Proverbios 16
Diodati 1885
1Le disposizioni dell'animo son dell'uomo; Ma la risposta della lingua è dal Signore.
2Tutte le vie dell'uomo gli paiono pure; Ma il Signore pesa gli spiriti.
3Rimetti le tue opere nel Signore, E i tuoi pensieri saranno stabiliti.
4Il Signore ha fatto ogni cosa per sè stesso; Eziandio l'empio per lo giorno del male.
5Chiunque è altiero d'animo è abbominevole al Signore; D'ora in ora egli non resterà impunito.
6L'iniquità sarà purgata con benignità, e con verità; E per lo timor del Signore l'uomo si ritrae dal male.
7Quando il Signore gradisce le vie dell'uomo, Pacifica con lui eziandio i suoi nemici.
8Meglio vale poco con giustizia, Che grandi entrate senza dirittura.
9Il cuor dell'uomo delibera della sua via; Ma il Signore dirizza i suoi passi.
10Indovinamento è nelle labbra del re; La sua bocca non falla nel giudicio.
11La stadera, e le bilance giuste son del Signore; Tutti i pesi del sacchetto son sua opera.
12Operare empiamente è abbominevole ai re; Perciocchè il trono sarà stabilito per giustizia.
13Le labbra giuste son quelle che i re gradiscono; Ed essi amano chi parla dirittamente.
14L'ira del re son messi di morte; Ma l'uomo savio la placherà.
15Nella chiarezza della faccia del re vi è vita; E la sua benevolenza è come la nuvola della pioggia della stagione della ricolta.
16Quant'è egli cosa migliore acquistar sapienza che oro! E quant'è egli cosa più eccellente acquistar prudenza che argento!
17La strada degli uomini diritti è di stornarsi dal male; Chi osserva la sua via guarda l'anima sua.
18La superbia viene davanti alla ruina, E l'alterezza dello spirito davanti alla caduta.
19Meglio è essere umile di spirito co' mansueti, Che spartir le spoglie con gli altieri.
20Chi è intendente nella parola troverà bene; E beato chi si confida nel Signore.
21Il savio di cuore sarà chiamato intendente; E la dolcezza delle labbra aggiugnerà dottrina.
22Il senno è una fonte di vita in coloro che ne son dotati; Ma l'ammaestramento degli stolti è stoltizia.
23Il cuor dell'uomo savio rende avveduta la sua bocca, E aggiunge dottrina alle sue labbra.
24I detti soavi sono un favo di miele, Dolcezza all'anima, e medicina alle ossa.
25Vi è tal via che pare diritta all'uomo, Il fine della quale son le vie della morte.
26L'anima di chi si affatica si affatica per lui stesso; Perciocchè la sua bocca lo preme.
27L'uomo scellerato apparecchia del male; E in su le sue labbra vi è come un fuoco ardente.
28L'uomo perverso commette contese; E chi va sparlando disunisce gli amici.
29L'uomo violento seduce il suo compagno, E lo conduce per una via che non è buona.
30Chi chiude gli occhi macchinando perversità, Dimena le labbra quando ha compiuto il male.
31La canutezza è una corona gloriosa; Ella si troverà nella via della giustizia.
32Meglio vale chi è lento all'ira, che il forte; E meglio vale chi signoreggia il suo cruccio, che un prenditor di città.
33La sorte è gittata nel grembo; Ma dal Signore procede tutto il giudicio di essa.

