Le bon sens est, pour qui le possède, une source de vie, Mais le châtiment des sots, c'est la sottise.

Manantial de vida es el entendimiento al que lo posee: mas la erudición de los necios es necedad.

Understanding is a wellspring of life unto him that hath it: but the instruction of fools is folly.

Understanding is a fountain of life to one who has it, but the punishment of fools is their folly.
