(Dies ist) die Weissagung Obadjas. So hat Gott der HERR in bezug auf Edom gesprochen: Eine Kunde haben wir vom HERRN vernommen, und eine Botschaft ist an die Völker gesandt worden: »Auf! Wir wollen uns gegen ihn erheben zum Kriege!«

VISIÓN de Abdías. El Señor Jehová ha dicho así cuanto á Edom: Oído hemos el pregón de Jehová, y mensajero es enviado á las gentes. Levantaos, y levantémonos contra ella en batalla.

The vision of Obadiah. Thus saith the Lord GOD concerning Edom; We have heard a rumour from the LORD, and an ambassador is sent among the heathen, Arise ye, and let us rise up against her in battle.

The vision of Obadiah. This is what the Lord GOD says about Edom. We have heard news from the LORD, and an ambassador is sent among the nations, saying, “Arise, and let’s rise up against her in battle.

»Wisse wohl: klein mache ich dich unter den Völkern; ganz verachtet sollst du sein!

He aquí, pequeño te he hecho entre las gentes; abatido eres tú en gran manera.

Behold, I have made thee small among the heathen: thou art greatly despised.

Behold, I have made you small among the nations. You are greatly despised.

Dein hochfahrender Sinn hat dich betört, der du in Felsklüften auf hohem Sitze wohnst und in deinem Herzen denkst: ›Wer könnte mich zur Erde hinabstürzen?‹

La soberbia de tu corazón te ha engañado, tú que moras en las hendiduras de las peñas, en tu altísima morada; que dices en tu corazón: ¿Quién me derribará á tierra?

The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee, thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high; that saith in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground?

The pride of your heart has deceived you, you who dwell in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high, who says in his heart, ‘Who will bring me down to the ground?’

Wenn du auch hoch horstetest wie der Adler und dein Nest zwischen den Sternen gebaut wäre, würde ich dich doch von dort herabholen!« – so lautet der Ausspruch des HERRN.

Si te encaramares como águila, y si entre las estrellas pusieres tu nido, de ahí te derribaré, dice Jehová.

Though thou exalt thyself as the eagle, and though thou set thy nest among the stars, thence will I bring thee down, saith the LORD.

Though you mount on high as the eagle, and though your nest is set among the stars, I will bring you down from there,” says the LORD.

Wenn Diebe bei dir eingebrochen wären oder nächtliche Räuber – ach, wie bist du zugrunde gerichtet! –, so würden sie doch nur soviel gestohlen haben, als sie bedurften; und wenn Weingärtner in deinen Weinberg eingebrochen wären, würden sie nicht eine Nachlese übriggelassen haben?

Si ladrones vinieran á ti, ó robadores de noche (¡cómo has sido destruído!) ¿no hurtaran lo que les bastase? Pues si entraran á ti vendimiadores, aun dejaran algún rebusco.

If thieves came to thee, if robbers by night, (how art thou cut off!) would they not have stolen till they had enough? if the grapegatherers came to thee, would they not leave some grapes?

“If thieves came to you, if robbers by night—oh, what disaster awaits you—wouldn’t they only steal until they had enough? If grape pickers came to you, wouldn’t they leave some gleaning grapes?

Nun aber – wie ist Esau durchstöbert, wie sind seine verborgensten Schätze aufgewühlt worden!

¡Cómo fueron escudriñadas las cosas de Esaú! sus cosas escondidas fueron buscadas.

How are the things of Esau searched out! how are his hidden things sought up!

How Esau will be ransacked! How his hidden treasures are sought out!

Bis an die Landesgrenze haben dich alle deine Verbündeten getrieben; betrogen und vergewaltigt haben dich deine guten Freunde; die dein Brot aßen, legen dir Fallstricke.

Hasta el término te hicieron llegar todos tus aliados; te han engañado tus pacíficos, prevalecieron contra ti; los que comían tu pan, pusieron el lazo debajo de ti: no hay en él entendimiento.

All the men of thy confederacy have brought thee even to the border: the men that were at peace with thee have deceived thee, and prevailed against thee; they that eat thy bread have laid a wound under thee: there is none understanding in him.

All the men of your alliance have brought you on your way, even to the border. The men who were at peace with you have deceived you, and prevailed against you. Friends who eat your bread lay a snare under you. There is no understanding in him.”

