Ne porte point d’envie aux hommes malins, et ne désire point d’être avec eux.
NO tengas envidia de los hombres malos, ni desees estar con ellos:
Be not thou envious against evil men, neither desire to be with them.

Car leur coeur pense à piller, et leurs lèvres parlent de nuire.
Porque su corazón piensa en robar, é iniquidad hablan sus labios.
For their heart studieth destruction, and their lips talk of mischief.

La maison sera bâtie par la sagesse, et sera affermie par l’intelligence.
Con sabiduría se edificará la casa, y con prudencia se afirmará:
Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established:
Through wisdom a house is built; by understanding it is established;
Et par la science les cabinets seront remplis de tous les biens précieux et agréables.
Y con ciencia se henchirán las cámaras de todo bien preciado y agradable.
And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.
by knowledge the rooms are filled with all rare and beautiful treasure.
L’homme sage est accompagné de force, et l’homme qui a de l’intelligence renforce la puissance.
El hombre sabio es fuerte; y de pujante vigor el hombre docto.
A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.
A wise man has great power. A knowledgeable man increases strength,
Car par la prudence tu feras la guerre avantageusement, et la délivrance consiste dans le nombre des conseillers.
Porque con ingenio harás la guerra: y la salud está en la multitud de consejeros.
For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety.
for by wise guidance you wage your war, and victory is in many advisors.
Il n’y a point de sagesse qui ne soit trop haute pour le fou ; il n’ouvrira point sa bouche à la porte.
Alta está para el insensato la sabiduría: en la puerta no abrirá él su boca.

Celui qui pense à faire mal, on l’appellera, Songe-malice.
Al que piensa mal hacer le llamarán hombre de malos pensamientos.
He that deviseth to do evil shall be called a mischievous person.
One who plots to do evil will be called a schemer.
Le discours de la folie n’est que péché, et le moqueur est en abomination à l’homme.
El pensamiento del necio es pecado: y abominación á los hombres el escarnecedor.
The thought of foolishness is sin: and the scorner is an abomination to men.
The schemes of folly are sin. The mocker is detested by men.
Si tu as perdu courage dans la calamité, ta force s’est diminuée.
Si fueres flojo en el día de trabajo, tu fuerza será reducida.
If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.
If you falter in the time of trouble, your strength is small.
Si tu te retiens pour ne délivrer point ceux qui sont traînés à la mort, et qui sont sur le point d’être tués,
Si dejares de librar los que son tomados para la muerte, y los que son llevados al degolladero;
If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain;
Rescue those who are being led away to death! Indeed, hold back those who are staggering to the slaughter!
Parce que tu diras : Voici, nous n’en avons rien su ; celui qui pèse les coeurs ne l’entendra-t-il point ? et celui qui garde ton âme, ne le saura-t-il point ? et ne rendra-t-il point à chacun selon son oeuvre ?
Si dijeres: Ciertamente no lo supimos; ¿no lo entenderá el que pesa los corazones? El que mira por tu alma, él lo conocerá, y dará al hombre según sus obras.
If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works?
If you say, “Behold, we didn’t know this,” doesn’t he who weighs the hearts consider it? He who keeps your soul, doesn’t he know it? Shall he not give to every man according to his work?
Mon fils, mange le miel, car il est bon ; et le rayon de miel, car il est doux à ton palais.
Come, hijo mío, de la miel, porque es buena, y del panal dulce á tu paladar:
My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste:
My son, eat honey, for it is good, the droppings of the honeycomb, which are sweet to your taste;
Ainsi sera à ton âme la connaissance de la sagesse, quand tu l’auras trouvée ; et il y aura une bonne issue, et ton attente ne sera point retranchée.
Tal será el conocimiento de la sabiduría á tu alma: si la hallares tendrá recompensa, y al fin tu esperanza no será cortada.
So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.
so you shall know wisdom to be to your soul. If you have found it, then there will be a reward: Your hope will not be cut off.
Méchant, n’épie point le domicile du juste, et ne détruis point son gîte.
Oh impío, no aceches la tienda del justo, no saquees su cámara;
Lay not wait, O wicked man, against the dwelling of the righteous; spoil not his resting place:
Don’t lay in wait, wicked man, against the habitation of the righteous. Don’t destroy his resting place;
Car le juste tombera sept fois, et sera relevé ; mais les méchants tombent dans le mal.
Porque siete veces cae el justo, y se torna á levantar; mas los impíos caerán en el mal.
For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.
for a righteous man falls seven times and rises up again, but the wicked are overthrown by calamity.
Quand ton ennemi sera tombé, ne t’en réjouis point ; et quand il sera renversé, que ton coeur ne s’en égaye point ;
Cuando cayere tu enemigo, no te huelgues; y cuando tropezare, no se alegre tu corazón:
Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth:
Don’t rejoice when your enemy falls. Don’t let your heart be glad when he is overthrown,
De peur que l’Eternel ne le voie, et que cela ne lui déplaise, tellement qu’il détourne de dessus lui sa colère sur toi.
Porque Jehová no lo mire, y le desagrade, y aparte de sobre él su enojo.
Lest the LORD see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him.

