1Cuando la plaga terminó, el Señor les dijo a Moisés y a Eleazar (hijo de Aarón el sacerdote):
2«Levanten un censo de todos los hombres de Israel mayores de veinte años, para saber cuántos hombres de cada tribu y familia pueden ir a la guerra».
3Moisés y Eleazar hicieron el censo en la llanura de Moab, juntó al Jordán, frente a Jericó, donde el pueblo se había establecido. Estos son los resultados del censo:

5Tribu de Rubén: 43.730. (Rubén era el hijo mayor de Israel). En esta tribu había los siguientes clanes, nombrados de acuerdo con los nombres de los hijos de Rubén: Los enoquitas, descendientes de Enoc. Los faluitas, descendientes de Falú. (En el clan de Eliab, que era uno de los hijos de Falú, estaban las familias de Nemuel, Datán y Abirán. Datán y Abirán son los dos líderes que conspiraron junto a Coré en contra de Moisés y Aarón, y que se rebelaron contra Dios mismo y su autoridad. Pero la tierra abrió su boca y se los tragó; doscientos cincuenta hombres fueron destruidos por fuego del Señor aquel día, a modo de advertencia para toda la nación. Pero los hijos de Coré no murieron). Los jezronitas, descendientes de Jezrón. Los carmitas, descendientes de Carmí.

12Tribu de Simeón: 22.200. Esta tribu estaba formada por los siguientes clanes fundados por los hijos de Simeón: Los nemuelitas, descendientes de Nemuel. Los jaminitas, descendientes de Jamín. Los jaquinitas, descendientes de Jaquín. Los zeraítas, descendientes de Zera. Los saulitas, descendientes de Saúl.

15Tribu de Gad: 40.500. Esta tribu estaba formada por los siguientes clanes fundados por los hijos de Gad: Los zefonitas, descendientes de Zefón. Los jaguitas, descendientes de Jaguí. Los sunitas, descendientes de Suni. Los oznitas, descendientes de Ozni. Los eritas, descendientes de Erí. Los aroditas, descendientes de Arodí. Los arelitas, descendientes de Arelí.

Este censo además incluyó los subclanes de Fares: Los jezronitas, descendientes de Jezrón. Los jamulitas descendientes de Jamul.

28Tribu de José: 32.500 en la media tribu de Efraín, y 52.700 en la media tribu de Manasés. La media tribu de Manasés estaba formada por el clan de los maquiritas descendientes de Maquir. El subclan de los maquiritas estaba formado por los galaaditas descendientes de Galaad. Las familias de los galaaditas eran las siguientes: Los jezeritas, descendientes de Jezer. Los jelequitas, descendientes de Jélec. Los asrielitas, descendientes de Asriel. Los siquemitas, descendientes de Siquén. Los semidaítas, descendientes de Semidá. Los jeferitas, descendientes de Jéfer. Zelofejad el hijo de Jéfer no tuvo hijos. Estos son los nombres de sus hijas: Majlá, Noa, Joglá, Milca y Tirsá. Los 32.500 contados en la media tribu de Efraín eran de los siguientes clanes, cuyos nombres corresponden a los hijos de Efraín: Los sutelaítas, descendientes de Sutela (Un subclan de los sutelaítas, los eranitas, eran descendientes de Erán, hijo de Sutela). Los bequeritas, descendientes de Béquer. Los tajanitas, descendientes de Taján.

Los subclanes de Bela eran dos: Los arditas, descendientes de Ard, y los naamitas, descendientes de Naamán. Los asbelitas, descendientes de Asbel. Los ajiranitas, descendientes de Ajirán. Los sufanitas, descendientes de Sufán. Los jufanitas, descendientes de Jufán.

Aser también tuvo una hija llamada Sera.

51El número total de hombres capaces de salir a la guerra en Israel era de 601.730.
52Entonces el Señor le dijo a Moisés
53que dividiera la tierra entre las tribus, en proporción a la población de cada una, en la forma indicada por el censo:
54Las tribus más grandes recibirían más tierras, y las tribus, más pequeñas, menos.
55La tierra seria distribuida por sorteo haciendo distinción entre las tribus grandes y las pequeñas.

