Paulus, ein Gefangener Christi Jesu, und Timotheus, der Bruder, Philemon, dem Geliebten und unserem Mitarbeiter,

PABLO, prisionero de Jesucristo, y el hermano Timoteo, á Filemón amado, y coadjutor nuestro;

Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy our brother, unto Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellowlabourer,

Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother, to Philemon, our beloved fellow worker,

und Appia, der Schwester, und Archippus, unserem Mitkämpfer, und der Versammlung, die in deinem Hause ist:

Ich danke meinem Gott, indem ich allezeit deiner erwähne in meinen Gebeten,

I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers,

da ich höre von deiner Liebe und von dem Glauben, den du an den Herrn Jesus und zu allen Heiligen hast,

Oyendo tu caridad, y la fe que tienes en el Señor Jesús, y para con todos los santos;

Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;

hearing of your love and of the faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints,

daß die Gemeinschaft deines Glaubens wirksam werde in der Anerkennung alles Guten, welches in uns ist gegen Christum Jesum .

Para que la comunicación de tu fe sea eficaz, en el conocimiento de todo el bien que está en vosotros, por Cristo Jesús.

That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

Denn wir haben große Freude und großen Trost durch deine Liebe, weil die Herzen der Heiligen durch dich, Bruder, erquickt worden sind.

Porque tenemos gran gozo y consolación de tu caridad, de que por ti, oh hermano, han sido recreadas las entrañas de los santos.

For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother.

For we have much joy and comfort in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you, brother.

Deshalb, obgleich ich große Freimütigkeit in Christo habe, dir zu gebieten, was sich geziemt,

Por lo cual, aunque tengo mucha resolución en Cristo para mandarte lo que conviene,

Wherefore, though I might be much bold in Christ to enjoin thee that which is convenient,

Therefore though I have all boldness in Christ to command you that which is appropriate,

so bitte ich doch vielmehr um der Liebe willen, da ich nun ein solcher bin, wie Paulus, der Alte, jetzt aber auch ein Gefangener Jesu Christi.

Ruégote más bien por amor, siendo tal cual soy, Pablo viejo, y aun ahora prisionero de Jesucristo:

Yet for love’s sake I rather beseech thee, being such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.

Ich bitte dich für mein Kind, das ich gezeugt habe in den Banden, Onesimus,

Ruégote por mi hijo Onésimo, que he engendrado en mis prisiones,

I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds:

I appeal to you for my child Onesimus, whom I have become the father of in my chains,

der dir einst unnütz war, jetzt aber dir und mir nützlich ist,

El cual en otro tiempo te fué inútil, mas ahora á ti y á mí es útil;

Which in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable to thee and to me:

who once was useless to you, but now is useful to you and to me.

den ich zu dir zurückgesandt habe ihn, das ist mein Herz;

El cual te vuelvo á enviar; tú pues, recíbele como á mis entrañas.

Whom I have sent again: thou therefore receive him, that is, mine own bowels:

I am sending him back. Therefore receive him, that is, my own heart,

welchen ich bei mir behalten wollte, auf daß er statt deiner mir diene in den Banden des Evangeliums.

Yo quisiera detenerle conmigo, para que en lugar de ti me sirviese en las prisiones del evangelio;

Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the gospel:

whom I desired to keep with me, that on your behalf he might serve me in my chains for the Good News.

Aber ohne deinen Willen wollte ich nichts tun, auf daß deine Wohltat nicht wie gezwungen, sondern freiwillig sei.

Mas nada quise hacer sin tu consejo, porque tu beneficio no fuese como de necesidad, sino voluntario.

But without thy mind would I do nothing; that thy benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly.

But I was willing to do nothing without your consent, that your goodness would not be as of necessity, but of free will.

Denn vielleicht ist er deswegen für eine Zeit von dir getrennt gewesen, auf daß du ihn für immer besitzen mögest,

Porque acaso por esto se ha apartado de ti por algún tiempo, para que le recibieses para siempre;

For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldest receive him for ever;

For perhaps he was therefore separated from you for a while that you would have him forever,

nicht länger als einen Sklaven, sondern mehr als einen Sklaven, als einen geliebten Bruder, besonders für mich, wieviel mehr aber für dich, sowohl im Fleische als im Herrn.

No ya como siervo, antes más que siervo, como hermano amado, mayormente de mí, pero cuánto más de ti, en la carne y en el Señor.

Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord?

no longer as a slave, but more than a slave, a beloved brother—especially to me, but how much rather to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord.

Wenn du mich nun für deinen Genossen hältst, so nimm ihn auf wie mich.

Así que, si me tienes por compañero, recíbele como á mí.

If thou count me therefore a partner, receive him as myself.

If then you count me a partner, receive him as you would receive me.

Wenn er dir aber irgend ein Unrecht getan hat, oder dir etwas schuldig ist, so rechne dies mir an.

Y si en algo te dañó, ó te debe, ponlo á mi cuenta.

If he hath wronged thee, or oweth thee ought, put that on mine account;

But if he has wronged you at all or owes you anything, put that to my account.

Ich, Paulus, habe es mit meiner Hand geschrieben, ich will bezahlen; daß ich dir nicht sage, daß du auch dich selbst mir schuldig bist.

Yo Pablo lo escribí de mi mano, yo lo pagaré: por no decirte que aun á ti mismo te me debes demás.

I Paul have written it with mine own hand, I will repay it: albeit I do not say to thee how thou owest unto me even thine own self besides.

I, Paul, write this with my own hand: I will repay it (not to mention to you that you owe to me even your own self besides).

Ja, Bruder, ich möchte gern Nutzen an dir haben im Herrn; erquicke mein Herz in Christo.

Sí, hermano, góceme yo de ti en el Señor; recrea mis entrañas en el Señor.

Yea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord: refresh my bowels in the Lord.

Yes, brother, let me have joy from you in the Lord. Refresh my heart in the Lord.

Da ich deinem Gehorsam vertraue, so habe ich dir geschrieben, indem ich weiß, daß du auch mehr tun wirst, als ich sage.

Te he escrito confiando en tu obediencia, sabiendo que aun harás más de lo que digo.

Having confidence in thy obedience I wrote unto thee, knowing that thou wilt also do more than I say.

Having confidence in your obedience, I write to you, knowing that you will do even beyond what I say.

Zugleich aber bereite mir auch eine Herberge, denn ich hoffe, daß ich durch eure Gebete euch werde geschenkt werden.

Y asimismo prepárame también alojamiento; porque espero que por vuestras oraciones os tengo de ser concedido.

But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given unto you.

Also, prepare a guest room for me, for I hope that through your prayers I will be restored to you.
