Mejor es tener un espíritu gentil con los pobres, que tomar parte en las recompensas de la guerra con los hombres de orgullo.

Mejor es humillar el espíritu con los humildes, que partir despojos con los soberbios.

Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.

It is better to be of a lowly spirit with the poor, than to divide the plunder with the proud.