57Estos son los clanes de los levitas contados en el censo: Los guersonitas, descendientes de Guersón. Los coatitas, descendientes de Coat. Los meraritas, descendientes de Merari.
58Las familias de la tribu de Leví son las siguientes: Los libnitas, los hebronitas, los majlitas, los musitas, y los coreítas. Cuando Leví estaba en Egipto tuvo una hija a la que llamó Jocabed. Se casó con Amirán hijo de Coat. Ellos fueron padres de Aarón, Moisés y Miriam.

60Aarón tuvo los siguientes hijos: Nadab, Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar.
61Pero Nadab y Abiú murieron cuando ofrecieron fuego diferente al que Dios les había indicado.
62El número total de los levitas en el censo fue de 23.000, contando todos los varones de un mes hacia arriba. Sin embargo, los levitas no fueron incluidos en la cifra total del censo del pueblo de Israel, porque los levitas no iban a recibir tierras cuando estas se distribuyeran entre las tribus.
63Estas, pues, son las cifras del censo preparado por Moisés y Eleazar el sacerdote, junto al río Jordán, en la ribera opuesta a Jericó.
64Ninguna persona de este censo había sido contada en el censo anterior realizado en el desierto de Sinaí.
65Todos los contados habían muerto, porque el Señor había dicho de ellos: «Morirán en el desierto». Las únicas excepciones eran Caleb (hijo de Jefone) y Josué (hijo de Nun).

1Y ACONTECIÓ después de la mortandad, que Jehová habló á Moisés, y á Eleazar hijo del sacerdote Aarón, diciendo:
2Tomad la suma de toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel, de veinte años arriba, por las casas de sus padres, todos los que puedan salir á la guerra en Israel.
3Y Moisés y Eleazar el sacerdote hablaron con ellos en los campos de Moab, junto al Jordán de Jericó, diciendo:
4Contaréis el pueblo de veinte años arriba, como mandó Jehová á Moisés y á los hijos de Israel, que habían salido de tierra de Egipto.
5Rubén primogénito de Israel: los hijos de Rubén: Hanoc, del cual era la familia de los Hanochîtas; de Phallú, la familia de los Phalluitas;
6De Hesrón, la familia de los Hesronitas; de Carmi, la familia de los Carmitas.
7Estas son las familias de los Rubenitas: y sus contados fueron cuarenta y tres mil setecientos y treinta.
8Y los hijos de Phallú: Eliab.
9Y los hijos de Eliab: Nemuel, y Dathán, y Abiram. Estos Dathán y Abiram fueron los del consejo de la congregación, que hicieron el motín contra Moisés y Aarón con la compañía de Coré, cuando se amotinaron contra Jehová;
10Que la tierra abrió su boca y tragó á ellos y á Coré, cuando aquella compañía murió, cuando consumió el fuego doscientos y cincuenta varones, los cuales fueron por señal.
11Mas los hijos de Coré no murieron.
12Los hijos de Simeón por sus familias: de Nemuel, la familia de los Nemuelitas; de Jamín, la familia de los Jaminitas; de Jachîn, la familia de los Jachînitas;
13De Zera, la familia de los Zeraitas; de Saul, la familia de los Saulitas.
14Estas son las familias de los Simeonitas, veinte y dos mil y doscientos.
15Los hijos de Gad por sus familias: de Zephón, la familia de los Zephonitas; de Aggi, la familia de los Aggitas; de Suni, la familia de los Sunitas;
16De Ozni, la familia de los Oznitas; de Eri, la familia de los Eritas;

51Estos son los contados de los hijos de Israel, seiscientos y un mil setecientos y treinta.
52Y habló Jehová á Moisés, diciendo:
53A estos se repartirá la tierra en heredad, por la cuenta de los nombres.
54A los más darás mayor heredad, y á los menos menor; y á cada uno se le dará su heredad conforme á sus contados.
55Empero la tierra será repartida por suerte; y por los nombres de las tribus de sus padres heredarán.
56Conforme á la suerte será repartida su heredad entre el grande y el pequeño.
57Y los contados de los Levitas por sus familias son estos: de Gersón, la familia de los Gersonitas; de Coath, la familia de los Coathitas; de Merari, la familia de los Meraritas.
58Estas son las familias de los Levitas: la familia de los Libnitas, la familia de los Hebronitas, la familia de los Mahalitas, la familia de los Musitas, la familia de los Coritas. Y Coath engendró á Amram.
59Y la mujer de Amram se llamó Jochâbed, hija de Leví, la cual nació á Leví en Egipto: ésta parió de Amram á Aarón y á Moisés, y á María su hermana.
60Y á Aarón nacieron Nadab y Abiú, Eleazar é Ithamar.
61Mas Nadab y Abiú murieron, cuando ofrecieron fuego extraño delante de Jehová.
62Y los contados de los Levitas fueron veinte y tres mil, todos varones de un mes arriba: porque no fueron contados entre los hijos de Israel, por cuanto no les había de ser dada heredad entre los hijos de Israel.
63Estos son los contados por Moisés y Eleazar el sacerdote, los cuales contaron los hijos de Israel en los campos de Moab, junto al Jordán de Jericó.
64Y entre estos ninguno hubo de los contados por Moisés y Aarón el sacerdote, los cuales contaron á los hijos de Israel en el desierto de Sinaí.
65Porque Jehová les dijo: Han de morir en el desierto: y no quedó varón de ellos, sino Caleb hijo de Jephone, y Josué hijo de Nun.