Ne te dépite point à cause des gens malins ; ne porte point d’envie aux méchants ;
No te entrometas con los malignos, ni tengas envidia de los impíos;
Fret not thyself because of evil men, neither be thou envious at the wicked;
Don’t fret yourself because of evildoers, neither be envious of the wicked;
Car il n’y aura point de bonne issue pour le méchant, et la lampe des méchants sera éteinte.
Porque para el malo no habrá buen fin, y la candela de los impíos será apagada.
For there shall be no reward to the evil man; the candle of the wicked shall be put out.
for there will be no reward to the evil man. The lamp of the wicked will be snuffed out.
Mon fils, crains l’Eternel, et le Roi ; et ne te mêle point avec des gens remuants.
Teme á Jehová, hijo mío, y al rey; no te entrometas con los veleidosos:
My son, fear thou the LORD and the king: and meddle not with them that are given to change:
My son, fear the LORD and the king. Don’t join those who are rebellious,
Car leur calamité s’élèvera tout d’un coup ; et qui sait l’inconvénient qui arrivera à ces deux-là ?
Porque su quebrantamiento se levantará de repente; y el quebrantamiento de ambos, ¿quién lo comprende?
For their calamity shall rise suddenly; and who knoweth the ruin of them both?
for their calamity will rise suddenly. Who knows what destruction may come from them both?
Ces choses aussi sont pour les sages. Il n’est pas bon d’avoir égard à l’apparence des personnes en jugement.
También estas cosas pertenecen á los sabios. Tener respeto á personas en el juicio no es bueno.
These things also belong to the wise. It is not good to have respect of persons in judgment.
These also are sayings of the wise: To show partiality in judgment is not good.
Celui qui dit au méchant : Tu es juste, les peuples le maudiront, et les nations l’auront en détestation.
El que dijere al malo, Justo eres, los pueblos lo maldecirán, y le detestarán las naciones:
He that saith unto the wicked, Thou art righteous; him shall the people curse, nations shall abhor him:
He who says to the wicked, “You are righteous,” peoples will curse him, and nations will abhor him—
Mais pour ceux qui le reprennent, ils en retireront de la satisfaction, et la bénédiction que les biens accompagnent se répandra sur eux.
Mas los que lo reprenden, serán agradables, y sobre ellos vendrá bendición de bien.
But to them that rebuke him shall be delight, and a good blessing shall come upon them.
but it will go well with those who convict the guilty, and a rich blessing will come on them.
Celui qui répond avec justesse fait plaisir à celui qui l’écoute.
Besados serán los labios del que responde palabras rectas.
Every man shall kiss his lips that giveth a right answer.
An honest answer is like a kiss on the lips.
Range ton ouvrage dehors, et l’apprête au champ qui est à toi, et puis bâtis ta maison.
Apresta tu obra de afuera, y disponla en tu heredad; y después edificarás tu casa.
Prepare thy work without, and make it fit for thyself in the field; and afterwards build thine house.
Prepare your work outside, and get your fields ready. Afterwards, build your house.
Ne sois point témoin contre ton prochain, sans qu’il en soit besoin ; car voudrais-tu t’en faire croire par tes lèvres ?
No seas sin causa testigo contra tu prójimo; y no lisonjees con tus labios.
Be not a witness against thy neighbour without cause; and deceive not with thy lips.
Don’t be a witness against your neighbor without cause. Don’t deceive with your lips.
Ne dis point : comme il m’a fait, ainsi lui ferai-je ; je rendrai à cet homme selon ce qu’il m’a fait.
No digas: Como me hizo, así le haré; daré el pago al hombre según su obra.
Say not, I will do so to him as he hath done to me: I will render to the man according to his work.
Don’t say, “I will do to him as he has done to me; I will repay the man according to his work.”
J’ai passé près du champ de l’homme paresseux, et près de la vigne de l’homme dépourvu de sens ;
Pasé junto á la heredad del hombre perezoso, y junto á la viña del hombre falto de entendimiento;
I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding;
I went by the field of the sluggard, by the vineyard of the man void of understanding.
Et voilà, tout y était monté en chardons, et les orties avaient couvert le dessus, et sa cloison de pierres était démolie.

Et ayant vu cela, je le mis dans mon coeur, je le regardai, j’en reçus de l’instruction.
Y yo miré, y púselo en mi corazón: vilo, y tomé consejo.

Et ta pauvreté viendra comme un passant ; et ta disette, comme un soldat.
Así vendrá como caminante tu necesidad, y tu pobreza como hombre de escudo.
So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth; and thy want as an armed man.
so your poverty will come as a robber and your want as an armed man.
