Les fils de Ruben et les fils de Gad avaient des troupeaux en nombre considérable. Voyant que le pays de Jazer et le pays de Galaad étaient un lieu propre pour les troupeaux,

Y LOS hijos de Rubén y los hijos de Gad tenían una muy grande muchedumbre de ganado; los cuales viendo la tierra de Jazer y de Galaad, parecióles el país lugar de ganado.

Now the children of Reuben and the children of Gad had a very great multitude of cattle: and when they saw the land of Jazer, and the land of Gilead, that, behold, the place was a place for cattle;

Now the children of Reuben and the children of Gad had a very great multitude of livestock. They saw the land of Jazer, and the land of Gilead. Behold, the place was a place for livestock.

les fils de Gad et les fils de Ruben vinrent auprès de Moïse, d'Eléazar, le prêtre, et des princes de l'assemblée, et ils leur dirent :

Y vinieron los hijos de Gad y los hijos de Rubén, y hablaron á Moisés, y á Eleazar el sacerdote, y á los príncipes de la congregación, diciendo:

The children of Gad and the children of Reuben came and spake unto Moses, and to Eleazar the priest, and unto the princes of the congregation, saying,

« Ataroth, Dibon, Jazer, Nemra, Hésebon, Eléalé, Saban, Nébo et Béon,

Ataroth, y Dibón, y Jazer, y Nimra, y Hesbón, y Eleale, y Sabán, y Nebo, y Beón,

Ataroth, and Dibon, and Jazer, and Nimrah, and Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Shebam, and Nebo, and Beon,

“Ataroth, Dibon, Jazer, Nimrah, Heshbon, Elealeh, Sebam, Nebo, and Beon,

ce pays que Yahweh a frappé devant l'assemblée d'Israël, est un lieu propre pour les troupeaux, et tes serviteurs ont des troupeaux ».

La tierra que Jehová hirió delante de la congregación de Israel, es tierra de ganado, y tus siervos tienen ganado.

Even the country which the LORD smote before the congregation of Israel, is a land for cattle, and thy servants have cattle:

the land which the LORD struck before the congregation of Israel, is a land for livestock; and your servants have livestock.”

Ils ajoutèrent : « Si nous avons trouvé grâce à tes yeux, que ce pays soit donné en possession à tes serviteurs, et ne nous fais point passer le Jourdain. »

Por tanto, dijeron, si hallamos gracia en tus ojos, dése esta tierra á tus siervos en heredad, y no nos hagas pasar el Jordán.

Wherefore, said they, if we have found grace in thy sight, let this land be given unto thy servants for a possession, and bring us not over Jordan.

They said, “If we have found favor in your sight, let this land be given to your servants for a possession. Don’t bring us over the Jordan.”

Moïse répondit aux fils de Gad et aux fils de Ruben : « Vos frères iront-ils à la guerre, et vous, resterez-vous ici ?

Y respondió Moisés á los hijos de Gad y á los hijos de Rubén: ¿Vendrán vuestros hermanos á la guerra, y vosotros os quedaréis aquí?

And Moses said unto the children of Gad and to the children of Reuben, Shall your brethren go to war, and shall ye sit here?

Pourquoi découragez-vous les enfants d'Israël de passer dans le pays que Yahweh leur donne ?

¿Y por qué prevenís el ánimo de los hijos de Israel, para que no pasen á la tierra que les ha dado Jehová?

And wherefore discourage ye the heart of the children of Israel from going over into the land which the LORD hath given them?

Why do you discourage the heart of the children of Israel from going over into the land which the LORD has given them?

C'est ainsi qu'ont fait vos pères, quand je les envoyai de Cadès-Barné explorer le pays.

Así hicieron vuestros padres, cuando los envié desde Cades-barnea para que viesen la tierra.

Thus did your fathers, when I sent them from Kadesh-barnea to see the land.

Ils montèrent jusqu'à la vallée d'Escol et virent le pays, et ils découragèrent les enfants d'Israël d'entrer dans le pays que Yahweh leur donnait.

Que subieron hasta la arroyada de Escol, y después que vieron la tierra, preocuparon el ánimo de los hijos de Israel, para que no viniesen á la tierra que Jehová les había dado.

