Have not I written to thee excellent things in counsels and knowledge,
Haven’t I written to you thirty excellent things of counsel and knowledge,
para te ensinar a certeza das palavras da verdade, para que possas responder palavras de verdade aos que te enviarem?
Para hacerte saber la certidumbre de las razones verdaderas, para que puedas responder razones de verdad á los que á ti enviaren?
That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth; that thou mightest answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee?
To teach you truth, reliable words, to give sound answers to the ones who sent you?
Não roubes ao pobre, porque ele é pobre; nem oprimas ao aflito junto à porta do julgamento.
No robes al pobre, porque es pobre, ni quebrantes en la puerta al afligido:
Rob not the poor, because he is poor: neither oppress the afflicted in the gate:
Don’t exploit the poor because he is poor; and don’t crush the needy in court;
Porque o SENHOR defenderá a causa deles em juízo, e quanto aos que os roubam, ele lhes roubará a alma.
Porque Jehová juzgará la causa de ellos, y despojará el alma de aquellos que los despojaren.
For the LORD will plead their cause, and spoil the soul of those that spoiled them.

Para que não aprendas o caminho dele, e te ponhas em armadilhas para tua alma.
Porque no aprendas sus maneras, y tomes lazo para tu alma.
Lest thou learn his ways, and get a snare to thy soul.

Não estejas entre os que se comprometem em acordos com as mãos, ou os que ficam por fiadores de dívidas.
No estés entre los que tocan la mano, entre los que fían por deudas.
Be not thou one of them that strike hands, or of them that are sureties for debts.

Se não tens como pagar, por que razão tirariam tua cama debaixo de ti?
Si no tuvieres para pagar, ¿por qué han de quitar tu cama de debajo de ti?
If thou hast nothing to pay, why should he take away thy bed from under thee?
If you don’t have means to pay, why should he take away your bed from under you?
Não mudes os limites antigos que teus pais fizeram.
No traspases el término antiguo que pusieron tus padres.
Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set.
Don’t move the ancient boundary stone which your fathers have set up.
Viste um homem habilidoso em sua obra? Perante a face dos reis ele será posto; ele não será posto diante de pessoas sem honra.
¿Has visto hombre solícito en su obra? delante de los reyes estará; no estará delante de los de baja suerte.
Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.
Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will serve kings. He won’t serve obscure men.
