And so, my most beloved and most desired brothers, my joy and my crown: stand firm in this way, in the Lord, most beloved.

ASÍ que, hermanos míos amados y deseados, gozo y corona mía, estad así firmes en el Señor, amados.

Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.

Therefore, my brothers, beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, stand firm in the Lord in this way, my beloved.

I ask Euodia, and I beg Syntyche, to have the same understanding in the Lord.

A Euodias ruego, y á Syntychê exhorto, que sientan lo mismo en el Señor.

I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord.

I exhort Euodia, and I exhort Syntyche, to think the same way in the Lord.

And I also ask you, as my genuine companion, to assist those women who have labored with me in the Gospel, with Clement and the rest of my assistants, whose names are in the Book of Life.

Asimismo te ruego también á ti, hermano compañero, ayuda á las que trabajaron juntamente conmigo en el evangelio, con Clemente también, y los demás mis colaboradores, cuyos nombres están en el libro de la vida.

And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.

Yes, I beg you also, true partner, help these women, for they labored with me in the Good News with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again, I say, rejoice.

Gozaos en el Señor siempre: otra vez digo: Que os gocéis.

Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.

Rejoice in the Lord always! Again I will say, “Rejoice!”

Let your modesty be known to all men. The Lord is near.

Vuestra modestia sea conocida de todos los hombres. El Señor está cerca.

Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.

Be anxious about nothing. But in all things, with prayer and supplication, with acts of thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God.

Por nada estéis afanosos; sino sean notorias vuestras peticiones delante de Dios en toda oración y ruego, con hacimiento de gracias.

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.

And so shall the peace of God, which exceeds all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Y la paz de Dios, que sobrepuja todo entendimiento, guardará vuestros corazones y vuestros entendimientos en Cristo Jesús.

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

Concerning the rest, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is chaste, whatever is just, whatever is holy, whatever is worthy to be loved, whatever is of good repute, if there is any virtue, if there is any praiseworthy discipline: meditate on these.

Por lo demás, hermanos, todo lo que es verdadero, todo lo honesto, todo lo justo, todo lo puro, todo lo amable, todo lo que es de buen nombre; si hay virtud alguna, si alguna alabanza, en esto pensad.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report: if there is any virtue and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

All the things that you have learned and accepted and heard and seen in me, do these. And so shall the God of peace be with you.

Lo que aprendisteis y recibisteis y oísteis y visteis en mí, esto haced; y el Dios de paz será con vosotros.

Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

Do the things which you learned, received, heard, and saw in me, and the God of peace will be with you.

Now I rejoice in the Lord exceedingly, because finally, after some time, your feelings for me have flourished again, just as you formerly felt. For you had been preoccupied.

Mas en gran manera me gocé en el Señor de que ya al fin ha reflorecido vuestro cuidado de mí; de lo cual aun estabais solícitos, pero os faltaba la oportunidad.

But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.

But I rejoice in the Lord greatly that now at length you have revived your thought for me; in which you did indeed take thought, but you lacked opportunity.

I am not saying this as if out of need. For I have learned that, in whatever state I am, it is sufficient.

No lo digo en razón de indigencia, pues he aprendido á contentarme con lo que tengo.

Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

Not that I speak because of lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it.

I know how to be humbled, and I know how to abound. I am prepared for anything, anywhere: either to be full or to be hungry, either to have abundance or to endure scarcity.

Sé estar humillado, y sé tener abundancia: en todo y por todo estoy enseñado, así para hartura como para hambre, así para tener abundancia como para padecer necesidad.

I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

I know how to be humbled, and I also know how to abound. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need.

Everything is possible in him who has strengthened me.

Todo lo puedo en Cristo que me fortalece.

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Yet truly, you have done well by sharing in my tribulation.

Sin embargo, bien hicisteis que comunicasteis juntamente á mi tribulación.

Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction.

However you did well that you shared in my affliction.

But you also know, O Philippians, that at the beginning of the Gospel, when I set out from Macedonia, not a single church shared with me in the plan of giving and receiving, except you alone.

Y sabéis también vosotros, oh Filipenses, que al principio del evangelio, cuando partí de Macedonia, ninguna iglesia me comunicó en razón de dar y recibir, sino vosotros solos.

Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.

You yourselves also know, you Philippians, that in the beginning of the Good News, when I departed from Macedonia, no assembly shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving but you only.

For you even sent to Thessalonica, once, and then a second time, for what was useful to me.

Porque aun á Tesalónica me enviasteis lo necesario una y dos veces.

For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.

For even in Thessalonica you sent once and again to my need.

It is not that I am seeking a gift. Instead, I seek the fruit that abounds to your benefit.

No porque busque dádivas; mas busco fruto que abunde en vuestra cuenta.

Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.

Not that I seek for the gift, but I seek for the fruit that increases to your account.

But I have everything in abundance. I have been filled up, having received from Epaphroditus the things that you sent; this is an odor of sweetness, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God.

Empero todo lo he recibido, y tengo abundancia: estoy lleno, habiendo recibido de Epafrodito lo que enviasteis, olor de suavidad, sacrificio acepto, agradable á Dios.

But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.

But I have all things and abound. I am filled, having received from Epaphroditus the things that came from you, a sweet-smelling fragrance, an acceptable and well-pleasing sacrifice to God.

And may my God fulfill all your desires, according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Mi Dios, pues, suplirá todo lo que os falta conforme á sus riquezas en gloria en Cristo Jesús.

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

And to God our Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.

Al Dios pues y Padre nuestro sea gloria por los siglos de los siglos. Amén.
