Paulus, ein Gebundener Christi Jesu, und Timotheus, der Bruder, an Philemon, den geliebten und unsren Mitarbeiter;

PABLO, prisionero de Jesucristo, y el hermano Timoteo, á Filemón amado, y coadjutor nuestro;

Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy our brother, unto Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellowlabourer,

Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother, to Philemon, our beloved fellow worker,

und an Apphia, die geliebte, und Archippus, unsren Mitstreiter, und an die Gemeinde in deinem Hause.

Ich danke meinem Gott allezeit, wenn ich in meinen Gebeten deiner gedenke,

I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers,

weil ich von deiner Liebe und von dem Glauben höre, welchen du an den Herrn Jesus und gegen alle Heiligen hast,

Oyendo tu caridad, y la fe que tienes en el Señor Jesús, y para con todos los santos;

Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;

hearing of your love and of the faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints,

damit die Gemeinschaft deines Glaubens wirksam werde durch Erkenntnis all des Guten, das unter uns ist, für Christus Jesus.

Para que la comunicación de tu fe sea eficaz, en el conocimiento de todo el bien que está en vosotros, por Cristo Jesús.

That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

that the fellowship of your faith may become effective in the knowledge of every good thing which is in us in Christ Jesus.

Denn wir haben viel Freude und Trost ob deiner Liebe; denn die Herzen der Heiligen sind durch dich, Bruder, erquickt worden.

Porque tenemos gran gozo y consolación de tu caridad, de que por ti, oh hermano, han sido recreadas las entrañas de los santos.

For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother.

For we have much joy and comfort in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you, brother.

Darum, wiewohl ich in Christus volle Freiheit hätte, dir zu gebieten, was sich geziemt,

Por lo cual, aunque tengo mucha resolución en Cristo para mandarte lo que conviene,

Wherefore, though I might be much bold in Christ to enjoin thee that which is convenient,

Therefore though I have all boldness in Christ to command you that which is appropriate,

so will ich doch, um der Liebe willen, eher ermahnen, als ein solcher, wie ich bin, nämlich ein alter Paulus, jetzt aber auch ein Gebundener Jesu Christi.

Ruégote más bien por amor, siendo tal cual soy, Pablo viejo, y aun ahora prisionero de Jesucristo:

Yet for love’s sake I rather beseech thee, being such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.

Ich ermahne dich betreffs meines Sohnes, den ich in meinen Banden gezeugt habe, Onesimus,

Ruégote por mi hijo Onésimo, que he engendrado en mis prisiones,

I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds:

I appeal to you for my child Onesimus, whom I have become the father of in my chains,

der dir ehemals unnütz war, jetzt aber dir und mir nützlich ist.

El cual en otro tiempo te fué inútil, mas ahora á ti y á mí es útil;

Which in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable to thee and to me:

who once was useless to you, but now is useful to you and to me.

Ich sende ihn dir hiermit zurück; du aber nimm ihn auf wie mein eigen Herz.

El cual te vuelvo á enviar; tú pues, recíbele como á mis entrañas.

Whom I have sent again: thou therefore receive him, that is, mine own bowels:

I am sending him back. Therefore receive him, that is, my own heart,

Ich wollte ihn bei mir behalten, damit er mir an deiner Statt in den Banden des Evangeliums diene;

Yo quisiera detenerle conmigo, para que en lugar de ti me sirviese en las prisiones del evangelio;

Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the gospel:

whom I desired to keep with me, that on your behalf he might serve me in my chains for the Good News.

aber ohne deine Zustimmung wollte ich nichts tun, damit deine Wohltat nicht gleichsam erzwungen, sondern freiwillig wäre.

Mas nada quise hacer sin tu consejo, porque tu beneficio no fuese como de necesidad, sino voluntario.

But without thy mind would I do nothing; that thy benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly.

But I was willing to do nothing without your consent, that your goodness would not be as of necessity, but of free will.

Denn vielleicht ist er darum auf eine kurze Zeit von dir getrennt worden, damit du ihn auf ewig besitzest,

Porque acaso por esto se ha apartado de ti por algún tiempo, para que le recibieses para siempre;

For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldest receive him for ever;

For perhaps he was therefore separated from you for a while that you would have him forever,

nicht mehr als einen Sklaven, sondern, was besser ist als ein Sklave, als einen geliebten Bruder, allermeist für mich, wie viel mehr aber für dich, sowohl im Fleische als im Herrn.

No ya como siervo, antes más que siervo, como hermano amado, mayormente de mí, pero cuánto más de ti, en la carne y en el Señor.

Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord?

no longer as a slave, but more than a slave, a beloved brother—especially to me, but how much rather to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord.

Wenn du mich nun für einen Freund hältst, so nimm ihn auf, wie mich selbst.

Así que, si me tienes por compañero, recíbele como á mí.

If thou count me therefore a partner, receive him as myself.

If then you count me a partner, receive him as you would receive me.

Wenn er dir aber Schaden zugefügt hat oder etwas schuldig ist, so rechne das mir an.

Y si en algo te dañó, ó te debe, ponlo á mi cuenta.

If he hath wronged thee, or oweth thee ought, put that on mine account;

But if he has wronged you at all or owes you anything, put that to my account.

Ich, Paulus, schreibe es eigenhändig: Ich will bezahlen; zu schweigen davon, daß du auch dich selbst mir schuldig bist.

Yo Pablo lo escribí de mi mano, yo lo pagaré: por no decirte que aun á ti mismo te me debes demás.

I Paul have written it with mine own hand, I will repay it: albeit I do not say to thee how thou owest unto me even thine own self besides.

I, Paul, write this with my own hand: I will repay it (not to mention to you that you owe to me even your own self besides).

Ja, Bruder, laß mich von dir Nutzen haben im Herrn! Erquicke mein Herz im Herrn!

Sí, hermano, góceme yo de ti en el Señor; recrea mis entrañas en el Señor.

Yea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord: refresh my bowels in the Lord.

Yes, brother, let me have joy from you in the Lord. Refresh my heart in the Lord.

Im Vertrauen auf deinen Gehorsam schreibe ich dir, weil ich weiß, daß du noch mehr tun wirst, als ich dir sage.

Te he escrito confiando en tu obediencia, sabiendo que aun harás más de lo que digo.

Having confidence in thy obedience I wrote unto thee, knowing that thou wilt also do more than I say.

Having confidence in your obedience, I write to you, knowing that you will do even beyond what I say.

Zugleich aber bereite mir auch eine Herberge, denn ich hoffe, durch euer Gebet euch geschenkt zu werden.

Y asimismo prepárame también alojamiento; porque espero que por vuestras oraciones os tengo de ser concedido.

But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given unto you.

Also, prepare a guest room for me, for I hope that through your prayers I will be restored to you.
