Paulus und Timotheus, Sklaven Christi Jesu, allen Heiligen in Christus Jesus, die in Philippi sind, mit den Bischöfen (urspr.: Aufseher) und Diakonen (urspr.: Diener, Helfer) ,

PABLO y Timoteo, siervos de Jesucristo, á todos los santos en Cristo Jesús que están en Filipos, con los obispos y diáconos:

Gnade †sei mit euch und Friede von Gott, unserem Vater, und †vom Herrn Jesus Christus.

Gracia sea á vosotros, y paz de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo.

Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Ich danke meinem Gott (bei aller Erinnerung an euch =) so oft ich euer gedenke

Doy gracias á mi Dios en toda memoria de vosotros,

I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,

I thank my God whenever I remember you,

immer (stets) in jedem meiner Gebete (jeder Bitte) für euch alle, wobei ich mit Freude(n) das Gebet (tue =) verrichte,

Siempre en todas mis oraciones haciendo oración por todos vosotros con gozo,

Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,

always in every request of mine on behalf of you all, making my requests with joy,

wegen (für) eurer Gemeinschaft für das (am) Evangelium vom ersten Tag bis jetzt,

Por vuestra comunión en el evangelio, desde el primer día hasta ahora:

For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;

for your partnership in furtherance of the Good News from the first day until now;

überzeugt davon (gewiss darin), dass der, der bei euch begonnen hat (den Anfang machte) †das gute Werk, †es zu Ende bringen (beendigen, vollenden) wird bis zum Tage Christi Jesu.

Estando confiado de esto, que el que comenzó en vosotros la buena obra, la perfeccionará hasta el día de Jesucristo;

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.

So ist es (für mich =) in meinen Augen recht (richtig, billig) , dies über euch alle zu denken, weil ich euch im Herzen habe, in meinem Gefängnis und auch in der Verteidigung und Befestigung (festen Begründung) des Evangeliums; ihr seid alle Teilhaber (Genossen) meiner Gnade.

Como me es justo sentir esto de todos vosotros, por cuanto os tengo en el corazón; y en mis prisiones, y en la defensa y confirmación del evangelio, sois todos vosotros compañeros de mi gracia.

Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.

It is even right for me to think this way on behalf of all of you, because I have you in my heart, because both in my bonds and in the defense and confirmation of the Good News, you all are partakers with me of grace.

Denn Gott ist mein Zeuge, wie ich mich nach euch allen sehne in der Liebe (Zuneigung) Christi Jesu.

Porque Dios me es testigo de cómo os amo á todos vosotros en las entrañas de Jesucristo.

For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.

For God is my witness, how I long after all of you in the tender mercies of Christ Jesus.

Und dies erbitte (bitte) ich, damit eure Liebe mehr und mehr wachse in der Erkenntnis und in aller Erfahrung

Y esto ruego, que vuestro amor abunde aun más y más en ciencia y en todo conocimiento,

And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;

damit ihr das, worauf es ankommt (das Wesentliche), prüft, damit ihr lauter und tadellos seid für den (am) Tag Christi,

Para que discernáis lo mejor; que seáis sinceros y sin ofensa para el día de Cristo;

That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ;

so that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense to the day of Christ,

erfüllt von der Frucht der Gerechtigkeit, die durch Jesus Christus †geschaffen ist zu Ehre und Lob Gottes.

Llenos de frutos de justicia, que son por Jesucristo, á gloria y loor de Dios.

Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

Wissen lassen will ich euch aber, Geschwister, dass meine Angelegenheiten eher zur Förderung des Evangeliums ausgeschlagen sind

Y quiero, hermanos, que sepáis que las cosas que me han sucedido, han redundado más en provecho del evangelio;

But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel;

Now I desire to have you know, brothers, that the things which happened to me have turned out rather to the progress of the Good News,

weil nämlich (sodass) meine Gefangenschaft durch Christus bekannt wurde im ganzen Prätorium und bei allen übrigen

De manera que mis prisiones han sido célebres en Cristo en todo el pretorio, y á todos los demás;

So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other places;

so that it became evident to the whole palace guard, and to all the rest, that my bonds are in Christ,

und die meisten der Geschwister im Herrn, weil sie durch meine Gefangenschaft überzeugt waren, hatten in stärkerem Maße (stärker) den Mut (wagten), furchtlos das Wort zu predigen (verkündigen).

Y muchos de los hermanos en el Señor, tomando ánimo con mis prisiones, se atreven mucho más á hablar la palabra sin temor.

And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.

and that most of the brothers in the Lord, being confident through my bonds, are more abundantly bold to speak the word of God without fear.

Einige (Manche) {zwar} verkündigen Christus auch durch Neid und Streit (Hader), einige (manche) {aber} auch durch guten Willen.

Y algunos, á la verdad, predican á Cristo por envidia y porfía; mas algunos también por buena voluntad.

Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will:

Some indeed preach Christ even out of envy and strife, and some also out of good will.

Die einen aus Liebe, weil sie wissen, dass ich zur Verteidigung des Evangeliums bestimmt (eingesetzt) bin,

Los unos anuncian á Cristo por contención, no sinceramente, pensando añadir aflicción á mis prisiones;

The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:

The former insincerely preach Christ from selfish ambition, thinking that they add affliction to my chains;

die anderen verkündigen Christus aus Selbstsucht (Eigennutz), nicht lauter (unlauter), weil sie meinen (denken) †mir in meiner Gefangenschaft Trübsal (Kummer) zu bereiten.

