Or, les fils de Ruben et les fils de Gad étaient fort riches en bétail, et ils virent que la contrée de Jazer et la contrée de Galaad étaient excellentes pour les troupeaux.

Y LOS hijos de Rubén y los hijos de Gad tenían una muy grande muchedumbre de ganado; los cuales viendo la tierra de Jazer y de Galaad, parecióles el país lugar de ganado.

Now the children of Reuben and the children of Gad had a very great multitude of cattle: and when they saw the land of Jazer, and the land of Gilead, that, behold, the place was a place for cattle;

Et les fils de Ruben avec les fils de Gad s'étant approchés, parlèrent à Moïse, à Eléazar le prêtre, et à tous les princes du peuple, et ils leur dirent :

Y vinieron los hijos de Gad y los hijos de Rubén, y hablaron á Moisés, y á Eleazar el sacerdote, y á los príncipes de la congregación, diciendo:

The children of Gad and the children of Reuben came and spake unto Moses, and to Eleazar the priest, and unto the princes of the congregation, saying,

Et la terre que le Seigneur vient de donner aux fils d'Israël, sont une contrée nourricière de bestiaux, et tes serviteurs ont des bestiaux ;

La tierra que Jehová hirió delante de la congregación de Israel, es tierra de ganado, y tus siervos tienen ganado.

Even the country which the LORD smote before the congregation of Israel, is a land for cattle, and thy servants have cattle:

the land which the LORD struck before the congregation of Israel, is a land for livestock; and your servants have livestock.”

Ils ajoutèrent : Si nous avons trouvé grâce devant toi, que cette terre soit donnée pour héritage, à tes serviteurs, et ne nous conduis pas au delà du Jourdain.

Por tanto, dijeron, si hallamos gracia en tus ojos, dése esta tierra á tus siervos en heredad, y no nos hagas pasar el Jordán.

Wherefore, said they, if we have found grace in thy sight, let this land be given unto thy servants for a possession, and bring us not over Jordan.

They said, “If we have found favor in your sight, let this land be given to your servants for a possession. Don’t bring us over the Jordan.”

Moïse répondit aux fils de Ruben et au fils de Gad : Vos frères vont au combat, et vous, resterez-vous ici ?

Y respondió Moisés á los hijos de Gad y á los hijos de Rubén: ¿Vendrán vuestros hermanos á la guerra, y vosotros os quedaréis aquí?

And Moses said unto the children of Gad and to the children of Reuben, Shall your brethren go to war, and shall ye sit here?

Pourquoi détournez-vous les pensées des fils d'Israël qui ne voudront plus entrer dans la terre que le Seigneur leur a donnée ?

¿Y por qué prevenís el ánimo de los hijos de Israel, para que no pasen á la tierra que les ha dado Jehová?

And wherefore discourage ye the heart of the children of Israel from going over into the land which the LORD hath given them?

N'est-ce point ce qu'ont fait vos pères, lorsque, de Cadès-Barné, je les ai envoyés reconnaître ce territoire ?

Así hicieron vuestros padres, cuando los envié desde Cades-barnea para que viesen la tierra.

Thus did your fathers, when I sent them from Kadesh-barnea to see the land.

Ils sont allés jusqu'à la vallée de la Grappe, ils ont reconnu le pays, et ils ont détourne le cœur des fils d'Israël pour les empêcher d'entrer en la terre que le Seigneur leur avait donnée.

Que subieron hasta la arroyada de Escol, y después que vieron la tierra, preocuparon el ánimo de los hijos de Israel, para que no viniesen á la tierra que Jehová les había dado.

For when they went up unto the valley of Eshcol, and saw the land, they discouraged the heart of the children of Israel, that they should not go into the land which the LORD had given them.

