1Un hombre que odia las palabras de reprensión endurece su corazón, de repente será destruido y no se recuperará.
2Cuando los rectos tienen poder, la gente está contenta; cuando un hombre malo es el gobernante, la pena llega a la gente.
3Un hombre amante de la sabiduría es un gozo para su padre; pero el que va en compañía de prostitutas es un derrochador de riquezas.
4Un rey, por regla correcta, hace que la tierra sea segura; pero uno lleno de deseos la convierte en un desperdicio.
5Un hombre que siempre adula a su vecino extiende una red para sus pasos.
6En los pasos de un hombre malo hay una red para él, pero el hombre recto escapa rápidamente y está contento.
7El hombre recto presta atención a la causa de los pobres: el malvado no piensa en ello.
8Los hombres de orgullo son la causa de los actos violentos en una ciudad, pero hombres sabios alejan la ira de los hombres.
9Si un hombre sabio va a la ley con un hombre necio, puede estar enojado o reírse, pero no habrá descanso.
10Los sanguinarios odian al hombre bueno, y los malvados van tras su alma.
11Un hombre necio deja salir toda su ira, pero un hombre sabio lo guarda silenciosamente.
12Si un gobernante presta atención a las palabras falsas, todos sus siervos son malvados.
13El pobre y su acreedor se encuentran cara a cara: el Señor ilumina sus ojos por igual.
14El rey que es un verdadero juez en la causa de los pobres, estará a salvo para siempre en el trono de su poder.
15La vara y las palabras de corrección dan sabiduría; pero un niño que no es guiado es motivo de vergüenza para su madre.
16Cuando los hombres malvados están en el poder, aumentan las maldades; pero los rectos tendrán placer cuando vean su caída.
17Entrena a tu hijo, y él te dará descanso; Él deleitará tu alma.
18Donde no hay visión, las personas están descontroladas; pero el que guarda la ley será feliz.
19Un siervo no será entrenado por las palabras; porque aunque el sentido de las palabras es claro para él, no le dará atención.
20¿Has visto a un hombre que es rápido con su lengua? Hay más esperanza para un hombre tonto que para él.
21Si un sirviente es cuidado suavemente desde sus primeros años, al final se convertirá en una causa de dolor.
22Un hombre enojado es la causa de la contienda, y un hombre dado a la ira hace mucho mal.
23El orgullo de un hombre será la causa de su caída, pero el que tiene un espíritu apacible recibirá honor.
24Un hombre que toma parte con un ladrón tiene odio por su alma; él es puesto bajo juramento, pero no dice nada.
25El temor del hombre es causa de peligro; pero el que pone su fe en el Señor tendrá un lugar seguro en lo alto.
26La aprobación de un gobernante es deseada por grandes números: pero la decisión en la causa de un hombre viene del Señor.
27El hombre malo es repugnante para los rectos, y el que es recto es repugnante para los malvados.

1EL hombre que reprendido endurece la cerviz, de repente será quebrantado; ni habrá para él medicina.
2Cuando los justos dominan, el pueblo se alegra: mas cuando domina el impío, el pueblo gime.
3El hombre que ama la sabiduría, alegra á su padre: mas el que mantiene rameras, perderá la hacienda.
4El rey con el juicio afirma la tierra: mas el hombre de presentes la destruirá.
5El hombre que lisonjea á su prójimo, red tiende delante de sus pasos.
6En la prevaricación del hombre malo hay lazo: mas el justo cantará y se alegrará.
7Conoce el justo la causa de los pobres: mas el impío no entiende sabiduría.
8Los hombres escarnecedores enlazan la ciudad: mas los sabios apartan la ira.
9Si el hombre sabio contendiere con el necio, que se enoje ó que se ría, no tendrá reposo.
10Los hombres sanguinarios aborrecen al perfecto: mas los rectos buscan su contentamiento.
11El necio da suelta á todo su espíritu; mas el sabio al fin le sosiega.
12Del señor que escucha la palabra mentirosa, todos sus ministros son impíos.
13El pobre y el usurero se encontraron: Jehová alumbra los ojos de ambos.
14El rey que juzga con verdad á los pobres, su trono será firme para siempre.
15La vara y la corrección dan sabiduría: mas el muchacho consentido avergonzará á su madre.
16Cuando los impíos son muchos, mucha es la prevaricación; mas los justos verán la ruina de ellos.
17Corrige á tu hijo, y te dará descanso, y dará deleite á tu alma.
18Sin profecía el pueblo será disipado: mas el que guarda la ley, bienaventurado él.
19El siervo no se corregirá con palabras: porque entiende, mas no corresponde.
20¿Has visto hombre ligero en sus palabras? más esperanza hay del necio que de él.
21El que regala á su siervo desde su niñez, á la postre será su hijo.
22El hombre iracundo levanta contiendas; y el furioso muchas veces peca.
23La soberbia del hombre le abate; pero al humilde de espíritu sustenta la honra.
24El aparcero del ladrón aborrece su vida; oirá maldiciones, y no lo denunciará.
25El temor del hombre pondrá lazo: mas el que confía en Jehová será levantado.
26Muchos buscan el favor del príncipe: mas de Jehová viene el juicio de cada uno.
27Abominación es á los justos el hombre inicuo; y abominación es al impío el de rectos caminos.

