L'Éternel parla à Moïse dans les plaines de Moab, près du Jourdain, vers Jéricho, en disant:

Y HABLÓ Jehová á Moisés en los campos de Moab, junto al Jordán de Jericó, diciendo:

And the LORD spake unto Moses in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho, saying,

The LORD spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, saying,

"Avertis les enfants d'Israël qu'ils doivent donner aux Lévites, sur leur part de possession, des villes pour qu'ils y habitent, outre une banlieue, autour de ces villes, que vous leur donnerez également.

Manda á los hijos de Israel, que den á los Levitas de la posesión de su heredad ciudades en que habiten: también daréis á los Levitas los ejidos de esas ciudades alrededor de ellas.

Command the children of Israel, that they give unto the Levites of the inheritance of their possession cities to dwell in; and ye shall give also unto the Levites suburbs for the cities round about them.

“Command the children of Israel to give to the Levites cities to dwell in out of their inheritance. You shall give pasture lands for the cities around them to the Levites.

Les villes leur serviront pour l'habitation; et les banlieues seront pour leur bétail, pour leurs biens, pour tous les besoins de leur vie.

Y tendrán ellos las ciudades para habitar, y los ejidos de ellas serán para sus animales, y para sus ganados, y para todas sus bestias.

And the cities shall they have to dwell in; and the suburbs of them shall be for their cattle, and for their goods, and for all their beasts.

They shall have the cities to dwell in. Their pasture lands shall be for their livestock, and for their possessions, and for all their animals.

Ces banlieues des villes que vous donnerez aux Lévites comporteront, à partir du mur de chaque ville, un rayon de mille coudées.

Y los ejidos de las ciudades que daréis á los Levitas, serán mil codos alrededor, desde el muro de la ciudad para afuera.

And the suburbs of the cities, which ye shall give unto the Levites, shall reach from the wall of the city and outward a thousand cubits round about.

“The pasture lands of the cities, which you shall give to the Levites, shall be from the wall of the city and outward one thousand cubits around it.

Vous mesurerez, extérieurement à la ville, deux mille coudées du côté de l'orient, deux mille du côté du midi, deux mille du côté de l'occident et deux mille du côté du nord, ayant pour centre la ville: telles seront les banlieues de leurs villes.

Luego mediréis fuera de la ciudad á la parte del oriente dos mil codos, y á la parte del mediodía dos mil codos, y á la parte del occidente dos mil codos, y á la parte del norte dos mil codos, y la ciudad en medio: esto tendrán por los ejidos de las ciudades.

And ye shall measure from without the city on the east side two thousand cubits, and on the south side two thousand cubits, and on the west side two thousand cubits, and on the north side two thousand cubits; and the city shall be in the midst: this shall be to them the suburbs of the cities.

You shall measure outside of the city for the east side two thousand cubits, and for the south side two thousand cubits, and for the west side two thousand cubits, and for the north side two thousand cubits, the city being in the middle. This shall be the pasture lands of their cities.

Ces villes que vous devez donner aux Lévites sont, d'abord, les six villes de refuge, que vous accorderez pour que le meurtrier s'y retire; en outre, vous y ajouterez quarante-deux villes.

Y de las ciudades que daréis á los Levitas, seis ciudades serán de acogimiento, las cuales daréis para que el homicida se acoja allá: y además de éstas daréis cuarenta y dos ciudades.

And among the cities which ye shall give unto the Levites there shall be six cities for refuge, which ye shall appoint for the manslayer, that he may flee thither: and to them ye shall add forty and two cities.

“The cities which you shall give to the Levites, they shall be the six cities of refuge, which you shall give for the man slayer to flee to. Besides them you shall give forty-two cities.

Total des villes que vous donnerez aux Lévites: quarante-huit villes, avec leurs banlieues.

Todas las ciudades que daréis á los Levitas serán cuarenta y ocho ciudades; ellas con sus ejidos.

So all the cities which ye shall give to the Levites shall be forty and eight cities: them shall ye give with their suburbs.

All the cities which you shall give to the Levites shall be forty-eight cities together with their pasture lands.

Pour ces villes que vous devez distraire de la propriété des enfants d'Israël, vous exigerez davantage de la plus grande tribu, à la moindre vous demanderez moins: chacun cédera de son territoire aux Lévites, à proportion de la part qu'il aura obtenue."

