Israel ficou em Sitim, e os homens começaram a se prostituir com as mulheres de Moabe,

Y REPOSÓ Israel en Sittim, y el pueblo empezó á fornicar con las hijas de Moab:

And Israel abode in Shittim, and the people began to commit whoredom with the daughters of Moab.

Israel stayed in Shittim; and the people began to play the prostitute with the daughters of Moab;

pois os moabitas convidaram o povo aos sacrifícios dos seus deuses. E o povo comeu e se prostou diante dos deuses moabitas.

Las cuales llamaron al pueblo á los sacrificios de sus dioses: y el pueblo comió, é inclinóse á sus dioses.

And they called the people unto the sacrifices of their gods: and the people did eat, and bowed down to their gods.

Os homens de Israel se juntaram em adoração a Baal-Peor, e a ira de Yahweh se acendeu contra Israel.

Y allegóse el pueblo á Baal-peor; y el furor de Jehová se encendió contra Israel.

And Israel joined himself unto Baal-peor: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel.

Israel joined himself to Baal Peor, and the LORD’s anger burned against Israel.

Yahweh disse a Moisés: "Mata todos os líderes do povo e os pendura diante de Mim para expô-los à luz do dia, para que a Minha fúria se retire de Israel".

Y Jehová dijo á Moisés: Toma todos los príncipes del pueblo, y ahórcalos á Jehová delante del sol; y la ira del furor de Jehová se apartará de Israel.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people, and hang them up before the LORD against the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may be turned away from Israel.

The LORD said to Moses, “Take all the chiefs of the people, and hang them up to the LORD before the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may turn away from Israel.”

Então, Moisés disse aos juízes de Israel: "Cada um de vós executará os homens de sua tribo que se juntaram em adoração a Baal-Peor".

Entonces Moisés dijo á los jueces de Israel: Matad cada uno á aquellos de los suyos que se han allegado á Baal-peor.

And Moses said unto the judges of Israel, Slay ye every one his men that were joined unto Baal-peor.

Moses said to the judges of Israel, “Everyone kill his men who have joined themselves to Baal Peor.”

Então, um israelita veio e trouxe aos membros de sua família uma mulher midianita. Isso acontenceu à vista de Moisés e de toda a comunidade do povo de Israel, enquanto eles choravam diante da Tenda do Encontro.

Y he aquí un varón de los hijos de Israel vino y trajo una Madianita á sus hermanos, á ojos de Moisés y de toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel, llorando ellos á la puerta del tabernáculo del testimonio.

And, behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought unto his brethren a Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, who were weeping before the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

Quando Fineias, filho de Eleazar, filho de Arão, o sacerdote, viu isso, levantou-se do meio da comunidade e pegou uma lança.

Y viólo Phinees, hijo de Eleazar, hijo de Aarón el sacerdote, y levantóse de en medio de la congregación, y tomó una lanza en su mano:

And when Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose up from among the congregation, and took a javelin in his hand;

Ele seguiu o homem israelita até Tenda e atravessou ambos os corpos com a lança, o homem israelita e a mulher. Então, a praga que o Senhor havia mandado ao povo de Israel, cessou.

Y fué tras el varón de Israel á la tienda, y alanceólos á ambos, al varón de Israel, y á la mujer por su vientre. Y cesó la mortandad de los hijos de Israel.

And he went after the man of Israel into the tent, and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her belly. So the plague was stayed from the children of Israel.

Aqueles que morreram pela praga foram vinte e quatro mil.

Y murieron de aquella mortandad veinte y cuatro mil.

And those that died in the plague were twenty and four thousand.

Yahweh falou com Moisés e disse:

Entonces Jehová habló á Moisés, diciendo:

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

"Fineias, filho de Eleazar, filho de Arão, o sacerdote, desviou a Minha ira contra Israel, porque ele tinha paixão pelo Meu zelo entre eles. Assim, não consumi o povo de Israel em Minha ira.

Phinees, hijo de Eleazar, hijo de Aarón el sacerdote, ha hecho tornar mi furor de los hijos de Israel, llevado de celo entre ellos: por lo cual yo no he consumido en mi celo á los hijos de Israel.

Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, hath turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, while he was zealous for my sake among them, that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy.

“Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, has turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, in that he was jealous with my jealousy among them, so that I didn’t consume the children of Israel in my jealousy.

Portanto, dize: Yahweh diz: "Eu estou entregando a Fineias a Minha aliança de paz.

Por tanto diles: He aquí yo establezco mi pacto de paz con él;

Wherefore say, Behold, I give unto him my covenant of peace:

Therefore say, ‘Behold, I give to him my covenant of peace.

Esta será aliança de um sacerdócio perpétuo, para ele e sua descendência depois dele, pois foi zeloso a Mim, seu Deus. Ele fez expiação pelo povo de Israel"".

Y tendrá él, y su simiente después de él, el pacto del sacerdocio perpetuo; por cuanto tuvo celo por su Dios, é hizo expiación por los hijos de Israel.

And he shall have it, and his seed after him, even the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his God, and made an atonement for the children of Israel.

O nome do homem israelita que foi morto com a mulher midianita era Zinri, filho de Salu, líder de uma casa paterna dos simeonitas.

Y el nombre del varón muerto, que fué muerto con la Madianita, era Zimri hijo de Salu, jefe de una familia de la tribu de Simeón.

Now the name of the Israelite that was slain, even that was slain with the Midianitish woman, was Zimri, the son of Salu, a prince of a chief house among the Simeonites.

O nome da mulher midianita que foi morta era Cozbi, filha de Zur, cabeça de clã e família dentre os midianitas.

Y el nombre de la mujer Madianita muerta, era Cozbi, hija de Zur, príncipe de pueblos, padre de familia en Madián.

And the name of the Midianitish woman that was slain was Cozbi, the daughter of Zur; he was head over a people, and of a chief house in Midian.

The name of the Midianite woman who was slain was Cozbi, the daughter of Zur. He was head of the people of a fathers’ house in Midian.

Também Yahweh falou com Moisés e lhe disse:

Y Jehová habló á Moisés, diciendo:

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

"Trata os midianitas como inimigos e os ataca,

Hostilizaréis á los Madianitas, y los heriréis:

Vex the Midianites, and smite them:

“Harass the Midianites, and strike them;

pois eles vos trataram como inimigos, com seu engano. Eles vos conduziram à maldade, no caso de Peor e no caso de sua irmã Cozbi, a filha do líder de Midiã, que foi morta no dia da praga, no caso de Peor".

Por cuanto ellos os afligieron á vosotros con sus ardides, con que os han engañado en el negocio de Peor, y en el negocio de Cozbi, hija del príncipe de Madián, su hermana, la cual fué muerta el día de la mortandad por causa de Peor.

For they vex you with their wiles, wherewith they have beguiled you in the matter of Peor, and in the matter of Cozbi, the daughter of a prince of Midian, their sister, which was slain in the day of the plague for Peor’s sake.

for they harassed you with their wiles, wherein they have deceived you in the matter of Peor, and in the incident regarding Cozbi, the daughter of the prince of Midian, their sister, who was slain on the day of the plague in the matter of Peor.”
