1Entonces el Señor les dijo a Moisés y a Aarón:
2«Haz el censo del grupo de Coat en la tribu de Leví.
3Este censo debe incluir a todos los hombres entre treinta y cincuenta años capaces de trabajar en el santuario.
4Estos serán sus sagrados deberes:
5»Cuando el campamento se traslade, Aarón y sus hijos entrarán primero en el santuario, quitarán el velo y cubrirán el cofre con él.
6Luego cubrirán el velo con pieles de cabra, y taparán las pieles de cabra con un paño azul, y pondrán en los anillos del cofre las varas para transportarla.
7»Luego extenderán un paño azul sobre la mesa donde se exhibe el pan de la Presencia; y pondrán sobre ese paño los platos, cucharas, tazas y el pan.
8Extenderán un paño escarlata sobre todo eso, y por último lo taparán todo con una piel de cabra. Después meterán las varas en los anillos de la mesa, para el transporte.
9»Luego taparán con un manto azul el candelabro, las lamparillas, las despabiladeras, las bandejas y el depósito del aceite.
10Todos estos objetos serán envueltos en una piel de cabra, y el paquete se pondrá en unas barras de madera.
11»A continuación taparán el altar de oro con un paño azul, lo cubrirán con pieles de cabra, y meterán las varas para transportarlo.
12Todos los demás utensilios del santuario irán envueltos en un paño azul, tapado con pieles de cabra, y colocado sobre unas barras de madera.
13»Quitarán las cenizas del altar, y lo cubrirán con un paño púrpura.
14Todos los utensilios del altar se pondrán en este paño: los ceniceros, los garfios, los braseros y los tazones, y se tapará todo con pieles de cabra. Por último se colocarán las varas para su transporte.
15Cuando Aarón y sus hijos hayan terminado de empacar el santuario y todos los utensilios, el clan de Coat vendrá y trasladará todos los paquetes al nuevo lugar del campamento; pero no deben tocar los objetos sagrados, para que no mueran. Este es el trabajo sagrado de los hijos de Coat.
16»Eleazar, el hijo de Aarón, se encargará del aceite para las lámparas, del incienso, del grano para la ofrenda diaria y del aceite de la unción. En otras palabras, la supervisión de todo el santuario y de todo lo que en él hay, será responsabilidad suya».
17También el Señor les dijo a Moisés y a Aarón:
18«¡No permitan que las familias de los hijos de Coat se destruyan!
19Esto es lo que tienen que hacer para que no mueran cuando trasladen las cosas santas: Aarón y sus hijos entrarán con ellos y les indicarán lo que cada uno debe transportar.
20Aparte de esto, nunca deben entrar en el santuario ni por un momento, porque si se atreven a mirar los objetos sagrados, morirán».
21Y el Señor le dijo a Moisés:
22«Haz el censo del clan de Guersón de la tribu de Leví:
23de todos los hombres entre treinta y cincuenta años, aptos para el trabajo sagrado en el santuario.
24Sus funciones serán las siguientes:
25»Transportarán los cortinajes del santuario, el santuario propiamente dicho con sus cubiertas, la cubierta superior de piel de cabra, y la cortina de la entrada del santuario.
26También transportarán las cortinas que tapan la valla del atrio, la cortina de la entrada al atrio que rodea al santuario y al altar. También transportarán el altar, las cuerdas y todos los accesorios. Serán totalmente responsables de estos objetos.
27Aarón o cualquiera de sus hijos pueden encomendar estas tareas a los gersonitas,
28pero estos serán directamente responsables ante Itamar, el hijo de Aarón.
29»Luego haz el censo del clan de Merari de la tribu de Leví,
30incluyendo a todos los hombres entre treinta y cincuenta años, aptos para el trabajo en el santuario.
31Cuando se traslade el santuario, ellos transportarán la estructura del mismo, las barras, las bases,
32la estructura de la valla del atrio con sus bases, estacas y cuerdas, y todo lo necesario para su uso y reparación. Consignarás por sus nombres todos los utensilios que ellos tienen que llevar.
33El clan de Merari también será responsable ante Itamar, el hijo de Aarón».
34Así pues, Moisés, Aarón y los demás jefes hicieron el censo del clan de Coat,
35incluyendo a todos los hombres entre treinta y cincuenta años, aptos para el servicio del santuario,
36y vieron que el número total era de dos mil setecientos cincuenta.
37Todo esto lo hicieron en cumplimiento de las instrucciones que el Señor le dio a Moisés.
38El censo similar del clan de Guersón dio una cifra de dos mil seiscientos treinta.