Y las ciudades que diereis de la heredad de los hijos de Israel, del que mucho tomaréis mucho, y del que poco tomaréis poco: cada uno dará de sus ciudades á los Levitas según la posesión que heredará.

And the cities which ye shall give shall be of the possession of the children of Israel: from them that have many ye shall give many; but from them that have few ye shall give few: every one shall give of his cities unto the Levites according to his inheritance which he inheriteth.

Concerning the cities which you shall give of the possession of the children of Israel, from the many you shall take many, and from the few you shall take few. Everyone according to his inheritance which he inherits shall give some of his cities to the Levites.”

L'Éternel parla à Moïse en ces termes:

Y habló Jehová á Moisés, diciendo:

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

"Parle aux enfants d'Israël, et dis-leur: Comme vous allez passer le Jourdain pour gagner le pays de Canaan,

Habla á los hijos de Israel, y diles: Cuando hubiereis pasado el Jordán á la tierra de Canaán,

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come over Jordan into the land of Canaan;

“Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, ‘When you pass over the Jordan into the land of Canaan,

vous choisirez des villes propres à vous servir de cités d'asile: là se réfugiera le meurtrier, homicide par imprudence.

Os señalaréis ciudades, ciudades de acogimiento tendréis, donde huya el homicida que hiriere á alguno de muerte por yerro.

Then ye shall appoint you cities to be cities of refuge for you; that the slayer may flee thither, which killeth any person at unawares.

then you shall appoint for yourselves cities to be cities of refuge for you, that the man slayer who kills any person unwittingly may flee there.

Ces villes serviront, chez vous, d'asile contre le vengeur du sang, afin que le meurtrier ne meure point avant d'avoir comparu devant l'assemblée pour être jugé.

Y os serán aquellas ciudades por acogimiento del pariente, y no morirá el homicida hasta que esté á juicio delante de la congregación.

And they shall be unto you cities for refuge from the avenger; that the manslayer die not, until he stand before the congregation in judgment.

The cities shall be for your refuge from the avenger, that the man slayer not die until he stands before the congregation for judgment.

Quant aux villes à donner, vous aurez six villes de refuge.

De las ciudades, pues, que daréis, tendréis seis ciudades de acogimiento.

And of these cities which ye shall give six cities shall ye have for refuge.

The cities which you shall give shall be for you six cities of refuge.

Vous accorderez trois de ces villes en deçà du Jourdain, et les trois autres dans le pays de Canaan; elles seront villes de refuge.

Tres ciudades daréis de esta parte del Jordán, y tres ciudades daréis en la tierra de Canaán; las cuales serán ciudades de acogimiento.

Ye shall give three cities on this side Jordan, and three cities shall ye give in the land of Canaan, which shall be cities of refuge.

You shall give three cities beyond the Jordan, and you shall give three cities in the land of Canaan. They shall be cities of refuge.

Pour les enfants d'Israël comme pour l'étranger et le domicilié parmi eux, ces six villes serviront d'asile, où pourra se réfugier quiconque a tué une personne involontairement.

Estas seis ciudades serán para acogimiento á los hijos de Israel, y al peregrino, y al que morare entre ellos, para que huya allá cualquiera que hiriere de muerte á otro por yerro.

These six cities shall be a refuge, both for the children of Israel, and for the stranger, and for the sojourner among them: that every one that killeth any person unawares may flee thither.

These six cities shall be refuge for the children of Israel, for the stranger, and for the foreigner living among them, that everyone who kills any person unwittingly may flee there.

Que s'il l'a frappée avec un instrument de fer et qu'elle en soit morte, c'est un assassin; l'assassin doit être mis à mort.

Y si con instrumento de hierro lo hiriere y muriere, homicida es; el homicida morirá:

And if he smite him with an instrument of iron, so that he die, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.

“‘But if he struck him with an instrument of iron, so that he died, he is a murderer. The murderer shall surely be put to death.

Si, s'armant d'une pierre qui peut donner la mort, il a porté un coup mortel, c'est un assassin; l'assassin doit être mis à mort.

Y si con piedra de mano, de que pueda morir, lo hiriere, y muriere, homicida es; el homicida morirá.

And if he smite him with throwing a stone, wherewith he may die, and he die, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.

If he struck him with a stone in the hand, by which a man may die, and he died, he is a murderer. The murderer shall surely be put to death.

