1Pablo, prisionero de Cristo Jesús, y el hermano Timoteo, a Filemón, nuestro amado compañero de trabajo,
2a la amada hermana Apia, a Arquipo, nuestro compañero de lucha, y a la iglesia que se reúne en tu casa:
3Gracia y paz a ustedes de parte de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo.
4Siempre doy gracias a mi Dios al recordarte en mis oraciones,
5porque oigo del amor y de la fe que tienes hacia el Señor Jesús y hacia todos los santos.
6Oro para que la comunión de tu fe sea eficaz en el conocimiento de todo lo bueno que hay en nosotros en Cristo Jesús.
7Pues tenemos mucha alegría y consuelo por tu amor, hermano, ya que los corazones de los santos han sido reconfortados por medio de ti.
8Por lo tanto, aunque en Cristo tengo la confianza suficiente para ordenarte lo que debes hacer,
9prefiero rogártelo por amor. Yo, Pablo, siendo ya anciano y ahora, además, prisionero de Cristo Jesús,
10te ruego por mi hijo Onésimo, a quien engendré en mis prisiones.
11En otro tiempo él te fue inútil, pero ahora nos es muy útil, tanto a ti como a mí.
12Te lo devuelvo; recíbelo, pues, como a mi propio corazón.
13Yo hubiera querido retenerlo conmigo, para que me sirviera en tu lugar en mis prisiones por el evangelio;
14pero no quise hacer nada sin tu consentimiento, para que tu favor no fuera por obligación, sino por tu propia voluntad.
15Porque tal vez se separó de ti por un tiempo para que lo pudieras tener para siempre,
16ya no como esclavo, sino como algo mejor que un esclavo, como un hermano amado. Lo es especialmente para mí, pero cuánto más lo será para ti, tanto en lo humano como en el Señor.
17Así que, si me consideras tu compañero, recíbelo como a mí mismo.
18Y si te ha perjudicado en algo o te debe algo, ponlo a mi cuenta.
19Yo, Pablo, lo escribo con mi propia mano: yo te lo pagaré (por no mencionarte que tú mismo me debes la vida).
20Sí, hermano, concédeme este favor en el Señor; reconforta mi corazón en Cristo.
21Te escribo confiando en tu obediencia, sabiendo que harás incluso más de lo que te pido.
22Además, prepárame alojamiento, porque espero que, gracias a las oraciones de ustedes, se me concederá ir a verlos.
23Te saluda Epafras, mi compañero de cárcel en Cristo Jesús,
24y también Marcos, Aristarco, Demas y Lucas, mis compañeros de trabajo.
25Que la gracia de nuestro Señor Jesucristo sea con el espíritu de ustedes. Amén.

1PABLO, prisionero de Jesucristo, y el hermano Timoteo, á Filemón amado, y coadjutor nuestro;
2Y á la amada Apphia, y á Archîpo, compañero de nuestra milicia, y á la iglesia que está en tu casa:
3Gracia á vosotros y paz de Dios nuestro Padre, y del Señor Jesucristo.
4Doy gracias á mi Dios, haciendo siempre memoria de ti en mis oraciones.
5Oyendo tu caridad, y la fe que tienes en el Señor Jesús, y para con todos los santos;
6Para que la comunicación de tu fe sea eficaz, en el conocimiento de todo el bien que está en vosotros, por Cristo Jesús.
7Porque tenemos gran gozo y consolación de tu caridad, de que por ti, oh hermano, han sido recreadas las entrañas de los santos.
8Por lo cual, aunque tengo mucha resolución en Cristo para mandarte lo que conviene,
9Ruégote más bien por amor, siendo tal cual soy, Pablo viejo, y aun ahora prisionero de Jesucristo:
10Ruégote por mi hijo Onésimo, que he engendrado en mis prisiones,
11El cual en otro tiempo te fué inútil, mas ahora á ti y á mí es útil;
12El cual te vuelvo á enviar; tú pues, recíbele como á mis entrañas.
13Yo quisiera detenerle conmigo, para que en lugar de ti me sirviese en las prisiones del evangelio;
14Mas nada quise hacer sin tu consejo, porque tu beneficio no fuese como de necesidad, sino voluntario.
15Porque acaso por esto se ha apartado de ti por algún tiempo, para que le recibieses para siempre;
16No ya como siervo, antes más que siervo, como hermano amado, mayormente de mí, pero cuánto más de ti, en la carne y en el Señor.
17Así que, si me tienes por compañero, recíbele como á mí.
18Y si en algo te dañó, ó te debe, ponlo á mi cuenta.
19Yo Pablo lo escribí de mi mano, yo lo pagaré: por no decirte que aun á ti mismo te me debes demás.
20Sí, hermano, góceme yo de ti en el Señor; recrea mis entrañas en el Señor.
21Te he escrito confiando en tu obediencia, sabiendo que aun harás más de lo que digo.
22Y asimismo prepárame también alojamiento; porque espero que por vuestras oraciones os tengo de ser concedido.
23Te saludan Epafras, mi compañero en la prisión por Cristo Jesús,
24Marcos, Aristarco, Demas y Lucas, mis cooperadores.
25La gracia de nuestro Señor Jesucristo sea con vuestro espíritu. Amén. A Filemón fué enviada de Roma por Onésimo, siervo.

1Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy our brother, unto Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellowlabourer,
2And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the church in thy house:
3Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
4I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers,
5Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;
6That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.
7For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother.
8Wherefore, though I might be much bold in Christ to enjoin thee that which is convenient,
9Yet for love’s sake I rather beseech thee, being such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.
10I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds:
11Which in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable to thee and to me:
12Whom I have sent again: thou therefore receive him, that is, mine own bowels:
13Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the gospel:
14But without thy mind would I do nothing; that thy benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly.
15For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldest receive him for ever;
16Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord?
17If thou count me therefore a partner, receive him as myself.
18If he hath wronged thee, or oweth thee ought, put that on mine account;
19I Paul have written it with mine own hand, I will repay it: albeit I do not say to thee how thou owest unto me even thine own self besides.
20Yea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord: refresh my bowels in the Lord.
21Having confidence in thy obedience I wrote unto thee, knowing that thou wilt also do more than I say.
22But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given unto you.
23There salute thee Epaphras, my fellowprisoner in Christ Jesus;
24Marcus, Aristarchus, Demas, Lucas, my fellowlabourers.
25The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.

1Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother, to Philemon, our beloved fellow worker,
2to the beloved Apphia, to Archippus our fellow soldier, and to the assembly in your house:
3Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
4I thank my God always, making mention of you in my prayers,
5hearing of your love and of the faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints,
6that the fellowship of your faith may become effective in the knowledge of every good thing which is in us in Christ Jesus.
7For we have much joy and comfort in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you, brother.
8Therefore though I have all boldness in Christ to command you that which is appropriate,
9yet for love’s sake I rather appeal to you, being such a one as Paul, the aged, but also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.
10I appeal to you for my child Onesimus, whom I have become the father of in my chains,
11who once was useless to you, but now is useful to you and to me.
12I am sending him back. Therefore receive him, that is, my own heart,
13whom I desired to keep with me, that on your behalf he might serve me in my chains for the Good News.
14But I was willing to do nothing without your consent, that your goodness would not be as of necessity, but of free will.
15For perhaps he was therefore separated from you for a while that you would have him forever,
16no longer as a slave, but more than a slave, a beloved brother—especially to me, but how much rather to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord.
17If then you count me a partner, receive him as you would receive me.
18But if he has wronged you at all or owes you anything, put that to my account.
19I, Paul, write this with my own hand: I will repay it (not to mention to you that you owe to me even your own self besides).
20Yes, brother, let me have joy from you in the Lord. Refresh my heart in the Lord.
21Having confidence in your obedience, I write to you, knowing that you will do even beyond what I say.
22Also, prepare a guest room for me, for I hope that through your prayers I will be restored to you.
23Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus, greets you,
24as do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, and Luke, my fellow workers.
25The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