46Así que Moisés, Aarón y los demás dirigentes de Israel vieron que el total de los levitas entre treinta y cincuenta años, aptos para el servicio en el santuario, y para su transporte, era de ocho mil quinientos ochenta.

1Y HABLÓ Jehová á Moisés y á Aarón, diciendo:
2Toma la cuenta de los hijos de Coath de entre los hijos de Leví, por sus familias, por las casas de sus padres,
3De edad de treinta años arriba hasta cincuenta años, todos los que entran en compañía, para hacer servicio en el tabernáculo del testimonio.
4Este será el oficio de los hijos de Coath en el tabernáculo del testimonio, en el lugar santísimo:
5Cuando se hubiere de mudar el campo, vendrán Aarón y sus hijos, y desarmarán el velo de la tienda, y cubrirán con él el arca del testimonio:
6Y pondrán sobre ella la cubierta de pieles de tejones, y extenderán encima el paño todo de cárdeno, y le pondrán sus varas.
7Y sobre la mesa de la proposición extenderán el paño cárdeno, y pondrán sobre ella las escudillas, y las cucharas, y las copas, y los tazones para libar: y el pan continuo estará sobre ella.
8Y extenderán sobre ella el paño de carmesí colorado, y lo cubrirán con la cubierta de pieles de tejones; y le pondrán sus varas.
9Y tomarán un paño cárdeno, y cubrirán el candelero de la luminaria; y sus candilejas, y sus despabiladeras, y sus platillos, y todos sus vasos del aceite con que se sirve;
10Y lo pondrán con todos sus vasos en una cubierta de pieles de tejones, y lo colocarán sobre unas parihuelas.
11Y sobre el altar de oro extenderán el paño cárdeno, y le cubrirán con la cubierta de pieles de tejones, y le pondrán sus varales.
12Y tomarán todos los vasos del servicio, de que hacen uso en el santuario, y los pondrán en un paño cárdeno, y los cubrirán con una cubierta de pieles de tejones, y los colocarán sobre unas parihuelas.
13Y quitarán la ceniza del altar, y extenderán sobre él un paño de púrpura:
14Y pondrán sobre él todos sus instrumentos de que se sirve: las paletas, los garfios, los braseros, y los tazones, todos los vasos del altar; y extenderán sobre él la cubierta de pieles de tejones, y le pondrán además las varas.
15Y en acabando Aarón y sus hijos de cubrir el santuario y todos los vasos del santuario, cuando el campo se hubiere de mudar, vendrán después de ello los hijos de Coath para conducir: mas no tocarán cosa santa, que morirán. Estas serán las cargas de los hijos de Coath en el tabernáculo del testimonio.
16Empero al cargo de Eleazar, hijo de Aarón el sacerdote, estará el aceite de la luminaria, y el perfume aromático, y el presente continuo, y el aceite de la unción; el cargo de todo el tabernáculo, y de todo lo que está en él, en el santuario, y en sus vasos.
17Y habló Jehová á Moisés y á Aarón, diciendo:
18No cortaréis la tribu de las familias de Coath de entre los Levitas;
19Mas esto haréis con ellos, para que vivan, y no mueran cuando llegaren al lugar santísimo: Aarón y sus hijos vendrán y los pondrán á cada uno en su oficio, y en su cargo.
20No entrarán para ver, cuando cubrieren las cosas santas; que morirán.
21Y habló Jehová á Moisés diciendo:
22Toma también la cuenta de los hijos de Gersón por las casas de sus padres, por sus familias.
23De edad de treinta años arriba hasta cincuenta años los contarás; todos los que entran en compañía, para hacer servicio en el tabernáculo del testimonio.
24Este será el oficio de las familias de Gersón, para ministrar y para llevar:
25Llevarán las cortinas del tabernáculo, y el tabernáculo del testimonio, su cubierta, y la cubierta de pieles de tejones que está sobre él encima, y el pabellón de la puerta del tabernáculo del testimonio,
26Y las cortinas del atrio, y el pabellón de la puerta del atrio, que está cerca del tabernáculo y cerca del altar alrededor, y sus cuerdas, y todos los instrumentos de su servicio, y todo lo que será hecho para ellos: así servirán.
27Según la orden de Aarón y de sus hijos será todo el ministerio de los hijos de Gersón en todos sus cargos, y en todo su servicio: y les encomendaréis en guarda todos sus cargos.
28Este es el servicio de las familias de los hijos de Gersón en el tabernáculo del testimonio: y el cargo de ellos estará bajo la mano de Ithamar, hijo de Aarón el sacerdote.
29Contarás los hijos de Merari por sus familias, por las casas de sus padres.
30Desde el de edad de treinta años arriba hasta el de cincuenta años, los contarás; todos los que entran en compañía, para hacer servicio en el tabernáculo del testimonio.
31Y este será el deber de su cargo para todo su servicio en el tabernáculo del testimonio: las tablas del tabernáculo, y sus barras, y sus columnas, y sus basas,
32Y las columnas del atrio alrededor, y sus basas, y sus estacas, y sus cuerdas con todos sus instrumentos, y todo su servicio; y contaréis por sus nombres todos los vasos de la guarda de su cargo.
33Este será el servicio de las familias de los hijos de Merari para todo su ministerio en el tabernáculo del testimonio, bajo la mano de Ithamar, hijo de Aarón el sacerdote.
34Moisés, pues, y Aarón, y los jefes de la congregación, contaron los hijos de Coath por sus familias, y por las casas de sus padres,
35Desde el de edad de treinta años arriba hasta el de edad de cincuenta años; todos los que entran en compañía, para ministrar en el tabernáculo del testimonio.
36Y fueron los contados de ellos por sus familias, dos mil setecientos y cincuenta.
37Estos fueron los contados de las familias de Coath, todos los que ministran en el tabernáculo del testimonio, los cuales contaron Moisés y Aarón, como lo mandó Jehová por mano de Moisés.
38Y los contados de los hijos de Gersón, por sus familias, y por las casas de sus padres,