Pareillement, si, armé d'un objet en bois pouvant donner la mort, il a porté un coup mortel, c'est un assassin; l'assassin doit être mis à mort.

Y si con instrumento de palo de mano, de que pueda morir, lo hiriere, y muriere, homicida es; el homicida morirá.

Or if he smite him with an hand weapon of wood, wherewith he may die, and he die, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.

Or if he struck him with a weapon of wood in the hand, by which a man may die, and he died, he is a murderer. The murderer shall surely be put to death.

C'est le vengeur du sang qui fera mourir l'assassin; s'il le rencontre, qu'il le fasse mourir.

El pariente del muerto, él matará al homicida: cuando lo encontrare, él le matará.

The revenger of blood himself shall slay the murderer: when he meeteth him, he shall slay him.

The avenger of blood shall himself put the murderer to death. When he meets him, he shall put him to death.

Si quelqu'un heurte un autre par haine ou lui lance quelque chose avec préméditation, et qu'il en meure;

Y si por odio lo empujó, ó echó sobre él alguna cosa por asechanzas, y muere;

But if he thrust him of hatred, or hurl at him by laying of wait, that he die;

If he shoved him out of hatred, or hurled something at him while lying in wait, so that he died,

ou si, par inimitié, il lui porte un coup avec la main et qu'il meure, l'homicide doit être mis à mort, c'est un assassin; le vengeur du sang devra le tuer sitôt qu'il le rencontre.

O por enemistad lo hirió con su mano, y murió: el heridor morirá; es homicida; el pariente del muerto matará al homicida, cuando lo encontrare.

Or in enmity smite him with his hand, that he die: he that smote him shall surely be put to death; for he is a murderer: the revenger of blood shall slay the murderer, when he meeteth him.

or in hostility struck him with his hand, so that he died, he who struck him shall surely be put to death. He is a murderer. The avenger of blood shall put the murderer to death when he meets him.

Mais s'il l'a heurté fortuitement, sans hostilité, ou s'il a jeté quelque objet sur lui sans dessein de l'atteindre;

Mas si casualmente lo empujó sin enemistades, ó echó sobre él cualquier instrumento sin asechanzas,

But if he thrust him suddenly without enmity, or have cast upon him any thing without laying of wait,

“‘But if he shoved him suddenly without hostility, or hurled on him anything without lying in wait,

si encore, tenant une pierre qui peut donner la mort, il la fait tomber sur quelqu'un qu'il n'avait pas vu et le fait mourir, sans d'ailleurs être son ennemi ni lui vouloir du mal,

O bien, sin verlo, hizo caer sobre él alguna piedra, de que pudo morir, y muriere, y él no era su enemigo, ni procuraba su mal;

Or with any stone, wherewith a man may die, seeing him not, and cast it upon him, that he die, and was not his enemy, neither sought his harm:

or with any stone, by which a man may die, not seeing him, and cast it on him so that he died, and he was not his enemy and not seeking his harm,

l'assemblée sera juge entre l'homicide et le vengeur du sang, en s'inspirant de ces règles.

Entonces la congregación juzgará entre el heridor y el pariente del muerto conforme á estas leyes:

Then the congregation shall judge between the slayer and the revenger of blood according to these judgments:

then the congregation shall judge between the striker and the avenger of blood according to these ordinances.

Et cette assemblée soustraira le meurtrier à l'action du vengeur du sang, et elle le fera reconduire à la ville de refuge où il s'était retiré; et il y demeurera jusqu'à la mort du grand-pontife, qu'on aura oint de l'huile sacrée.

Y la congregación librará al homicida de mano del pariente del muerto, y la congregación lo hará volver á su ciudad de acogimiento, á la cual se había acogido; y morará en ella hasta que muera el gran sacerdote, el cual fué ungido con el aceite santo.

And the congregation shall deliver the slayer out of the hand of the revenger of blood, and the congregation shall restore him to the city of his refuge, whither he was fled: and he shall abide in it unto the death of the high priest, which was anointed with the holy oil.

The congregation shall deliver the man slayer out of the hand of the avenger of blood, and the congregation shall restore him to his city of refuge, where he had fled. He shall dwell therein until the death of the high priest, who was anointed with the holy oil.