1And it came to pass after the plague, that the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, saying,

3And Moses and Eleazar the priest spake with them in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho, saying,
4Take the sum of the people, from twenty years old and upward; as the LORD commanded Moses and the children of Israel, which went forth out of the land of Egypt.
5Reuben, the eldest son of Israel: the children of Reuben; Hanoch, of whom cometh the family of the Hanochites: of Pallu, the family of the Palluites:
6Of Hezron, the family of the Hezronites: of Carmi, the family of the Carmites.
7These are the families of the Reubenites: and they that were numbered of them were forty and three thousand and seven hundred and thirty.
8And the sons of Pallu; Eliab.
9And the sons of Eliab; Nemuel, and Dathan, and Abiram. This is that Dathan and Abiram, which were famous in the congregation, who strove against Moses and against Aaron in the company of Korah, when they strove against the LORD:
10And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up together with Korah, when that company died, what time the fire devoured two hundred and fifty men: and they became a sign.
11Notwithstanding the children of Korah died not.

46And the name of the daughter of Asher was Sarah.
47These are the families of the sons of Asher according to those that were numbered of them; who were fifty and three thousand and four hundred.
48Of the sons of Naphtali after their families: of Jahzeel, the family of the Jahzeelites: of Guni, the family of the Gunites:
49Of Jezer, the family of the Jezerites: of Shillem, the family of the Shillemites.
50These are the families of Naphtali according to their families: and they that were numbered of them were forty and five thousand and four hundred.
51These were the numbered of the children of Israel, six hundred thousand and a thousand seven hundred and thirty.
52And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
53Unto these the land shall be divided for an inheritance according to the number of names.
54To many thou shalt give the more inheritance, and to few thou shalt give the less inheritance: to every one shall his inheritance be given according to those that were numbered of him.
55Notwithstanding the land shall be divided by lot: according to the names of the tribes of their fathers they shall inherit.
56According to the lot shall the possession thereof be divided between many and few.
57And these are they that were numbered of the Levites after their families: of Gershon, the family of the Gershonites: of Kohath, the family of the Kohathites: of Merari, the family of the Merarites.
58These are the families of the Levites: the family of the Libnites, the family of the Hebronites, the family of the Mahlites, the family of the Mushites, the family of the Korathites. And Kohath begat Amram.
59And the name of Amram’s wife was Jochebed, the daughter of Levi, whom her mother bare to Levi in Egypt: and she bare unto Amram Aaron and Moses, and Miriam their sister.
60And unto Aaron was born Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
61And Nadab and Abihu died, when they offered strange fire before the LORD.
62And those that were numbered of them were twenty and three thousand, all males from a month old and upward: for they were not numbered among the children of Israel, because there was no inheritance given them among the children of Israel.
63These are they that were numbered by Moses and Eleazar the priest, who numbered the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho.
64But among these there was not a man of them whom Moses and Aaron the priest numbered, when they numbered the children of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai.
65For the LORD had said of them, They shall surely die in the wilderness. And there was not left a man of them, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.