40Los contados de ellos por sus familias, por las casas de sus padres, fueron dos mil seiscientos y treinta.
41Estos son los contados de las familias de los hijos de Gersón, todos los que ministran en el tabernáculo del testimonio, los cuales contaron Moisés y Aarón por mandato de Jehová.
42Y los contados de las familias de los hijos de Merari, por sus familias, por las casas de sus padres,
43Desde el de edad de treinta años arriba hasta el de edad de cincuenta años, todos los que entran en compañía, para ministrar en el tabernáculo del testimonio:
44Los contados de ellos, por sus familias, fueron tres mil y doscientos.
45Estos fueron los contados de las familias de los hijos de Merari, los cuales contaron Moisés y Aarón, según lo mandó Jehová por mano de Moisés.
46Todos los contados de los Levitas, que Moisés y Aarón y los jefes de Israel contaron por sus familias, y por las casas de sus padres,
47Desde el de edad de treinta años arriba hasta el de edad de cincuenta años, todos los que entraban para ministrar en el servicio, y tener cargo de obra en el tabernáculo del testimonio;
48Los contados de ellos fueron ocho mil quinientos y ochenta,
49Como lo mandó Jehová por mano de Moisés fueron contados, cada uno según su oficio, y según su cargo; los cuales contó él, como le fué mandado.