Mais si le meurtrier vient à quitter l'enceinte de la ville de refuge où il s'est retiré,

Y si el homicida saliere fuera del término de su ciudad de refugio, á la cual se acogió,

But if the slayer shall at any time come without the border of the city of his refuge, whither he was fled;

“‘But if the man slayer shall at any time go beyond the border of his city of refuge where he flees,

et que le vengeur du sang, le rencontrant hors des limites de son asile, tue le meurtrier, il ne sera point punissable.

Y el pariente del muerto le hallare fuera del término de la ciudad de su acogida, y el pariente del muerto al homicida matare, no se le culpará por ello:

And the revenger of blood find him without the borders of the city of his refuge, and the revenger of blood kill the slayer; he shall not be guilty of blood:

and the avenger of blood finds him outside of the border of his city of refuge, and the avenger of blood kills the man slayer, he shall not be guilty of blood,

Car le meurtrier doit rester dans son asile jusqu'à la mort du grand-pontife; et après la mort de ce pontife seulement, il pourra retourner au pays de sa possession.

Pues en su ciudad de refugio deberá aquél habitar hasta que muera el gran sacerdote: y después que muriere el gran sacerdote, el homicida volverá á la tierra de su posesión.

Because he should have remained in the city of his refuge until the death of the high priest: but after the death of the high priest the slayer shall return into the land of his possession.

because he should have remained in his city of refuge until the death of the high priest. But after the death of the high priest, the man slayer shall return into the land of his possession.

Ces prescriptions auront pour vous force de loi dans toutes vos générations, dans toutes vos demeures.

Y estas cosas os serán por ordenanza de derecho por vuestras edades, en todas vuestras habitaciones.

So these things shall be for a statute of judgment unto you throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

“‘These things shall be for a statute and ordinance to you throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

Dans tout cas d'homicide, c'est sur une déclaration de témoins qu'on fera mourir l'assassin; mais un témoin unique ne peut, par sa déposition, faire condamner une personne à mort.

Cualquiera que hiriere á alguno, por dicho de testigos, morirá el homicida: mas un solo testigo no hará fe contra alguna persona para que muera.

Whoso killeth any person, the murderer shall be put to death by the mouth of witnesses: but one witness shall not testify against any person to cause him to die.

“‘Whoever kills any person, the murderer shall be slain based on the testimony of witnesses; but one witness shall not testify alone against any person so that he dies.

Vous n'accepterez point de rançon pour la vie d'un meurtrier, s'il est coupable et digne de mort: il faut qu'il meure.

Y no tomaréis precio por la vida del homicida; porque está condenado á muerte: mas indefectiblemente morirá.

Moreover ye shall take no satisfaction for the life of a murderer, which is guilty of death: but he shall be surely put to death.

“‘Moreover you shall take no ransom for the life of a murderer who is guilty of death. He shall surely be put to death.

Vous n'accepterez pas non plus de rançon pour que, dispensé de fuir dans la ville de refuge, on puisse revenir habiter dans le pays avant la mort du pontife.

Ni tampoco tomaréis precio del que huyó á su ciudad de refugio, para que vuelva á vivir en su tierra, hasta que muera el sacerdote.

And ye shall take no satisfaction for him that is fled to the city of his refuge, that he should come again to dwell in the land, until the death of the priest.

“‘You shall take no ransom for him who has fled to his city of refuge, that he may come again to dwell in the land before the death of the priest.

De la sorte, vous ne souillerez point le pays où vous demeurez. Car le sang est une souillure pour la terre; et la terre où le sang a coulé ne peut être lavée de cette souillure que par le sang de celui qui l'a répandu.

Y no contaminaréis la tierra donde estuviereis: porque esta sangre amancillará la tierra: y la tierra no será expiada de la sangre que fué derramada en ella, sino por la sangre del que la derramó.

So ye shall not pollute the land wherein ye are: for blood it defileth the land: and the land cannot be cleansed of the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him that shed it.

“‘So you shall not pollute the land where you live; for blood pollutes the land. No atonement can be made for the land for the blood that is shed in it, but by the blood of him who shed it.

Ne déshonorez point le pays où vous habiterez, dans lequel je résiderai; car moi-même, Éternel, je réside au milieu des enfants d'Israël."

No contaminéis, pues, la tierra donde habitáis, en medio de la cual yo habito; porque yo Jehová habito en medio de los hijos de Israel.

Defile not therefore the land which ye shall inhabit, wherein I dwell: for I the LORD dwell among the children of Israel.

You shall not defile the land which you inhabit, where I dwell; for I, the LORD, dwell among the children of Israel.’”
