1La mujer sabia edifica su casa, pero la mujer insensata la está derribando con sus manos.
2El que sigue su camino en justicia, tiene ante sí el temor de Jehová; pero aquel cuyos caminos están retorcidos no le da honor.
3En la boca del hombre necio hay una vara para su espalda, pero los labios de los sabios los mantendrán seguros.
4Donde no hay bueyes, su lugar de comida está vacío; pero mucho aumento viene a través de la fuerza del buey.
5Un testigo verdadero no dice lo que es falso, pero un testigo falso está exhalando engaño.
6El que odia a la autoridad, buscando sabiduría, no la entiende; pero el conocimiento llega fácilmente al hombre inteligente.
7Apártate del necio, porque no hallarás labios del conocimiento.
8La sabiduría del hombre de buen sentido hace que su camino sea claro; pero el comportamiento imprudente de los necios es un engaño.
9En las tiendas de aquellos que odian a la autoridad hay error, pero en la casa del hombre recto hay gracia.
10Nadie tiene conocimiento del dolor de un hombre sino él mismo; y una persona extraña no tiene parte en su alegría.
11La casa del pecador será derribada; pero la tienda del hombre recto hará bien.
12Hay un camino que parece derecho ante un hombre, pero su fin son los caminos de la muerte.
13Incluso mientras se ríe el corazón puede estar triste; y después de la alegría llega el dolor.
14Aquel cuyo corazón se ha apartado tendrá la recompensa de sus caminos en toda su medida; pero un buen hombre tendrá la recompensa de sus obras.
15El hombre simple tiene fe en cada palabra, pero el hombre de buen sentido tiene cuidado de su caminar.
16El hombre sabio, temiendo, se guarda del mal; pero el hombre tonto continúa en su orgullo, sin pensar en el peligro.
17El que se enoja pronto, hará lo que es insensato, pero el hombre de buen juicio callará.
18El comportamiento necio es patrimonio de lo simple, pero los hombres de buen sentido están coronados por el conocimiento.
19Las rodillas del mal se inclinan ante el bien; y los pecadores descienden en el polvo a las puertas de los rectos.
20El pobre es odiado incluso por su prójimo, pero el hombre rico tiene muchos amigos.
21El que no respeta a su prójimo es un pecador, pero el que tiene lástima de los pobres es feliz.
22¿No se equivocarán los que maquinan el mal? Pero la misericordia y la buena fe son para los obradores del bien.
23En todo trabajo duro hay ganancias, pero hablar solo hace que un hombre sea pobre.
24Su sabiduría es una corona para los sabios, pero su comportamiento necio es alrededor de la cabeza de los imprudentes.
25Un verdadero testigo es el salvador de vidas; pero el que dice cosas falsas es una causa de engaño.
26Porque aquel en cuyo corazón está el temor de Jehová, hay una gran esperanza; y sus hijos tendrán un lugar seguro.
27El temor del Señor es una fuente de vida, por la cual uno puede ser apartado de las redes de la muerte.
28La gloria del rey está en el número de su pueblo; y por necesidad del pueblo, un gobernante puede llegar a la destrucción.
29El que tarda en enojarse tiene gran sensatez; pero aquel cuyo espíritu es demasiado rápido enaltece a lo que es tonto.
30Una mente tranquila es la vida del cuerpo, pero la envidia es una enfermedad en los huesos.
31El que es duro con el pobre avergüenza a su Hacedor; pero el que tiene misericordia de los necesitados le da honor.
32El pecador es trastornado en su maldad, pero el hombre recto tiene esperanza en su justicia.
33La sabiduría tiene su lugar de descanso en la mente de los sabios, pero ella no se ve entre los necios.
34Por la justicia una nación se enaltece, pero el pecado es motivo de vergüenza para los pueblos.
35El rey se complace en un siervo que hace sabiamente, pero su ira es contra el que es motivo de vergüenza.

