam, “Come now, I will take you to another place; perhaps it will please God that you may curse them for me from there.”

Balac emmena Balaam sur la cime de Phégor, qui s'étend vers le désert.

Y Balac llevó á Balaam á la cumbre de Peor, que mira hacia Jesimón.

And Balak brought Balaam unto the top of Peor, that looketh toward Jeshimon.