»Fürwahr, an jenem Tage« – so lautet der Ausspruch des HERRN – »werde ich die Weisen aus Edom verschwinden lassen und die Einsicht vom Berglande Esaus;

¿No haré que perezcan en aquel día, dice Jehová, los sabios de Edom, y la prudencia del monte de Esaú?

Shall I not in that day, saith the LORD, even destroy the wise men out of Edom, and understanding out of the mount of Esau?

“Won’t I in that day”, says the LORD, “destroy the wise men out of Edom, and understanding out of the mountain of Esau?

und deine tapferen Krieger, Theman, sollen verzagen, auf daß auch der letzte Mann aus dem Berglande Esaus ausgerottet wird!«

Y tus valientes, oh Temán, serán quebrantados; porque todo hombre será talado del monte de Esaú por el estrago.

And thy mighty men, O Teman, shall be dismayed, to the end that every one of the mount of Esau may be cut off by slaughter.

Your mighty men, Teman, will be dismayed, to the end that everyone may be cut off from the mountain of Esau by slaughter.

Wegen des an deinem Bruder Jakob verübten Frevels lastet Schande auf dir, und du wirst auf ewig vernichtet.

Por la injuria de tu hermano Jacob te cubrirá vergüenza, y serás talado para siempre.

For thy violence against thy brother Jacob shame shall cover thee, and thou shalt be cut off for ever.

For the violence done to your brother Jacob, shame will cover you, and you will be cut off forever.

Damals, als du dabeistandest, als Ausländer sein Hab und Gut wegschleppten und Fremde in seine Tore einzogen und das Los über Jerusalem warfen, da bist auch du wie einer von ihnen gewesen.

El día que estando tú delante, llevaban extraños cautivo su ejército, y los extraños entraban por sus puertas, y echaban suertes sobre Jerusalem, tú también eras como uno de ellos.

In the day that thou stoodest on the other side, in the day that the strangers carried away captive his forces, and foreigners entered into his gates, and cast lots upon Jerusalem, even thou wast as one of them.

In the day that you stood on the other side, in the day that strangers carried away his substance and foreigners entered into his gates and cast lots for Jerusalem, even you were like one of them.

Und doch hättest du deine Lust nicht sehen sollen am Tage deines Bruders, am Tage seines Mißgeschicks, und hättest keine Schadenfreude über die Kinder Juda am Tage ihres Untergangs empfinden und deinen Mund nicht weit aufreißen dürfen am Tage ihrer Not!

Pues no debiste tú estar mirando en el día de tu hermano, el día en que fué extrañado: no te habías de haber alegrado de los hijos de Judá en el día que se perdieron, ni habías de ensanchar tu boca en el día de la angustia:

But thou shouldest not have looked on the day of thy brother in the day that he became a stranger; neither shouldest thou have rejoiced over the children of Judah in the day of their destruction; neither shouldest thou have spoken proudly in the day of distress.

But don’t look down on your brother in the day of his disaster, and don’t rejoice over the children of Judah in the day of their destruction. Don’t speak proudly in the day of distress.

Du hättest nicht in das Tor meines Volkes einziehen sollen am Tage seines Unglücks und auch nicht deine Lust sehen am Tage seines Unglücks, noch deine Hand nach seinem Hab und Gut ausstrecken dürfen am Tage seines Unglücks!

No habías de haber entrado por la puerta de mi pueblo en el día de su quebrantamiento; no, no habías tú de haber mirado su mal el día de su quebranto, ni haber echado mano á sus bienes el día de su calamidad.

Thou shouldest not have entered into the gate of my people in the day of their calamity; yea, thou shouldest not have looked on their affliction in the day of their calamity, nor have laid hands on their substance in the day of their calamity;

Don’t enter into the gate of my people in the day of their calamity. Don’t look down on their affliction in the day of their calamity, neither seize their wealth on the day of their calamity.

Auch hättest du dich nicht an den Talspalten aufstellen sollen, um seine Flüchtlinge niederzumachen, und hättest seine Entronnenen nicht ausliefern dürfen am Tage der Drangsal!

Tampoco habías de haberte parado en las encrucijadas, para matar los que de ellos escapasen; ni habías tú de haber entregado los que quedaban en el día de angustia.

Neither shouldest thou have stood in the crossway, to cut off those of his that did escape; neither shouldest thou have delivered up those of his that did remain in the day of distress.

Don’t stand in the crossroads to cut off those of his who escape. Don’t deliver up those of his who remain in the day of distress.

b Wie du getan hast, wird dir wieder getan; was du verübt hast, fällt auf dein eigenes Haupt zurück! a Denn nahe ist der Tag des HERRN über alle Völker.

