Daher (also) erarbeitet euch, meine Lieben (Geliebten), eure Rettung (euer Heil) mit Furcht und Zittern, wie ihr mir immer (jederzeit) gehorcht habt, nicht wie †etwas, das allein bei meiner Anwesenheit †geschehen würde, sondern jetzt noch viel mehr bei meiner Abwesenheit.

Por tanto, amados míos, como siempre habéis obedecido, no como en mi presencia solamente, sino mucho más ahora en mi ausencia, ocupaos en vuestra salvación con temor y temblor;