Jamais ces hommes qui sont sortis d'Egypte, ceux de vingt ans et au- dessus, discernant le bien et le mal, ne verront la terre que j'ai promise à Abraham, à Isaac et à Jacob ; car ils n'ont point voulu me suivre,

Que no verán los varones que subieron de Egipto de veinte años arriba, la tierra por la cual juré á Abraham, Isaac, y Jacob, por cuanto no fueron perfectos en pos de mí;

Surely none of the men that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me:

‘Surely none of the men who came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me,

Hormis Caleb, fils de Jéphoné, et Josué, fils de Nau qui s'est séparé des autres envoyés, parce que ceux-là n'ont pas hésité à me suivre.

Excepto Caleb, hijo de Jephone Cenezeo, y Josué hijo de Nun, que fueron perfectos en pos de Jehová.

Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite, and Joshua the son of Nun: for they have wholly followed the LORD.

Et le Seigneur s'étant irrité contre les fils d'Israël, les a fait tourner sur eux-mêmes dans le désert, durant quarante années, jusqu'à ce qu'ait péri toute cette génération qui avait fait le mal devant le Seigneur.

Y el furor de Jehová se encendió en Israel, é hízolos andar errantes cuarenta años por el desierto, hasta que fué acabada toda aquella generación, que había hecho mal delante de Jehová.

And the LORD’s anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of the LORD, was consumed.

Et vous, race d'hommes coupables, voilà que vous vous soulevez comme vos pères, pour augmenter encore le courroux du Seigneur contre Israël !

Y he aquí vosotros habéis sucedido en lugar de vuestros padres, prole de hombres pecadores, para añadir aún á la ira de Jehová contra Israel.

And, behold, ye are risen up in your fathers’ stead, an increase of sinful men, to augment yet the fierce anger of the LORD toward Israel.

“Behold, you have risen up in your fathers’ place, an increase of sinful men, to increase the fierce anger of the LORD toward Israel.

Vous voulez vous séparer de lui, et encore une fois l'abandonner dans le désert ; mais vous pécherez contre toute cette synagogue !

Si os volviereis de en pos de él, él volverá otra vez á dejaros en el desierto, y destruiréis á todo este pueblo.

For if ye turn away from after him, he will yet again leave them in the wilderness; and ye shall destroy all this people.

Et ils s'approchèrent de Moïse, et ils dirent : Nous bâtirons ici des étables pour nos brebis et nos grands troupeaux ; nous bâtirons des villes pour nos familles.

Entonces ellos se llegaron á él y dijeron: Edificaremos aquí majadas para nuestro ganado, y ciudades para nuestros niños;

And they came near unto him, and said, We will build sheepfolds here for our cattle, and cities for our little ones:

They came near to him, and said, “We will build sheepfolds here for our livestock, and cities for our little ones;

Quant à nous, armés de pied en cap, nous marcherons au premier rang des fils d'Israël, jusqu'à ce que nous les ayons conduits où ils doivent résider, pendant que nos familles demeureront dans les villes que nous aurons fortifiées contre les habitants de cette terre.

Y nosotros nos armaremos, é iremos con diligencia delante de los hijos de Israel, hasta que los metamos en su lugar: y nuestros niños quedarán en ciudades fuertes á causa de los moradores del país.

But we ourselves will go ready armed before the children of Israel, until we have brought them unto their place: and our little ones shall dwell in the fenced cities because of the inhabitants of the land.

Nous ne retournerons pas les rejoindre, que les fils d'Israël ne se soient partagés leurs héritages respectifs.

No volveremos á nuestras casas hasta que los hijos de Israel posean cada uno su heredad.

We will not return unto our houses, until the children of Israel have inherited every man his inheritance.

Et nous n'aurons point de part sur l'autre rive du Jourdain, parce que nous prenons pour notre héritage la rive orientale du fleuve.

Porque no tomaremos heredad con ellos al otro lado del Jordán ni adelante, por cuanto tendremos ya nuestra heredad de estotra parte del Jordán al oriente.