1LA mujer sabia edifica su casa: mas la necia con sus manos la derriba.
2El que camina en su rectitud teme á Jehová: mas el pervertido en sus caminos lo menosprecia.
3En la boca del necio está la vara de la soberbia: mas los labios de los sabios los guardarán.
4Sin bueyes el granero está limpio: mas por la fuerza del buey hay abundancia de pan.
5El testigo verdadero no mentirá: mas el testigo falso hablará mentiras.
6Busca el escarnecedor la sabiduría, y no la halla: mas la sabiduría al hombre entendido es fácil.
7Vete de delante del hombre necio, porque en él no advertirás labios de ciencia.
8La ciencia del cuerdo es entender su camino: mas la indiscreción de los necios es engaño.
9Los necios se mofan del pecado: mas entre los rectos hay favor.
10El corazón conoce la amargura de su alma; y extraño no se entrometerá en su alegría.
11La casa de los impíos será asolada: mas florecerá la tienda de los rectos.
12Hay camino que al hombre parece derecho; empero su fin son caminos de muerte.
13Aun en la risa tendrá dolor el corazón; y el término de la alegría es congoja.
14De sus caminos será harto el apartado de razón: y el hombre de bien estará contento del suyo.
15El simple cree á toda palabra: mas el avisado entiende sus pasos.
16El sabio teme, y se aparta del mal: mas el necio se arrebata, y confía.
17El que presto se enoja, hará locura: y el hombre malicioso será aborrecido.
18Los simples heredarán necedad: mas los cuerdos se coronarán de sabiduría.
19Los malos se inclinarán delante de los buenos, y los impíos á las puertas del justo.
20El pobre es odioso aun á su amigo: pero muchos son los que aman al rico.
21Peca el que menosprecia á su prójimo: mas el que tiene misericordia de los pobres, es bienaventurado.
22¿No yerran los que piensan mal? Misericordia empero y verdad alcanzarán los que piensan bien.
23En toda labor hay fruto: mas la palabra de los labios solamente empobrece.
24Las riquezas de los sabios son su corona: mas es infatuación la insensatez de los necios.
25El testigo verdadero libra las almas: mas el engañoso hablará mentiras.
26En el temor de Jehová está la fuerte confianza; y esperanza tendrán sus hijos.
27El temor de Jehová es manantial de vida, para apartarse de los lazos de la muerte.
28En la multitud de pueblo está la gloria del rey: y en la falta de pueblo la flaqueza del príncipe.
29El que tarde se aira, es grande de entendimiento: mas el corto de espíritu engrandece el desatino.
30El corazón apacible es vida de las carnes: mas la envidia, pudrimiento de huesos.
31El que oprime al pobre, afrenta á su Hacedor: mas el que tiene misericordia del pobre, lo honra.
32Por su maldad será lanzado el impío: mas el justo en su muerte tiene esperanza.
33En el corazón del cuerdo reposa la sabiduría; y es conocida en medio de los necios.
34La justicia engrandece la nación: mas el pecado es afrenta de las naciones.
35La benevolencia del rey es para con el ministro entendido: mas su enojo contra el que lo avergüenza.

1Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.
2He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the LORD: but he that is perverse in his ways despiseth him.
3In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve them.
4Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox.
5A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies.
6A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easy unto him that understandeth.
7Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge.
8The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is deceit.
9Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour.
10The heart knoweth his own bitterness; and a stranger doth not intermeddle with his joy.
11The house of the wicked shall be overthrown: but the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish.
12There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
13Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth is heaviness.
14The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself.
15The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.
16A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident.
17He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated.

10The heart knows its own bitterness and joy; he will not share these with a stranger.
11The house of the wicked will be overthrown, but the tent of the upright will flourish.
12There is a way which seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.
13Even in laughter the heart may be sorrowful, and mirth may end in heaviness.
14The unfaithful will be repaid for his own ways; likewise a good man will be rewarded for his ways.
