Proverbios 27

Como o crisol é para a prata, e o forno para o ouro, assim o homem é provado pelos louvores que lhe dizem.

El crisol prueba la plata, y la hornaza el oro: y al hombre la boca del que lo alaba.

As the fining pot for silver, and the furnace for gold; so is a man to his praise.

The crucible is for silver, and the furnace for gold; but man is refined by his praise.
