Então, Balaão disse para Balaque: "Fica junto à tua oferta queimada e eu me afastarei. Talvez Yahweh venha e me encontre. Tudo o que Ele me mostrar eu te direi". Então ele se foi para o topo de uma montanha sem árvores.
Y Balaam dijo á Balac: Ponte junto á tu holocausto, y yo iré: quizá Jehová me vendrá al encuentro, y cualquiera cosa que me mostrare, te la noticiaré. Y así se fué solo.
And Balaam said unto Balak, Stand by thy burnt offering, and I will go: peradventure the LORD will come to meet me: and whatsoever he sheweth me I will tell thee. And he went to an high place.
Balaam said to Balak, “Stand by your burnt offering, and I will go. Perhaps the LORD will come to meet me. Whatever he shows me I will tell you.” He went to a bare height.
Deus o encontrou, e Balaão lhe disse: "Eu preparei sete altares, e ofereci um novilho e um carneiro sobre cada um".
Y vino Dios al encuentro de Balaam, y éste le dijo: Siete altares he ordenado, y en cada altar he ofrecido un becerro y un carnero.
And God met Balaam: and he said unto him, I have prepared seven altars, and I have offered upon every altar a bullock and a ram.

Yahweh colocou uma mensagem na boca de Balaão e disse: "Retorna a Balaque e fala para ele".
Y Jehová puso palabra en la boca de Balaam, y díjole: Vuelve á Balac, y has de hablar así.
And the LORD put a word in Balaam’s mouth, and said, Return unto Balak, and thus thou shalt speak.

Assim, Balaão retornou a Balaque, que estava em pé junto à sua oferta queimada, e todos os lideres de Moabe estavam com ele.
Y volvió á él, y he aquí estaba él junto á su holocausto, él y todos los príncipes de Moab.
And he returned unto him, and, lo, he stood by his burnt sacrifice, he, and all the princes of Moab.

Então Balaão começou a falar a sua profecia e disse: "Balaque trouxe-me de Arã. O rei de Moabe das montanhas do oriente. 'Vem, amaldiçoa Jacó para mim', ele disse: 'Vem, sentencia Israel'.
Y él tomó su parábola, y dijo: De Aram me trajo Balac, rey de Moab, de los montes del oriente: ven, maldíceme á Jacob; y ven, execra á Israel.
And he took up his parable, and said, Balak the king of Moab hath brought me from Aram, out of the mountains of the east, saying, Come, curse me Jacob, and come, defy Israel.

Como poderei amaldiçoar aqueles a quem Deus não amaldiçoou? Como poderei me opor àqueles a quem Yahweh não se opõe?
¿Por qué maldeciré yo al que Dios no maldijo? ¿y por qué he de execrar al que Jehová no ha execrado?
How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the LORD hath not defied?
How shall I curse whom God has not cursed? How shall I defy whom the LORD has not defied?
Pois do topo dos rochedos eu o vejo; das colinas eu o contemplo. Vede, existe um povo que vive sozinho e não se considera apenas uma nação comum.
Porque de la cumbre de las peñas lo veré, y desde los collados lo miraré: he aquí un pueblo que habitará confiado, y no será contado entre las gentes.
For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations.

Quem pode contar o pó de Jacó ou até mesmo o número da quarta parte de Israel? Que eu morra a morte dos justos, e que a minha vida termine como a dele!"
¿Quién contará el polvo de Jacob, o el número de la cuarta parte de Israel? Muera mi persona de la muerte de los rectos, y mi postrimería sea como la suya.
Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his!

Balaque disse para Balaão: "Que me fizeste? Eu te trouxe para amaldiçoar os meus inimigos, porém tu os abençoastes".
Entonces Balac dijo á Balaam: ¿Qué me has hecho? hete tomado para que maldigas á mis enemigos, y he aquí has proferido bendiciones.
And Balak said unto Balaam, What hast thou done unto me? I took thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast blessed them altogether.
Balak said to Balaam, “What have you done to me? I took you to curse my enemies, and behold, you have blessed them altogether.”
Balaão respondeu e disse: "Não deveria eu ser cuidadoso de dizer apenas o que Yahweh coloca na minha boca?"
Y él respondió, y dijo: ¿No observaré yo lo que Jehová pusiere en mi boca para decirlo?
And he answered and said, Must I not take heed to speak that which the LORD hath put in my mouth?
He answered and said, “Must I not take heed to speak that which the LORD puts in my mouth?”
Assim, Balaque lhe disse: "Por favor, vem comigo para outro lugar onde tu os podes ver. Verás deles somente os mais próximos, não todos eles. Dali, tu os amaldiçoarás para mim".
Y dijo Balac: Ruégote que vengas conmigo á otro lugar desde el cual lo veas; su extremidad solamente verás, que no lo verás todo; y desde allí me lo maldecirás.
And Balak said unto him, Come, I pray thee, with me unto another place, from whence thou mayest see them: thou shalt see but the utmost part of them, and shalt not see them all: and curse me them from thence.
Balak said to him, “Please come with me to another place, where you may see them. You shall see just part of them, and shall not see them all. Curse them from there for me.”
Assim, ele levou Balaão para o campo de Zofim, ao cume do Monte Pisga, e edificou mais sete altares. Ele ofereceu um novilho e um carneiro sobre cada altar.
Y llevólo al campo de Sophim, á la cumbre de Pisga, y edificó siete altares, y ofreció un becerro y un carnero en cada altar.
And he brought him into the field of Zophim, to the top of Pisgah, and built seven altars, and offered a bullock and a ram on every altar.