1After the plague, the LORD spoke to Moses and to Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, saying,
2“Take a census of all the congregation of the children of Israel, from twenty years old and upward, by their fathers’ houses, all who are able to go out to war in Israel.”
3Moses and Eleazar the priest spoke with them in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, saying,
4“Take a census, from twenty years old and upward, as the LORD commanded Moses and the children of Israel.” These are those who came out of the land of Egypt.
5Reuben, the firstborn of Israel; the sons of Reuben: of Hanoch, the family of the Hanochites; of Pallu, the family of the Palluites;
6of Hezron, the family of the Hezronites; of Carmi, the family of the Carmites.
7These are the families of the Reubenites; and those who were counted of them were forty-three thousand seven hundred thirty.
8The son of Pallu: Eliab.
9The sons of Eliab: Nemuel, Dathan, and Abiram. These are that Dathan and Abiram who were called by the congregation, who rebelled against Moses and against Aaron in the company of Korah when they rebelled against the LORD;

23The sons of Issachar after their families: of Tola, the family of the Tolaites; of Puvah, the family of the Punites;
24of Jashub, the family of the Jashubites; of Shimron, the family of the Shimronites.
25These are the families of Issachar according to those who were counted of them, sixty-four thousand three hundred.
26The sons of Zebulun after their families: of Sered, the family of the Seredites; of Elon, the family of the Elonites; of Jahleel, the family of the Jahleelites.
27These are the families of the Zebulunites according to those who were counted of them, sixty thousand five hundred.
28The sons of Joseph after their families: Manasseh and Ephraim.
29The sons of Manasseh: of Machir, the family of the Machirites; and Machir became the father of Gilead; of Gilead, the family of the Gileadites.

37These are the families of the sons of Ephraim according to those who were counted of them, thirty-two thousand five hundred. These are the sons of Joseph after their families.
38The sons of Benjamin after their families: of Bela, the family of the Belaites; of Ashbel, the family of the Ashbelites; of Ahiram, the family of the Ahiramites;
39of Shephupham, the family of the Shuphamites; of Hupham, the family of the Huphamites.
40The sons of Bela were Ard and Naaman: the family of the Ardites; and of Naaman, the family of the Naamites.
41These are the sons of Benjamin after their families; and those who were counted of them were forty-five thousand six hundred.
42These are the sons of Dan after their families: of Shuham, the family of the Shuhamites. These are the families of Dan after their families.
43All the families of the Shuhamites, according to those who were counted of them, were sixty-four thousand four hundred.
44The sons of Asher after their families: of Imnah, the family of the Imnites; of Ishvi, the family of the Ishvites; of Beriah, the family of the Berites.
45Of the sons of Beriah: of Heber, the family of the Heberites; of Malchiel, the family of the Malchielites.
46The name of the daughter of Asher was Serah.
47These are the families of the sons of Asher according to those who were counted of them, fifty-three thousand four hundred.
48The sons of Naphtali after their families: of Jahzeel, the family of the Jahzeelites; of Guni, the family of the Gunites;
49of Jezer, the family of the Jezerites; of Shillem, the family of the Shillemites.
50These are the families of Naphtali according to their families; and those who were counted of them were forty-five thousand four hundred.
51These are those who were counted of the children of Israel, six hundred one thousand seven hundred thirty.
52The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
53“To these the land shall be divided for an inheritance according to the number of names.
54To the more you shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer you shall give the less inheritance. To everyone according to those who were counted of him shall his inheritance be given.
55Notwithstanding, the land shall be divided by lot. According to the names of the tribes of their fathers they shall inherit.
56According to the lot shall their inheritance be divided between the more and the fewer.”
57These are those who were counted of the Levites after their families: of Gershon, the family of the Gershonites; of Kohath, the family of the Kohathites; of Merari, the family of the Merarites.
58These are the families of Levi: the family of the Libnites, the family of the Hebronites, the family of the Mahlites, the family of the Mushites, and the family of the Korahites. Kohath became the father of Amram.
59The name of Amram’s wife was Jochebed, the daughter of Levi, who was born to Levi in Egypt. She bore to Amram Aaron and Moses, and Miriam their sister.
60To Aaron were born Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.
61Nadab and Abihu died when they offered strange fire before the LORD.
62Those who were counted of them were twenty-three thousand, every male from a month old and upward; for they were not counted among the children of Israel, because there was no inheritance given them among the children of Israel.
63These are those who were counted by Moses and Eleazar the priest, who counted the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho.
64But among these there was not a man of them who were counted by Moses and Aaron the priest, who counted the children of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai.
65For the LORD had said of them, “They shall surely die in the wilderness.” There was not a man left of them, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.