For we will not inherit with them on yonder side Jordan, or forward; because our inheritance is fallen to us on this side Jordan eastward.

For we will not inherit with them on the other side of the Jordan and beyond, because our inheritance has come to us on this side of the Jordan eastward.”

Moïse leur répondit : Si vous agissez selon cette promesse, si devant le Seigneur vous vous armez pour la guerre,

Entonces les respondió Moisés: Si lo hiciereis así, si os apercibiereis para ir delante de Jehová á la guerra,

And Moses said unto them, If ye will do this thing, if ye will go armed before the LORD to war,

Moses said to them: “If you will do this thing, if you will arm yourselves to go before the LORD to the war,

Si les combattants de vos tribus marchent au delà du Jourdain, devant le Seigneur, jusqu'à ce que ses ennemis soient broyés en sa présence,

Y pasareis todos vosotros armados el Jordán delante de Jehová, hasta que haya echado á sus enemigos de delante de sí,

And will go all of you armed over Jordan before the LORD, until he hath driven out his enemies from before him,

and every one of your armed men will pass over the Jordan before the LORD until he has driven out his enemies from before him,

Et qu'en sa présence la terre soit conquise, vous pourrez partir, et vous serez innocents aux yeux du Seigneur et aux yeux d'Israël ; et la terre que vous demandez vous appartiendra devant le Seigneur.

Y sea el país sojuzgado delante de Jehová; luego volveréis, y seréis libres de culpa para con Jehová, y para con Israel; y esta tierra será vuestra en heredad delante de Jehová.

And the land be subdued before the LORD: then afterward ye shall return, and be guiltless before the LORD, and before Israel; and this land shall be your possession before the LORD.

Mais si vous faites autrement, vous serez coupables devant le Seigneur ; et vous connaîtrez votre péché quand des plaies vous seront infligées.

Mas si así no lo hiciereis, he aquí habréis pecado á Jehová; y sabed que os alcanzará vuestro pecado.

But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out.

Bâtissez donc des villes pour vos familles, et des étables pour vos troupeaux ; exécutez tout ce qui est sorti de votre bouche.

Edificaos ciudades para vuestros niños, y majadas para vuestras ovejas, y haced lo que ha salido de vuestra boca.

Build you cities for your little ones, and folds for your sheep; and do that which hath proceeded out of your mouth.

Les fils de Ruben et les fils de Gad dirent alors à Moïse : Tes serviteurs feront ce que notre maître nous ordonne.

Y hablaron los hijos de Gad y los hijos de Rubén á Moisés, diciendo: Tus siervos harán como mi señor ha mandado.

And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben spake unto Moses, saying, Thy servants will do as my lord commandeth.

The children of Gad and the children of Reuben spoke to Moses, saying, “Your servants will do as my lord commands.

Nos serviteurs, et nos femmes, et tout notre bétail, demeureront dans les villes de Galaad.

Nuestros niños, nuestras mujeres, nuestros ganados, y todas nuestras bestias, estarán ahí en las ciudades de Galaad;

Our little ones, our wives, our flocks, and all our cattle, shall be there in the cities of Gilead:

Et tes serviteurs marcheront en ordre et armés, en présence du Seigneur, pour combattre, comme le Seigneur l'a dit.

Y tus siervos, armados todos de guerra, pasarán delante de Jehová á la guerra, de la manera que mi señor dice.

But thy servants will pass over, every man armed for war, before the LORD to battle, as my lord saith.

Moïse réunit auprès d'eux Eléazar le prêtre, et Josué, fils de Nau, et les princes des tribus d'Israël.

Entonces los encomendó Moisés á Eleazar el sacerdote, y á Josué hijo de Nun, y á los príncipes de los padres de las tribus de los hijos de Israel.

So concerning them Moses commanded Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the chief fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel:

So Moses commanded concerning them to Eleazar the priest, and to Joshua the son of Nun, and to the heads of the fathers’ households of the tribes of the children of Israel.