For when they went up unto the valley of Eshcol, and saw the land, they discouraged the heart of the children of Israel, that they should not go into the land which the LORD had given them.

Et la colère de Yahweh s'enflamma ce jour-là, et il jura en disant :

Ces hommes qui sont montés de l'Egypte, depuis l'âge de vingt ans et au-dessus, ne verront point le pays que j'ai promis par serment à Abraham, à Isaac et à Jacob, car ils ne m'ont pas fidèlement suivi,

Que no verán los varones que subieron de Egipto de veinte años arriba, la tierra por la cual juré á Abraham, Isaac, y Jacob, por cuanto no fueron perfectos en pos de mí;

Surely none of the men that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me:

‘Surely none of the men who came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me,

excepté Caleb, fils de Jéphoné, le Cénézéen, et Josué, fils de Nun, qui ont suivi fidèlement Yahweh.

Excepto Caleb, hijo de Jephone Cenezeo, y Josué hijo de Nun, que fueron perfectos en pos de Jehová.

Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite, and Joshua the son of Nun: for they have wholly followed the LORD.

Et la colère de Yahweh s'enflamma contre Israël, et il les fit errer dans le désert pendant quarante années, jusqu'à ce que fût anéantie toute la génération qui avait fait le mal aux yeux de Yahweh.

Y el furor de Jehová se encendió en Israel, é hízolos andar errantes cuarenta años por el desierto, hasta que fué acabada toda aquella generación, que había hecho mal delante de Jehová.

And the LORD’s anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of the LORD, was consumed.

Et voici que vous prenez la place de vos pères, comme des rejetons de pécheurs, pour accroître encore l'ardeur de la colère de Yahweh contre Israël.

Y he aquí vosotros habéis sucedido en lugar de vuestros padres, prole de hombres pecadores, para añadir aún á la ira de Jehová contra Israel.

And, behold, ye are risen up in your fathers’ stead, an increase of sinful men, to augment yet the fierce anger of the LORD toward Israel.

“Behold, you have risen up in your fathers’ place, an increase of sinful men, to increase the fierce anger of the LORD toward Israel.

Car si vous refusez de le suivre, il continuera de laisser Israël au désert, et vous causerez la ruine de tout ce peuple. »

Si os volviereis de en pos de él, él volverá otra vez á dejaros en el desierto, y destruiréis á todo este pueblo.

For if ye turn away from after him, he will yet again leave them in the wilderness; and ye shall destroy all this people.

Ils s'approchèrent de Moïse, et ils dirent : « Nous construirons ici des parcs pour nos troupeaux et des villes pour nos petits enfants ;

Entonces ellos se llegaron á él y dijeron: Edificaremos aquí majadas para nuestro ganado, y ciudades para nuestros niños;

And they came near unto him, and said, We will build sheepfolds here for our cattle, and cities for our little ones:

They came near to him, and said, “We will build sheepfolds here for our livestock, and cities for our little ones;

mais nous nous armerons sans tarder pour marcher devant les enfants d'Israël, jusqu'à ce que nous les ayons introduits dans le lieu qu'ils doivent occuper, et nos enfants demeureront dans les villes fortes, à cause des habitants du pays.

Y nosotros nos armaremos, é iremos con diligencia delante de los hijos de Israel, hasta que los metamos en su lugar: y nuestros niños quedarán en ciudades fuertes á causa de los moradores del país.

But we ourselves will go ready armed before the children of Israel, until we have brought them unto their place: and our little ones shall dwell in the fenced cities because of the inhabitants of the land.

Nous ne reviendrons point dans nos maisons, avant que les enfants d'Israël aient pris possession chacun de son héritage ;

No volveremos á nuestras casas hasta que los hijos de Israel posean cada uno su heredad.

We will not return unto our houses, until the children of Israel have inherited every man his inheritance.

car nous ne posséderons rien avec eux de l'autre côté du Jourdain, ni plus loin, puisque notre héritage nous est venu de ce côté du Jourdain, à l'orient. »

Porque no tomaremos heredad con ellos al otro lado del Jordán ni adelante, por cuanto tendremos ya nuestra heredad de estotra parte del Jordán al oriente.

