Proverbios 2

Hijo mío, lleva mis palabras a tu corazón, guardando mis leyes en tu mente;

HIJO mío, si tomares mis palabras, y mis mandamientos guardares dentro de ti,

My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;

My son, if you will receive my words, and store up my commandments within you,

Para que tu oído preste atención a la sabiduría, y tu corazón se convierta en conocimiento.

Haciendo estar atento tu oído á la sabiduría; si inclinares tu corazón á la prudencia;

So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;

so as to turn your ear to wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding;

Verdaderamente, si clamas por el buen sentido, y tu pedido es por conocimiento;

Si clamares á la inteligencia, y á la prudencia dieres tu voz;

Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;

yes, if you call out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding;

Si la estás buscando como plata, y buscándola como riqueza almacenada;

Si como á la plata la buscares, y la escudriñares como á tesoros;

If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;

if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures;

Entonces el temor de Jehová será claro para ti, y el conocimiento de Dios será tuyo.

Entonces entenderás el temor de Jehová, y hallarás el conocimiento de Dios.

Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.

then you will understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.

Porque el Señor da sabiduría; de su boca salen el conocimiento y la razón:

Porque Jehová da la sabiduría, y de su boca viene el conocimiento y la inteligencia.

For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

For the LORD gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.

Él tiene la salvación almacenada para los rectos, él es un pectoral para aquellos en quienes no hay maldad;

El provee de sólida sabiduría á los rectos: es escudo á los que caminan rectamente.

He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.

He lays up sound wisdom for the upright. He is a shield to those who walk in integrity,

Vigila los caminos que son correctos, y cuida a los que le temen.

Es el que guarda las veredas del juicio, y preserva el camino de sus santos.

He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.

that he may guard the paths of justice, and preserve the way of his saints.

Entonces conocerás la justicia y la rectitud, y la conducta recta, incluso de todo buen camino.

Entonces entenderás justicia, juicio, y equidad, y todo buen camino.

Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.

Then you will understand righteousness and justice, equity and every good path.

Porque la sabiduría entrará en tu corazón, y el conocimiento agradará a tu alma;

Cuando la sabiduría entrare en tu corazón, y la ciencia fuere dulce á tu alma,

When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;

For wisdom will enter into your heart. Knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.

Los propósitos sabios te cuidarán, y el conocimiento te mantendrá;

El consejo te guardará, te preservará la inteligencia:

Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:

Discretion will watch over you. Understanding will keep you,

Te da la salvación del hombre malo, de aquellos cuyas palabras son falsas;

Para librarte del mal camino, de los hombres que hablan perversidades;

To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things;

to deliver you from the way of evil, from the men who speak perverse things,

Que dejan el camino de la justicia, para andar por caminos oscuros;

Que dejan las veredas derechas, por andar en caminos tenebrosos;

Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;

who forsake the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness,

Quienes se complacen en la maldad, y se complacen en los malos designios del pecador;

Que se alegran haciendo mal, que se huelgan en las perversidades del vicio;

Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked;

who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the perverseness of evil,

Cuyos caminos no son rectos, y cuyos pasos se vuelven malvados:

Cuyas veredas son torcidas, y torcidos sus caminos.

Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths:

who are crooked in their ways, and wayward in their paths,

Para sacarte del poder de la mujer extraña, que dice palabras seductoras;

Para librarte de la mujer extraña, de la ajena que halaga con sus palabras;

To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;

to deliver you from the strange woman, even from the foreigner who flatters with her words,

¿Quién es falsa con el marido de sus primeros años, y no tiene en cuenta el acuerdo con Dios?

Que desampara el príncipe de su mocedad, y se olvida del pacto de su Dios.

Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.

who forsakes the friend of her youth, and forgets the covenant of her God;

Porque su casa está en camino a la muerte; sus pasos descienden a las sombras:

Por lo cual su casa está inclinada á la muerte, y sus veredas hacia los muertos:

For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.

for her house leads down to death, her paths to the departed spirits.

Los que van a ella no vuelven; sus pies no se mantienen en los caminos de la vida:

Todos los que á ella entraren, no volverán, ni tomarán las veredas de la vida.

None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life.

None who go to her return again, neither do they attain to the paths of life.

para que puedas seguir el camino de los hombres buenos, y seguir los pasos de los rectos.

Para que andes por el camino de los buenos, y guardes las veredas de los justos.

That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.

Therefore walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.

Porque los rectos vivirán en la tierra, y los buenos la tendrán por heredad.

Porque los rectos habitarán la tierra, y los perfectos permanecerán en ella;

For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.

For the upright will dwell in the land. The perfect will remain in it.

Pero los pecadores serán cortados de la tierra, y aquellos cuyos actos son falsos serán desarraigados.

Mas los impíos serán cortados de la tierra, y los prevaricadores serán de ella desarraigados.

But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.

But the wicked will be cut off from the land. The treacherous will be rooted out of it.
