Por tanto, si hay en vosotros alguna consolación en Cristo, si algún refrigerio de amor, si alguna comunión del Espíritu, si algunas entrañas y conmiseraciones,

If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,

Cumplíd mi gozo en que penséis lo mismo, teniendo un mismo amor, siendo unánimes, sintiendo una misma cosa.

Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

Nada hagáis por contienda, o por vana gloria; antes en humildad de espíritu, estimándoos inferiores los unos a los otros,

Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

Haya en vosotros los mismos sentimientos que hubo también en Cristo Jesús:

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

El cual siendo en forma de Dios, no tuvo por rapiña ser igual a Dios;

Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

who, existing in the form of God, didn’t consider equality with God a thing to be grasped,

Mas se despojó a sí mismo, tomando forma de siervo, hecho a semejanza de los hombres;

Sin embargo, se anonadó á sí mismo, tomando forma de siervo, hecho semejante á los hombres;

But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men.

Y hallado en su condición como hombre, se humilló a sí mismo, haciéndose obediente hasta la muerte, y muerte de cruz.

And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Y por lo cual Dios también le ensalzó soberanamente, y le dio nombre que es sobre todo nombre;

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

Y que toda lengua confiese, que Jesu Cristo es Señor para la gloria de Dios el Padre.

And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Por tanto, amados míos, como siempre habéis obedecido, no como en mi presencia solamente, mas aun mucho más ahora en mi ausencia, obrád vuestra propia salud con temor y temblor.

Porque Dios es el que en vosotros obra, así el querer como el hacer, según su buena voluntad.

For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Para que seáis irreprensibles, y sencillos, hijos de Dios, sin culpa, en medio de una raza torcida y perversa, entre los cuales resplandecéis como luminares en el mundo,

That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

Reteniendo la palabra de vida; para que yo pueda gloriarme en el día de Cristo, de que no he corrido en vano, ni trabajado en vano.

Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

Y aunque yo sea sacrificado sobre el sacrificio y servicio de vuestra fe, me huelgo y me regocijo con todos vosotros.

Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.

Y por esto mismo holgáos también vosotros, y regocijáos conmigo.

Mas espero en el Señor Jesús, que os enviaré presto a Timoteo, para que yo también esté de buen ánimo, conociendo vuestro estado.

But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state.

Porque a ninguno tengo tan del mismo ánimo conmigo, que esté sinceramente solícito por vosotros;

For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state.

For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ’s.

Mas vosotros sabéis la prueba que se ha hecho de él, y es, que como hijo con su padre, él ha servido conmigo en el evangelio.

Pero la experiencia de él habéis conocido, que como hijo á padre ha servido conmigo en el evangelio.

But ye know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he hath served with me in the gospel.

But you know that he has proved himself. As a child serves a father, so he served with me in furtherance of the Good News.

Así que a éste espero enviaros, luego que viere como van mis negocios.

Him therefore I hope to send presently, so soon as I shall see how it will go with me.

Mas confío en el Señor que yo mismo también vendré prestamente a vosotros:

Sin embargo tuve por cosa necesaria enviaros a Epafrodito, mi hermano, y compañero, y consiervo mío, mas vuestro mensajero, y el que ministraba a mis necesidades.

Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labour, and fellowsoldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants.

But I thought it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, fellow worker, fellow soldier, and your apostle and servant of my need,

Porque tenía deseo vehemente de ver a todos vosotros; y estaba lleno de pesadumbre de que hubieseis oído que había enfermado.

For he longed after you all, and was full of heaviness, because that ye had heard that he had been sick.

since he longed for you all, and was very troubled because you had heard that he was sick.

Y cierto que enfermó hasta la muerte; mas Dios tuvo misericordia de él; y no solamente de él mas de mí también, para que yo no tuviese tristeza sobre tristeza.

Pues en verdad estuvo enfermo á la muerte: mas Dios tuvo misericordia de él; y no solamente de él, sino aun de mí, para que yo no tuviese tristeza sobre tristeza.

For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.

Así que le envío más presto, para que viéndole otra vez, os regocijéis, y que yo esté con menos tristeza.

I sent him therefore the more carefully, that, when ye see him again, ye may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful.

Recibídle, pues, en el Señor, con todo regocijo; y tenéd en estima a los tales;

Receive him therefore in the Lord with all gladness; and hold such in reputation:

Porque por la obra de Cristo llegó hasta la muerte, exponiendo su vida para suplir vuestra falta en mi servicio.

Because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me.