For we will not inherit with them on yonder side Jordan, or forward; because our inheritance is fallen to us on this side Jordan eastward.

For we will not inherit with them on the other side of the Jordan and beyond, because our inheritance has come to us on this side of the Jordan eastward.”

Moïse leur dit : « Si vous tenez cette conduite, si vous vous armez pour combattre devant Yahweh ;

Entonces les respondió Moisés: Si lo hiciereis así, si os apercibiereis para ir delante de Jehová á la guerra,

And Moses said unto them, If ye will do this thing, if ye will go armed before the LORD to war,

Moses said to them: “If you will do this thing, if you will arm yourselves to go before the LORD to the war,

si tous les hommes armés d'entre vous passent le Jourdain devant Yahweh, jusqu'à ce qu'il ait chassé ses ennemis de devant sa face,

Y pasareis todos vosotros armados el Jordán delante de Jehová, hasta que haya echado á sus enemigos de delante de sí,

And will go all of you armed over Jordan before the LORD, until he hath driven out his enemies from before him,

and every one of your armed men will pass over the Jordan before the LORD until he has driven out his enemies from before him,

et que vous ne reveniez qu'après que le pays aura été soumis devant Yahweh, vous serez sans reproche devant Yahweh et devant Israël, et cette contrée-ci sera votre propriété devant Yahweh.

Y sea el país sojuzgado delante de Jehová; luego volveréis, y seréis libres de culpa para con Jehová, y para con Israel; y esta tierra será vuestra en heredad delante de Jehová.

And the land be subdued before the LORD: then afterward ye shall return, and be guiltless before the LORD, and before Israel; and this land shall be your possession before the LORD.

Mais si vous n'agissez pas ainsi, voici, vous péchez contre Yahweh ; et sachez que votre péché vous atteindra.

Mas si así no lo hiciereis, he aquí habréis pecado á Jehová; y sabed que os alcanzará vuestro pecado.

But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out.

Construisez donc des villes pour vos enfants et des parcs pour vos troupeaux, et exécutez la parole qui est sortie de votre bouche. »

Edificaos ciudades para vuestros niños, y majadas para vuestras ovejas, y haced lo que ha salido de vuestra boca.

Build you cities for your little ones, and folds for your sheep; and do that which hath proceeded out of your mouth.

Les fils de Gad et les fils de Ruben parlèrent à Moïse en disant : « Tes serviteurs feront ce que mon seigneur ordonne.

Y hablaron los hijos de Gad y los hijos de Rubén á Moisés, diciendo: Tus siervos harán como mi señor ha mandado.

And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben spake unto Moses, saying, Thy servants will do as my lord commandeth.

The children of Gad and the children of Reuben spoke to Moses, saying, “Your servants will do as my lord commands.

Nos enfants, nos femmes, nos troupeaux et tout notre bétail resteront ici, dans les villes de Galaad ;

Nuestros niños, nuestras mujeres, nuestros ganados, y todas nuestras bestias, estarán ahí en las ciudades de Galaad;

Our little ones, our wives, our flocks, and all our cattle, shall be there in the cities of Gilead:

Our little ones, our wives, our flocks, and all our livestock shall be there in the cities of Gilead;

et tes serviteurs, tout homme armé pour combattre, passeront devant Yahweh pour combattre, comme le dit mon seigneur. »

Y tus siervos, armados todos de guerra, pasarán delante de Jehová á la guerra, de la manera que mi señor dice.

But thy servants will pass over, every man armed for war, before the LORD to battle, as my lord saith.

Alors Moïse donna des ordres à leur sujet à Eléazar, le prêtre, à Josué, fils de Nun, et aux chefs de famille des tribus des enfants d'Israël ;

Entonces los encomendó Moisés á Eleazar el sacerdote, y á Josué hijo de Nun, y á los príncipes de los padres de las tribus de los hijos de Israel.

So concerning them Moses commanded Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the chief fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel:

So Moses commanded concerning them to Eleazar the priest, and to Joshua the son of Nun, and to the heads of the fathers’ households of the tribes of the children of Israel.

il leur dit : « Si les fils de Gad et les fils de Ruben passent avec vous le Jourdain, tous les hommes armés pour combattre devant Yahweh, et que le pays sois soumis devant vous, vous leur donnerez en possession la conquête de Galaad.