Et Moïse dit à ces derniers : Si les fils de Ruben et les fils de Gad passent avec vous le Jourdain, tous armés pour la guerre, devant le Seigneur ; si vous soumettez la terre au delà du fleuve, vous leur donnerez en héritage la terre de Galaad.

Y díjoles Moisés: Si los hijos de Gad y los hijos de Rubén, pasaren con vosotros el Jordán, armados todos de guerra delante de Jehová, luego que el país fuere sojuzgado delante de vosotros, les daréis la tierra de Galaad en posesión:

And Moses said unto them, If the children of Gad and the children of Reuben will pass with you over Jordan, every man armed to battle, before the LORD, and the land shall be subdued before you; then ye shall give them the land of Gilead for a possession:

Moses said to them, “If the children of Gad and the children of Reuben will pass with you over the Jordan, every man who is armed to battle before the LORD, and the land is subdued before you, then you shall give them the land of Gilead for a possession;

Mais, s'ils ne marchent pas avec vous, armés pour la guerre, devant le Seigneur, faites passer avant vous, dans la terre de Chanaan, leurs serviteurs, leurs femmes et leur bétail, et donnez-leur une part de la terre de Chanaan.

Mas si no pasaren armados con vosotros, entonces tendrán posesión entre vosotros en la tierra de Canaán.

But if they will not pass over with you armed, they shall have possessions among you in the land of Canaan.

Les fils de Ruben et les fils de Gad répondirent : Ce que le maître dit à ses serviteurs, nous le ferons ;

And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben answered, saying, As the LORD hath said unto thy servants, so will we do.

Nous entrerons en armes, devant le Seigneur, dans la terre de Chanaan, et vous nous donnerez notre part, sur la rive gauche du Jourdain.

Nosotros pasaremos armados delante de Jehová á la tierra de Canaán, y la posesión de nuestra heredad será de esta parte del Jordán.

We will pass over armed before the LORD into the land of Canaan, that the possession of our inheritance on this side Jordan may be ours.

We will pass over armed before the LORD into the land of Canaan, and the possession of our inheritance shall remain with us beyond the Jordan.”

Moïse, donna donc aux fils de Gad, et aux fils de Ruben, et à la moitié de la tribu de Manassé, le royaume de Séhon, roi des Amorrhéens, et le royaume d'Og, roi de Basan, terre et villes, villes et banlieues.

Así les dió Moisés á los hijos de Gad y á los hijos de Rubén, y á la media tribu de Manasés hijo de José, el reino de Sehón rey Amorrheo, y el reino de Og rey de Basán, la tierra con sus ciudades y términos, las ciudades del país alrededor.

And Moses gave unto them, even to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and unto half the tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land, with the cities thereof in the coasts, even the cities of the country round about.

Moses gave to them, even to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and to the half-tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan; the land, according to its cities and borders, even the cities of the surrounding land.

Ils bâtirent aussi Namram et Bétharam, villes fortes, avec des étables pour les troupeaux.

Y á Beth-nimra, y á Betharán: ciudades fuertes, y también majadas para ovejas.

And Beth-nimrah, and Beth-haran, fenced cities: and folds for sheep.

Les fils de Ruben bâtirent Esebon, Eléalé, Cariathim,

Y los hijos de Rubén edificaron á Hesbón, y á Eleale, y á Kiriathaim,

Et Béelméon, villes entourées de murs, ainsi que Sabana ; et ils donnèrent leurs propres noms aux villes qu'ils élevèrent.

Y á Nebo, y á Baal-meón, (mudados los nombres), y á Sibma: y pusieron nombres á las ciudades que edificaron.

And Nebo, and Baal-meon, (their names being changed,) and Shibmah: and gave other names unto the cities which they builded.

Et le fils de Machir, fils de Manassé, alla à Galaad ; il la prit, et détruisit l'Amorrhéen qui l'habitait.
