Tú, ¡oh hijo mío!, escucha las correcciones de tu padre, y no deseches las advertencias de tu madre.

Oye, hijo mío, la doctrina de tu padre, y no desprecies la dirección de tu madre:

My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:

My son, listen to your father’s instruction, and don’t forsake your mother’s teaching;