1He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.
2When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.
3Whoso loveth wisdom rejoiceth his father: but he that keepeth company with harlots spendeth his substance.
4The king by judgment establisheth the land: but he that receiveth gifts overthroweth it.
5A man that flattereth his neighbour spreadeth a net for his feet.
6In the transgression of an evil man there is a snare: but the righteous doth sing and rejoice.
7The righteous considereth the cause of the poor: but the wicked regardeth not to know it.
8Scornful men bring a city into a snare: but wise men turn away wrath.
9If a wise man contendeth with a foolish man, whether he rage or laugh, there is no rest.
10The bloodthirsty hate the upright: but the just seek his soul.
11A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.
12If a ruler hearken to lies, all his servants are wicked.
13The poor and the deceitful man meet together: the LORD lighteneth both their eyes.
14The king that faithfully judgeth the poor, his throne shall be established for ever.
15The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.
16When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increaseth: but the righteous shall see their fall.
17Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul.
18Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
19A servant will not be corrected by words: for though he understand he will not answer.
20Seest thou a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope of a fool than of him.
21He that delicately bringeth up his servant from a child shall have him become his son at the length.
22An angry man stirreth up strife, and a furious man aboundeth in transgression.
23A man’s pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.
24Whoso is partner with a thief hateth his own soul: he heareth cursing, and bewrayeth it not.

1He who is often rebuked and stiffens his neck will be destroyed suddenly, with no remedy.
2When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people groan.
3Whoever loves wisdom brings joy to his father; but a companion of prostitutes squanders his wealth.
4The king by justice makes the land stable, but he who takes bribes tears it down.
5A man who flatters his neighbor spreads a net for his feet.
6An evil man is snared by his sin, but the righteous can sing and be glad.
7The righteous care about justice for the poor. The wicked aren’t concerned about knowledge.
8Mockers stir up a city, but wise men turn away anger.
9If a wise man goes to court with a foolish man, the fool rages or scoffs, and there is no peace.
10The bloodthirsty hate a man of integrity; and they seek the life of the upright.
11A fool vents all of his anger, but a wise man brings himself under control.
12If a ruler listens to lies, all of his officials are wicked.
13The poor man and the oppressor have this in common: The LORD gives sight to the eyes of both.
14The king who fairly judges the poor, his throne shall be established forever.
15The rod of correction gives wisdom, but a child left to himself causes shame to his mother.
16When the wicked increase, sin increases; but the righteous will see their downfall.
17Correct your son, and he will give you peace; yes, he will bring delight to your soul.
18Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but one who keeps the law is blessed.
19A servant can’t be corrected by words. Though he understands, yet he will not respond.
20Do you see a man who is hasty in his words? There is more hope for a fool than for him.
21He who pampers his servant from youth will have him become a son in the end.
22An angry man stirs up strife, and a wrathful man abounds in sin.
23A man’s pride brings him low, but one of lowly spirit gains honor.
24Whoever is an accomplice of a thief is an enemy of his own soul. He takes an oath, but dares not testify.