1And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
2Take the sum of the sons of Kohath from among the sons of Levi, after their families, by the house of their fathers,
3From thirty years old and upward even until fifty years old, all that enter into the host, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation.
4This shall be the service of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation, about the most holy things:
5And when the camp setteth forward, Aaron shall come, and his sons, and they shall take down the covering vail, and cover the ark of testimony with it:
6And shall put thereon the covering of badgers’ skins, and shall spread over it a cloth wholly of blue, and shall put in the staves thereof.
7And upon the table of shewbread they shall spread a cloth of blue, and put thereon the dishes, and the spoons, and the bowls, and covers to cover withal: and the continual bread shall be thereon:
8And they shall spread upon them a cloth of scarlet, and cover the same with a covering of badgers’ skins, and shall put in the staves thereof.
9And they shall take a cloth of blue, and cover the candlestick of the light, and his lamps, and his tongs, and his snuffdishes, and all the oil vessels thereof, wherewith they minister unto it:
10And they shall put it and all the vessels thereof within a covering of badgers’ skins, and shall put it upon a bar.
11And upon the golden altar they shall spread a cloth of blue, and cover it with a covering of badgers’ skins, and shall put to the staves thereof:
12And they shall take all the instruments of ministry, wherewith they minister in the sanctuary, and put them in a cloth of blue, and cover them with a covering of badgers’ skins, and shall put them on a bar:
13And they shall take away the ashes from the altar, and spread a purple cloth thereon:
14And they shall put upon it all the vessels thereof, wherewith they minister about it, even the censers, the fleshhooks, and the shovels, and the basons, all the vessels of the altar; and they shall spread upon it a covering of badgers’ skins, and put to the staves of it.
15And when Aaron and his sons have made an end of covering the sanctuary, and all the vessels of the sanctuary, as the camp is to set forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to bear it: but they shall not touch any holy thing, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation.
16And to the office of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest pertaineth the oil for the light, and the sweet incense, and the daily meat offering, and the anointing oil, and the oversight of all the tabernacle, and of all that therein is, in the sanctuary, and in the vessels thereof.
17And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
18Cut ye not off the tribe of the families of the Kohathites from among the Levites:
19But thus do unto them, that they may live, and not die, when they approach unto the most holy things: Aaron and his sons shall go in, and appoint them every one to his service and to his burden:
20But they shall not go in to see when the holy things are covered, lest they die.
21And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
22Take also the sum of the sons of Gershon, throughout the houses of their fathers, by their families;
23From thirty years old and upward until fifty years old shalt thou number them; all that enter in to perform the service, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation.
24This is the service of the families of the Gershonites, to serve, and for burdens:
25And they shall bear the curtains of the tabernacle, and the tabernacle of the congregation, his covering, and the covering of the badgers’ skins that is above upon it, and the hanging for the door of the tabernacle of the congregation,
26And the hangings of the court, and the hanging for the door of the gate of the court, which is by the tabernacle and by the altar round about, and their cords, and all the instruments of their service, and all that is made for them: so shall they serve.
27At the appointment of Aaron and his sons shall be all the service of the sons of the Gershonites, in all their burdens, and in all their service: and ye shall appoint unto them in charge all their burdens.
28This is the service of the families of the sons of Gershon in the tabernacle of the congregation: and their charge shall be under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.
29As for the sons of Merari, thou shalt number them after their families, by the house of their fathers;
30From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old shalt thou number them, every one that entereth into the service, to do the work of the tabernacle of the congregation.
31And this is the charge of their burden, according to all their service in the tabernacle of the congregation; the boards of the tabernacle, and the bars thereof, and the pillars thereof, and sockets thereof,

34And Moses and Aaron and the chief of the congregation numbered the sons of the Kohathites after their families, and after the house of their fathers,
35From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entereth into the service, for the work in the tabernacle of the congregation:
36And those that were numbered of them by their families were two thousand seven hundred and fifty.
37These were they that were numbered of the families of the Kohathites, all that might do service in the tabernacle of the congregation, which Moses and Aaron did number according to the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses.
38And those that were numbered of the sons of Gershon, throughout their families, and by the house of their fathers,

46All those that were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron and the chief of Israel numbered, after their families, and after the house of their fathers,
47From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that came to do the service of the ministry, and the service of the burden in the tabernacle of the congregation,
48Even those that were numbered of them, were eight thousand and five hundred and fourscore.
49According to the commandment of the LORD they were numbered by the hand of Moses, every one according to his service, and according to his burden: thus were they numbered of him, as the LORD commanded Moses.

