"Eu escolhi os levitas do meio do povo de Israel. Eu fiz assim, ao invés de escolher cada primogênito masculino nascido no meio dos israelitas. Os levitas pertencem a Mim.

Todos os primogênitos pertencem a Mim. No dia em que matei todos os primogênitos na terra do Egito, Eu separei todos os primogênitos de Israel para Mim, tanto homens quanto animais. Eles pertencem a Mim. Eu sou Yahweh".

"Conta os descendentes de Levi em cada família, nas casas de seus antepassados. Conta todos os homens que têm um mês de idade até o mais velho".

Number the children of Levi after the house of their fathers, by their families: every male from a month old and upward shalt thou number them.

Moisés os contou, seguindo as direções dadas a ele pelas palavras de Yahweh, como Ele, o Senhor, lhe ordenara.

The appointed duty of the sons of Merari shall be the tabernacle’s boards, its bars, its pillars, its sockets, all its instruments, all its service,

"Separa para Mim os levitas, ao invés de todos os primogênitos do meio do povo de Israel e separa para Mim os animais dos levitas, ao invés dos animais do povo. Os levitas pertencem a Mim. Eu sou Yahweh.
Toma los Levitas en lugar de todos los primogénitos de los hijos de Israel, y los animales de los Levitas en lugar de sus animales; y los Levitas serán míos: Yo Jehová.

Tu usará os siclos do santuário como um padrão de peso. O siclo equivale a vinte geras.
Tomarás cinco siclos por cabeza; conforme al siclo del santuario tomarás: el siclo tiene veinte óbolos:
Thou shalt even take five shekels apiece by the poll, after the shekel of the sanctuary shalt thou take them: (the shekel is twenty gerahs:)
you shall take five shekels apiece for each one; according to the shekel of the sanctuary you shall take them (the shekel is twenty gerahs);
Tu dará o preço da redenção que tu pagastes a Arão e a seus filhos".

Então Moisés coletou o pagamento de redenção do povo, que excedia o número de resgatados pelos levitas.

And Moses took the redemption money of them that were over and above them that were redeemed by the Levites:

Moisés coletou o dinheiro dos primogênitos do povo de Israel. Ele coletou mil trezentos e sessenta e cinco siclos, segundo o siclo do santuário.
