Proverbios 17

As a precious stone appeareth a bribe in the eyes of him that obtaineth it: whithersoever it turneth, it prospereth.

Piedra preciosa es el cohecho en ojos de sus dueños: á donde quiera que se vuelve, da prosperidad.

A gift is as a precious stone in the eyes of him that hath it: whithersoever it turneth, it prospereth.

A bribe is a precious stone in the eyes of him who gives it; wherever he turns, he prospers.