1DEL hombre son las disposiciones del corazón: mas de Jehová la respuesta de la lengua.
2Todos los caminos del hombre son limpios en su opinión: mas Jehová pesa los espíritus.
3Encomienda á Jehová tus obras, y tus pensamientos serán afirmados.
4Todas las cosas ha hecho Jehová por sí mismo, y aun al impío para el día malo.
5Abominación es á Jehová todo altivo de corazón: aunque esté mano sobre mano, no será reputado inocente.
6Con misericordia y verdad se corrige el pecado: y con el temor de Jehová se apartan del mal los hombres.
7Cuando los caminos del hombre son agradables á Jehová, aun á sus enemigos pacificará con él.
8Mejor es lo poco con justicia, que la muchedumbre de frutos sin derecho.
9El corazón del hombre piensa su camino: mas Jehová endereza sus pasos.
10Adivinación está en los labios del rey: en juicio no prevaricará su boca.
11Peso y balanzas justas son de Jehová: obra suya son todas las pesas de la bolsa.
12Abominación es á los reyes hacer impiedad: porque con justicia será afirmado el trono.
13Los labios justos son el contentamiento de los reyes; y aman al que habla lo recto.
14La ira del rey es mensajero de muerte: mas el hombre sabio la evitará.
15En la alegría del rostro del rey está la vida; y su benevolencia es como nube de lluvia tardía.
16Mejor es adquirir sabiduría que oro preciado; y adquirir inteligencia vale más que la plata.
17El camino de los rectos es apartarse del mal: su alma guarda el que guarda su camino.
18Antes del quebrantamiento es la soberbia; y antes de la caída la altivez de espíritu.
19Mejor es humillar el espíritu con los humildes, que partir despojos con los soberbios.
20El entendido en la palabra, hallará el bien: y el que confía en Jehová, él es bienaventurado.
21El sabio de corazón es llamado entendido: y la dulzura de labios aumentará la doctrina.
22Manantial de vida es el entendimiento al que lo posee: mas la erudición de los necios es necedad.
23El corazón del sabio hace prudente su boca; y con sus labios aumenta la doctrina.
24Panal de miel son los dichos suaves: suavidad al alma y medicina á los huesos.
25Hay camino que parece derecho al hombre, mas su salida son caminos de muerte.
26El alma del que trabaja, trabaja para sí; porque su boca le constriñe.
27El hombre perverso cava el mal; y en sus labios hay como llama de fuego.
28El hombre perverso levanta contienda; y el chismoso aparta los mejores amigos.
29El hombre malo lisonjea á su prójimo, y le hace andar por el camino no bueno:
30Cierra sus ojos para pensar perversidades; mueve sus labios, efectúa el mal.
31Corona de honra es la vejez, que se hallará en el camino de justicia.
32Mejor es el que tarde se aira que el fuerte; y el que se enseñorea de su espíritu, que el que toma una ciudad.
33La suerte se echa en el seno: mas de Jehová es el juicio de ella.

1The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD.
2All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits.
3Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.
4The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.
5Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.
6By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.
7When a man’s ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.
8Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right.
9A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.
10A divine sentence is in the lips of the king: his mouth transgresseth not in judgment.
11A just weight and balance are the LORD’s: all the weights of the bag are his work.
12It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is established by righteousness.
13Righteous lips are the delight of kings; and they love him that speaketh right.
14The wrath of a king is as messengers of death: but a wise man will pacify it.
15In the light of the king’s countenance is life; and his favour is as a cloud of the latter rain.
16How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!
17The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.
18Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
19Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.
20He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy is he.
21The wise in heart shall be called prudent: and the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning.
22Understanding is a wellspring of life unto him that hath it: but the instruction of fools is folly.
23The heart of the wise teacheth his mouth, and addeth learning to his lips.
24Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.
25There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
26He that laboureth laboureth for himself; for his mouth craveth it of him.
27An ungodly man diggeth up evil: and in his lips there is as a burning fire.
28A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends.
29A violent man enticeth his neighbour, and leadeth him into the way that is not good.
30He shutteth his eyes to devise froward things: moving his lips he bringeth evil to pass.
31The hoary head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness.
32He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.
33The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof is of the LORD.

1The plans of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the LORD.
2All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes, but the LORD weighs the motives.
3Commit your deeds to the LORD, and your plans shall succeed.
4The LORD has made everything for its own end— yes, even the wicked for the day of evil.
5Everyone who is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD; they shall certainly not be unpunished.
6By mercy and truth iniquity is atoned for. By the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.
7When a man’s ways please the LORD, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

26The appetite of the laboring man labors for him, for his mouth urges him on.
27A worthless man devises mischief. His speech is like a scorching fire.
28A perverse man stirs up strife. A whisperer separates close friends.
29A man of violence entices his neighbor, and leads him in a way that is not good.
30One who winks his eyes to plot perversities, one who compresses his lips, is bent on evil.
31Gray hair is a crown of glory. It is attained by a life of righteousness.
32One who is slow to anger is better than the mighty; one who rules his spirit, than he who takes a city.
33The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the LORD.