Y díjoles Moisés: Si los hijos de Gad y los hijos de Rubén, pasaren con vosotros el Jordán, armados todos de guerra delante de Jehová, luego que el país fuere sojuzgado delante de vosotros, les daréis la tierra de Galaad en posesión:

And Moses said unto them, If the children of Gad and the children of Reuben will pass with you over Jordan, every man armed to battle, before the LORD, and the land shall be subdued before you; then ye shall give them the land of Gilead for a possession:

Moses said to them, “If the children of Gad and the children of Reuben will pass with you over the Jordan, every man who is armed to battle before the LORD, and the land is subdued before you, then you shall give them the land of Gilead for a possession;

Mais s'ils ne passent point en armes avec vous, ils seront établis au milieu de vous dans le pays de Chanaan. »

Mas si no pasaren armados con vosotros, entonces tendrán posesión entre vosotros en la tierra de Canaán.

But if they will not pass over with you armed, they shall have possessions among you in the land of Canaan.

Les fils de Gad et les fils de Ruben répondirent en disant : « Ce que Yahweh a dit à tes serviteurs, nous le ferons.

Y los hijos de Gad y los hijos de Rubén respondieron, diciendo: Haremos lo que Jehová ha dicho á tus siervos.

And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben answered, saying, As the LORD hath said unto thy servants, so will we do.

Nous passerons en armes devant Yahweh au pays de Chanaan, et la possession de notre héritage nous demeurera de ce côté-ci du Jourdain. »

Nosotros pasaremos armados delante de Jehová á la tierra de Canaán, y la posesión de nuestra heredad será de esta parte del Jordán.

We will pass over armed before the LORD into the land of Canaan, that the possession of our inheritance on this side Jordan may be ours.

We will pass over armed before the LORD into the land of Canaan, and the possession of our inheritance shall remain with us beyond the Jordan.”

Moïse donna aux fils de Gad et aux fils de Ruben, et à la moitié de la tribu de Manassé, fils de Joseph, le royaume de Séhon, roi des Amorrhéens, et le royaume d'Og, roi de Basan, le pays avec ses villes et leurs territoires, les villes du pays d'alentour.

Así les dió Moisés á los hijos de Gad y á los hijos de Rubén, y á la media tribu de Manasés hijo de José, el reino de Sehón rey Amorrheo, y el reino de Og rey de Basán, la tierra con sus ciudades y términos, las ciudades del país alrededor.

And Moses gave unto them, even to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and unto half the tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land, with the cities thereof in the coasts, even the cities of the country round about.

Moses gave to them, even to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and to the half-tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan; the land, according to its cities and borders, even the cities of the surrounding land.

Les fils de Gad bâtirent Dibon, Ataroth, Aroër,

Bethnemra et Betharan, villes fortes, et ils firent des parcs pour le troupeau.

Y á Beth-nimra, y á Betharán: ciudades fuertes, y también majadas para ovejas.

And Beth-nimrah, and Beth-haran, fenced cities: and folds for sheep.

Les fils de Ruben bâtirent Hésebon, Eléalé, Cariathaïm,

Y los hijos de Rubén edificaron á Hesbón, y á Eleale, y á Kiriathaim,

And the children of Reuben built Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Kirjathaim,

Nabo et Baalméon, dont les noms furent changés, et Sabama, et ils donnèrent des noms aux villes qu'ils bâtirent.

Y á Nebo, y á Baal-meón, (mudados los nombres), y á Sibma: y pusieron nombres á las ciudades que edificaron.

And Nebo, and Baal-meon, (their names being changed,) and Shibmah: and gave other names unto the cities which they builded.

Les fils de Machir, fils de Manassé, allèrent contre Galaad et, s'en étant emparés, ils chassèrent les Amorrhéens qui y étaient.

Y los hijos de Machîr hijo de Manasés fueron á Galaad, y tomáronla, y echaron al Amorrheo que estaba en ella.

And the children of Machir the son of Manasseh went to Gilead, and took it, and dispossessed the Amorite which was in it.