Porque cercano está el día de Jehová sobre todas las gentes: como tú hiciste se hará contigo: tu galardón volverá sobre tu cabeza.

For the day of the LORD is near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done, it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head.

For the day of the LORD is near all the nations! As you have done, it will be done to you. Your deeds will return upon your own head.

»Denn wie ihr (Judäer) auf meinem heiligen Berge (den Zornesbecher) habt trinken müssen, so sollen alle Völker fort und fort (ihn) trinken; ja, sie sollen trinken und taumeln und sollen werden, als wären sie nie gewesen!

De la manera que vosotros bebisteis en mi santo monte, beberán todas las gentes de continuo; beberán, y engullirán, y serán como si no hubieran sido.

For as ye have drunk upon my holy mountain, so shall all the heathen drink continually, yea, they shall drink, and they shall swallow down, and they shall be as though they had not been.

For as you have drunk on my holy mountain, so all the nations will drink continually. Yes, they will drink, swallow down, and will be as though they had not been.

Aber auf dem Berge Zion wird eine Rettung sein, und er wird als heiliges Gebiet gelten, und die vom Hause Jakob werden ihren Besitz wieder einnehmen.«

Mas en el monte de Sión habrá salvamento, y será santidad, y la casa de Jacob, poseerá sus posesiones.

But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.

But in Mount Zion, there will be those who escape, and it will be holy. The house of Jacob will possess their possessions.

Und das Haus Jakob wird ein Feuer sein und das Haus Joseph eine Flamme; aber das Haus Esau wird zu einem Strohbündel werden, das von jenen angezündet und verzehrt wird, so daß vom Hause Esau nichts übrigbleibt; denn der HERR hat es ausgesprochen.

Y la casa de Jacob será fuego, y la casa de José será llama, y la casa de Esaú estopa, y los quemarán, y los consumirán; ni aun reliquia quedará en la casa de Esaú, porque Jehová lo habló.

And the house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau for stubble, and they shall kindle in them, and devour them; and there shall not be any remaining of the house of Esau; for the LORD hath spoken it.

The house of Jacob will be a fire, the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau for stubble. They will burn among them and devour them. There will not be any remaining to the house of Esau.” Indeed, the LORD has spoken.

Und die im Südland Wohnenden werden das Bergland Esaus in Besitz nehmen und die in der Niederung Wohnenden das Philisterland; auch das Gefilde Ephraims und das Gefilde Samarias werden sie einnehmen, und Benjamin wird Gilead besetzen;

Y los del mediodía poseerán el monte de Esaú, y los llanos de los Palestinos; poseerán también los campos de Ephraim, y los campos de Samaria; y Benjamín á Galaad.

And they of the south shall possess the mount of Esau; and they of the plain the Philistines: and they shall possess the fields of Ephraim, and the fields of Samaria: and Benjamin shall possess Gilead.

Those of the South will possess the mountain of Esau, and those of the lowland, the Philistines. They will possess the field of Ephraim, and the field of Samaria. Benjamin will possess Gilead.

und die in die Gefangenschaft Geführten, diese Heerschar der Kinder Israel, werden Phönizien bis Sarepta hin erobern; und die aus Jerusalem in die Gefangenschaft Geführten, die sich in Sepharad befinden, werden die Städte des Südlandes in Besitz nehmen.

Y los cautivos de aqueste ejército de los hijos de Israel poseerán lo de los Cananeos hasta Sarepta; y los cautivos de Jerusalem, que están en Sepharad, poseerán las ciudades del mediodía.

And the captivity of this host of the children of Israel shall possess that of the Canaanites, even unto Zarephath; and the captivity of Jerusalem, which is in Sepharad, shall possess the cities of the south.

The captives of this army of the children of Israel, who are among the Canaanites, will possess even to Zarephath; and the captives of Jerusalem, who are in Sepharad, will possess the cities of the Negev.

Dann werden sie als Befreier auf den Berg Zion hinaufziehen, um Richter im Berglande Esaus zu sein; das Königtum aber wird dem HERRN gehören.

Y vendrán salvadores al monte de Sión para juzgar al monte de Esaú; y el reino será de Jehová.

And saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the LORD’s.

Saviors will go up on Mount Zion to judge the mountains of Esau, and the kingdom will be the LORD’s.