Pero los otros por amor, sabiendo que soy puesto por la defensa del evangelio.

But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.

but the latter out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the Good News.

Was denn? Außer dass auf jede Weise, sei es unter einem Vorwand, sei es in Wahrheit, Christus verkündigt wird, und darüber freue ich mich. Aber ich werde mich auch freuen,

¿Qué pues? Que no obstante, en todas maneras, ó por pretexto ó por verdad, es anunciado Cristo; y en esto me huelgo, y aun me holgaré.

What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.

What does it matter? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed. I rejoice in this, yes, and will rejoice.

denn ich weiß, dass mir dies zur Rettung (Heil, Erlösung) ausschlagen wird durch eure Bitten und †durch Unterstützung des Geistes Jesu Christi,

Porque sé que esto se me tornará á salud, por vuestra oración, y por la suministración del Espíritu de Jesucristo;

For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

For I know that this will turn out to my salvation through your prayers and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

gemäß (entsprechend) meiner sehnsüchtigen Erwartung und Hoffnung, dass ich in keiner Weise (in nichts) beschämt (zuschanden) werde, sondern frei (offen, in aller Öffentlichkeit), wie immer, so auch jetzt Christus durch meinen Leib verherrlicht wird, sei es durchs Leben, sei es durch den Tod.

Conforme á mi mira y esperanza, que en nada seré confundido; antes bien con toda confianza, como siempre, ahora también será engrandecido Cristo en mi cuerpo, ó por vida, ó por muerte.

According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.

Denn für mich †ist zu leben Christus, und zu sterben Gewinn.

Porque para mí el vivir es Cristo, y el morir es ganancia.

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

Wenn es aber das Leben im Fleisch †ist, †ist, bedeutet dies für mich Frucht der Arbeit (= Arbeitsertrag), und was ich vorziehe, weiß ich nicht.

Mas si el vivir en la carne, esto me será para fruto de la obra, no sé entonces qué escoger;

But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not.

But if I live on in the flesh, this will bring fruit from my work; yet I don’t know what I will choose.

Von beiden †Seiten aber werde ich angefochten (gequält), ich habe Verlangen, aufzubrechen (abzuscheiden) und mit Christus zu sein, †wie viel besser {nämlich} †wäre das!

Porque de ambas cosas estoy puesto en estrecho, teniendo deseo de ser desatado, y estar con Cristo, lo cual es mucho mejor:

For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:

But I am hard pressed between the two, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better.

Aber das Bleiben im Fleisch ist nötiger euretwegen.

Empero quedar en la carne es más necesario por causa de vosotros.

Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.

Yet to remain in the flesh is more needful for your sake.

Und dies weiß ich gewiss, dass ich bleibe und bleiben werde bei euch allen zu eurer Förderung und †zur Freude des Glaubens,

Y confiado en esto, sé que quedaré, que aun permaneceré con todos vosotros, para provecho vuestro y gozo de la fe;

And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith;

Having this confidence, I know that I will remain, yes, and remain with you all for your progress and joy in the faith,

damit das, was zu eurem Ruhm gesagt wird (wörtl.: das Loblied), in Christus Jesus im Überfluss vorhanden ist durch mich, (durch meine Anwesenheit wiederum bei euch =) dadurch, dass ich wiederum zu euch komme.

Para que crezca vuestra gloria de mí en Cristo Jesús por mi venida otra vez á vosotros.

That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again.

that your boasting may abound in Christ Jesus in me through my presence with you again.

Nur (bloß) führt euer Leben würdig des Evangeliums Christi, damit ich, ob ich komme und euch sehe, oder abwesend von euch höre, {dass} ihr in einem Glauben steht, einmütig zusammen für den Glauben des Evangeliums streitet

Solamente que converséis como es digno del evangelio de Cristo; para que, ó sea que vaya á veros, ó que esté ausente, oiga de vosotros que estáis firmes en un mismo espíritu, unánimes combatiendo juntamente por la fe del evangelio,

Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

Only let your way of life be worthy of the Good News of Christ, that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your state, that you stand firm in one spirit, with one soul striving for the faith of the Good News;

und euch nicht einschüchtern lasst in nichts (in keiner Hinsicht) von den Widersachern, was ihnen ein Anzeichen (Beweis) des Verderbens, euch aber der Rettung ist, und das von Gott.

Y en nada intimidados de los que se oponen: que á ellos ciertamente es indicio de perdición, mas á vosotros de salud; y esto de Dios;

And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God.

and in nothing frightened by the adversaries, which is for them a proof of destruction, but to you of salvation, and that from God.

Denn euch wurde geschenkt das für Christus nicht allein an ihn Glauben, sondern auch das für ihn Leiden.

Porque á vosotros es concedido por Cristo, no sólo que creáis en él, sino también que padezcáis por él,

For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;

Because it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in him, but also to suffer on his behalf,

Ihr habt den selben Kampf zu bestehen, wie ihr ihn an mir seht und nun von mir hört.

Teniendo el mismo conflicto que habéis visto en mí, y ahora oís estar en mí.

Having the same conflict which ye saw in me, and now hear to be in me.

having the same conflict which you saw in me and now hear is in me.
