Por tanto, si hay para mí alguna consolación en Cristo de parte de vosotros, si algún refrigerio de parte de vuestra caridad, si alguna unión entre nosotros por la participación de un mismo espíritu, si hay entrañas de compasión hacia este preso,
POR tanto, si hay alguna consolación en Cristo; si algún refrigerio de amor; si alguna comunión del Espíritu; si algunas entrañas y misericordias,
If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,

haced cumplido mi gozo, sintiendo todos una misma cosa, teniendo una misma caridad, un mismo espíritu, unos mismos sentimientos,

Porque habéis de tener en vuestros corazones los mismos sentimientos que tuvo Jesucristo en el suyo,
Haya, pues, en vosotros este sentir que hubo también en Cristo Jesús:
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Have this in your mind, which was also in Christ Jesus,
el cual teniendo la naturaleza de Dios, no fue por usurpación, sino por esencia el ser igual a Dios;
El cual, siendo en forma de Dios, no tuvo por usurpación ser igual á Dios:
Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
who, existing in the form of God, didn’t consider equality with God a thing to be grasped,
y no obstante se anonadó a sí mismo tomando la forma o naturaleza de siervo, hecho semejante a los demás hombres, y reducido a la condición de hombre.
Sin embargo, se anonadó á sí mismo, tomando forma de siervo, hecho semejante á los hombres;
But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

Pues Dios es el que obra o produce en vosotros por un puro efecto de su buena voluntad, no sólo querer, sino ejecutar.

Pues ya sabéis vosotros la experiencia que tengo de él, habiéndome servido en la predicación del Evangelio como un hijo al lado de su padre.

But ye know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he hath served with me in the gospel.

Recibidle, pues, con toda alegría en el Señor, y con el honor debido a semejantes personas,

en atención a que por el servicio de Jesu-cristo ha estado a las puertas de la muerte, exponiendo su vida a trueque de suplir lo que vosotros desde ahí no podíais hacer en obsequio mío.
Porque por la obra de Cristo estuvo cercano á la muerte, poniendo su vida para suplir vuestra falta en mi servicio.
Because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me.
because for the work of Christ he came near to death, risking his life to supply that which was lacking in your service toward me.