Então Balaão disse para Balaque: "Fica aqui junto à tua oferta queimada, enquanto eu me encontro com Yahweh ali".
Entonces él dijo á Balac: Ponte aquí junto á tu holocausto, y yo iré á encontrar á Dios allí.
And he said unto Balak, Stand here by thy burnt offering, while I meet the Lord yonder.
He said to Balak, “Stand here by your burnt offering, while I meet God over there.”
Assim, Yahweh encontrou a Balaão e colocou uma mensagem em sua boca. Ele disse: "Retorna a Balaque e lhe dá minha mensagem".
Y Jehová salió al encuentro de Balaam, y puso palabra en su boca, y díjole: Vuelve á Balac, y así has de decir.
And the LORD met Balaam, and put a word in his mouth, and said, Go again unto Balak, and say thus.
The LORD met Balaam, and put a word in his mouth, and said, “Return to Balak, and say this.”
Balaão retornou a ele, e eis que ele estava em pé junto à sua oferta queimada, e os líderes de Moabe estavam com ele. Então Balaque lhe disse: "O que Yahweh disse?"
Y vino á él, y he aquí que él estaba junto á su holocausto, y con él los príncipes de Moab: y díjole Balac: ¿Qué ha dicho Jehová?
And when he came to him, behold, he stood by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said unto him, What hath the LORD spoken?

Balaão começou a sua profecia. Ele disse: "Levanta-te, Balaque, e escuta. Ouve-me, filho de Zipor.
Entonces él tomó su parábola, y dijo: Balac, levántate y oye; escucha mis palabras, hijo de Zippor:
And he took up his parable, and said, Rise up, Balak, and hear; hearken unto me, thou son of Zippor:

Deus não é homem, para que minta, nem ser humano, para que mude sua mente. Ele teria prometido alguma coisa sem cumpri-la? Ele teria dito que faria alguma coisa sem realizá-la?
Dios no es hombre, para que mienta; ni hijo de hombre para que se arrepienta: el dijo, ¿y no hará?; habló, ¿y no lo ejecutará?
God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Olha, recebi uma ordem para abençoar. Deus deu uma benção, e eu não posso revertê-la.
He aquí, yo he tomado bendición: y él bendijo, y no podré revocarla.
Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.

Ele não enxergou dureza em Jacó nem problema em Israel. Yahweh, o seu Deus, está com eles, e no meio deles há aclamações ao seu rei.
No ha notado iniquidad en Jacob, ni ha visto perversidad en Israel: Jehová su Dios es con él, y júbilo de rey en él.
He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the LORD his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them.
He has not seen iniquity in Jacob. Neither has he seen perverseness in Israel. The LORD his God is with him. The shout of a king is among them.
Deus os tirou do Egito com a força de um boi selvagem.
Dios los ha sacado de Egipto; tiene fuerzas como de unicornio.
God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn.
God brings them out of Egypt. He has as it were the strength of the wild ox.
Não há encantamento que funcione contra Jacó, nem adivinhação que cause dano a Israel. Em vez disso, se dirá de Jacó e Israel: 'Vede o que Deus fez!'
Porque en Jacob no hay agüero, ni adivinación en Israel: como ahora, será dicho de Jacob y de Israel: ¡Lo que ha hecho Dios!
Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!
Surely there is no enchantment with Jacob; neither is there any divination with Israel. Now it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, ‘What has God done!’
Vê, o povo se levanta como uma leoa, como um leão que sobe e ataca. Ele não se deitará até que coma a sua vítima e beba o sangue dos que ele matar".
He aquí el pueblo, que como león se levantará, y como león se erguirá: no se echará hasta que coma la presa, y beba la sangre de los muertos.
Behold, the people shall rise up as a great lion, and lift up himself as a young lion: he shall not lie down until he eat of the prey, and drink the blood of the slain.
Behold, a people rises up as a lioness. As a lion he lifts himself up. He shall not lie down until he eats of the prey, and drinks the blood of the slain.”
Então Balaque disse para Balaão: "Se não os amaldiçoares, também não os abençoes".
Entonces Balac dijo á Balaam: Ya que no lo maldices, ni tampoco lo bendigas.
And Balak said unto Balaam, Neither curse them at all, nor bless them at all.
Balak said to Balaam, “Neither curse them at all, nor bless them at all.”
Porém Balaão, respondendo, disse para Balaque: "Eu não te falei que tenho de dizer tudo o que Yahweh me falou para dizer?"
Y Balaam respondió, y dijo á Balac: ¿No te he dicho que todo lo que Jehová me dijere, aquello tengo de hacer?
But Balaam answered and said unto Balak, Told not I thee, saying, All that the LORD speaketh, that I must do?
But Balaam answered Balak, “Didn’t I tell you, saying, ‘All that the LORD speaks, that I must do’?”
Assim Balaque respondeu para Balaão: "Vem agora, eu te levarei a outro lugar. Talvez dali Deus Se agrade que os amaldiçoes para mim".
Y dijo Balac á Balaam: Ruégote que vengas, te llevaré á otro lugar; por ventura parecerá bien á Dios que desde allí me lo maldigas.
And Balak said unto Balaam, Come, I pray thee, I will bring thee unto another place; peradventure it will please God that thou mayest curse me them from thence.
Balak said to Balaam, “Come now, I will take you to another place; perhaps it will please God that you may curse them for me from there.”
Assim, Balaque levou Balaão para o cume do Monte Peor, com vista para o deserto.
Y Balac llevó á Balaam á la cumbre de Peor, que mira hacia Jesimón.
And Balak brought Balaam unto the top of Peor, that looketh toward Jeshimon.
