Paulus, der Gebundene Christi Jesu, und Timotheus, der Bruder: Philemon, dem Lieben und unserm Gehilfen,

PABLO, prisionero de Jesucristo, y el hermano Timoteo, á Filemón amado, y coadjutor nuestro;

Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy our brother, unto Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellowlabourer,

Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother, to Philemon, our beloved fellow worker,

und Appia, der Lieben, und Archippus, unserm Streitgenossen, und der Gemeinde in deinem Flause.

nachdem ich hore von der Liebe und dem Glauben, welchen du hast an den Flerrn Jesum und gegen alle Heiligen,

Oyendo tu caridad, y la fe que tienes en el Señor Jesús, y para con todos los santos;

Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;

hearing of your love and of the faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints,

daß dein Glaube, den wir miteinander haben, in dir kraftig werde durch Erkenntnis alles des Guten, das ihr habt in Christo Jesu.

Para que la comunicación de tu fe sea eficaz, en el conocimiento de todo el bien que está en vosotros, por Cristo Jesús.

That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

Wir haben abergrofte Freude und Trostan deiner Liebe; denn die Herzen der Heiligen sind erquicket durch dich, lieber Bruder..

Porque tenemos gran gozo y consolación de tu caridad, de que por ti, oh hermano, han sido recreadas las entrañas de los santos.

For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother.

For we have much joy and comfort in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you, brother.

Darum, wiewohl ich habe grofte Freudigkeit in Christo, dirzu gebieten, was dirziemet,

Por lo cual, aunque tengo mucha resolución en Cristo para mandarte lo que conviene,

Wherefore, though I might be much bold in Christ to enjoin thee that which is convenient,

Therefore though I have all boldness in Christ to command you that which is appropriate,

so will ich doch urn der Liebe willen nur vermahnen, der ich ein solcher bin, namlich ein alter Paulus, nun aber auch ein Gebundener Jesu Christi.

Ruégote más bien por amor, siendo tal cual soy, Pablo viejo, y aun ahora prisionero de Jesucristo:

Yet for love’s sake I rather beseech thee, being such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.

So ermahne ich dich urn meines Sohnes willen, Onesimus, den ich gezeuget habe in meinen Banden,

Ruégote por mi hijo Onésimo, que he engendrado en mis prisiones,

I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds:

I appeal to you for my child Onesimus, whom I have become the father of in my chains,

welcher weiland dir unnutze, nun aber dir und mirwohl nütze ist: den habe ich wiedergesandt.

El cual en otro tiempo te fué inútil, mas ahora á ti y á mí es útil;

Which in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable to thee and to me:

who once was useless to you, but now is useful to you and to me.

Du aberwollest ihn, das ist, mein eigen Herz, annehmen.

El cual te vuelvo á enviar; tú pues, recíbele como á mis entrañas.

Whom I have sent again: thou therefore receive him, that is, mine own bowels:

I am sending him back. Therefore receive him, that is, my own heart,

Denn ich wollte ihn bei mir behalten, daß er mir an deiner Statt dienete in den Banden des Evangeliums;

Yo quisiera detenerle conmigo, para que en lugar de ti me sirviese en las prisiones del evangelio;

Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the gospel:

whom I desired to keep with me, that on your behalf he might serve me in my chains for the Good News.

aber ohne deinen Willen wollte ich nichts tun, auf daß dein Gutes nicht ware genotiget, sondern freiwillig.

Mas nada quise hacer sin tu consejo, porque tu beneficio no fuese como de necesidad, sino voluntario.

But without thy mind would I do nothing; that thy benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly.

But I was willing to do nothing without your consent, that your goodness would not be as of necessity, but of free will.

Vielleicht aber ist er darum eine Zeitlang von dir kommen, daß du ihn ewig wieder hattest,

Porque acaso por esto se ha apartado de ti por algún tiempo, para que le recibieses para siempre;

For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldest receive him for ever;

For perhaps he was therefore separated from you for a while that you would have him forever,

nun nicht mehr als einen Knecht, sondern mehr denn einen Knecht, einen lieben Bruder, sonderlich mir; wie viel mehr aber dir, beide, nach dem Fleisch und in dem Herrn.

No ya como siervo, antes más que siervo, como hermano amado, mayormente de mí, pero cuánto más de ti, en la carne y en el Señor.

Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord?

no longer as a slave, but more than a slave, a beloved brother—especially to me, but how much rather to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord.

So du nun mich haltst fur deinen Gesellen, so wollest du ihn als mich selbst annehmen.

Así que, si me tienes por compañero, recíbele como á mí.

If thou count me therefore a partner, receive him as myself.

If then you count me a partner, receive him as you would receive me.

So er aber dir etwas Schaden getan hat Oder schuldig ist, das rechne mirzu.

Y si en algo te dañó, ó te debe, ponlo á mi cuenta.

If he hath wronged thee, or oweth thee ought, put that on mine account;

But if he has wronged you at all or owes you anything, put that to my account.

Ich, Paulus, hab' es geschrieben mitmeiner Hand; ich will's bezahlen. Ich schweige, daß du dich selbst mir schuldig bist.

Yo Pablo lo escribí de mi mano, yo lo pagaré: por no decirte que aun á ti mismo te me debes demás.

I Paul have written it with mine own hand, I will repay it: albeit I do not say to thee how thou owest unto me even thine own self besides.

I, Paul, write this with my own hand: I will repay it (not to mention to you that you owe to me even your own self besides).

Ja, lieber Bruder, gonne mir, daß ich mich an dir erqotze in dem Herrn; erquicke mein Herz in dem Herrn!

Sí, hermano, góceme yo de ti en el Señor; recrea mis entrañas en el Señor.

Yea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord: refresh my bowels in the Lord.

Yes, brother, let me have joy from you in the Lord. Refresh my heart in the Lord.

Ich hab' aus Zuversicht deines Gehorsams dir geschrieben; denn ich weift, du wirst mehr tun, denn ich sage.

Te he escrito confiando en tu obediencia, sabiendo que aun harás más de lo que digo.

Having confidence in thy obedience I wrote unto thee, knowing that thou wilt also do more than I say.

Having confidence in your obedience, I write to you, knowing that you will do even beyond what I say.

Daneben bereite mir die Herberge; denn ich hoffe, daß ich durch euer Gebet euch geschenket werde.

Y asimismo prepárame también alojamiento; porque espero que por vuestras oraciones os tengo de ser concedido.

But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given unto you.

Also, prepare a guest room for me, for I hope that through your prayers I will be restored to you.

Es gruliet dich Epaphras, mein Mitgefangener in Christo Jesu,

Te saludan Epafras, mi compañero en la prisión por Cristo Jesús,

There salute thee Epaphras, my fellowprisoner in Christ Jesus;

Die Gnade unsers Herrn Jesu Christi sei mit eurem Geist! Amen.