1The LORD spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,
2“Take a census of the sons of Kohath from among the sons of Levi, by their families, by their fathers’ houses,
3from thirty years old and upward even until fifty years old, all who enter into the service to do the work in the Tent of Meeting.
4“This is the service of the sons of Kohath in the Tent of Meeting, regarding the most holy things.
5When the camp moves forward, Aaron shall go in with his sons; and they shall take down the veil of the screen, cover the ark of the Testimony with it,
6put a covering of sealskin on it, spread a blue cloth over it, and put in its poles.
7“On the table of show bread they shall spread a blue cloth, and put on it the dishes, the spoons, the bowls, and the cups with which to pour out; and the continual bread shall be on it.
8They shall spread on them a scarlet cloth, and cover it with a covering of sealskin, and shall put in its poles.
9“They shall take a blue cloth and cover the lamp stand of the light, its lamps, its snuffers, its snuff dishes, and all its oil vessels, with which they minister to it.
10They shall put it and all its vessels within a covering of sealskin, and shall put it on the frame.
11“On the golden altar they shall spread a blue cloth, and cover it with a covering of sealskin, and shall put in its poles.
12“They shall take all the vessels of ministry with which they minister in the sanctuary, and put them in a blue cloth, cover them with a covering of sealskin, and shall put them on the frame.

14They shall put on it all its vessels with which they minister about it, the fire pans, the meat hooks, the shovels, and the basins—all the vessels of the altar; and they shall spread on it a covering of sealskin, and put in its poles.
15“When Aaron and his sons have finished covering the sanctuary and all the furniture of the sanctuary, as the camp moves forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to carry it; but they shall not touch the sanctuary, lest they die. The sons of Kohath shall carry these things belonging to the Tent of Meeting.
16“The duty of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest shall be the oil for the light, the sweet incense, the continual meal offering, and the anointing oil, the requirements of all the tabernacle, and of all that is in it, the sanctuary, and its furnishings.”
17The LORD spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,
18“Don’t cut off the tribe of the families of the Kohathites from among the Levites;
19but do this to them, that they may live, and not die, when they approach the most holy things: Aaron and his sons shall go in and appoint everyone to his service and to his burden;
20but they shall not go in to see the sanctuary even for a moment, lest they die.”
21The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
22“Take a census of the sons of Gershon also, by their fathers’ houses, by their families;
23you shall count them from thirty years old and upward until fifty years old: all who enter in to wait on the service, to do the work in the Tent of Meeting.
24“This is the service of the families of the Gershonites, in serving and in bearing burdens:
25they shall carry the curtains of the tabernacle and the Tent of Meeting, its covering, the covering of sealskin that is on it, the screen for the door of the Tent of Meeting,
26the hangings of the court, the screen for the door of the gate of the court which is by the tabernacle and around the altar, their cords, and all the instruments of their service, and whatever shall be done with them. They shall serve in there.
27At the commandment of Aaron and his sons shall be all the service of the sons of the Gershonites, in all their burden and in all their service; and you shall appoint their duty to them in all their responsibilities.
28This is the service of the families of the sons of the Gershonites in the Tent of Meeting. Their duty shall be under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.
29“As for the sons of Merari, you shall count them by their families, by their fathers’ houses;
30you shall count them from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old—everyone who enters on the service, to do the work of the Tent of Meeting.
31This is the duty of their burden, according to all their service in the Tent of Meeting: the tabernacle’s boards, its bars, its pillars, its sockets,
32the pillars of the court around it, their sockets, their pins, their cords, with all their instruments, and with all their service. You shall appoint the instruments of the duty of their burden to them by name.
33This is the service of the families of the sons of Merari, according to all their service in the Tent of Meeting, under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.”
34Moses and Aaron and the princes of the congregation counted the sons of the Kohathites by their families, and by their fathers’ houses,
35from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old, everyone who entered into the service for work in the Tent of Meeting.
36Those who were counted of them by their families were two thousand seven hundred fifty.
37These are those who were counted of the families of the Kohathites, all who served in the Tent of Meeting, whom Moses and Aaron counted according to the commandment of the LORD by Moses.
38Those who were counted of the sons of Gershon, by their families, and by their fathers’ houses,

47from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old, everyone who entered in to do the work of service and the work of bearing burdens in the Tent of Meeting,
48even those who were counted of them, were eight thousand five hundred eighty.
49According to the commandment of the LORD they were counted by Moses, everyone according to his service and according to his burden. Thus they were counted by him, as the LORD commanded Moses.
