en prêtant une: oreille attentive à la sagesse et en ouvrant ton cœur à la raison!
Haciendo estar atento tu oído á la sabiduría; si inclinares tu corazón á la prudencia;
So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;
so as to turn your ear to wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding;
Puisses-tu invoquer le bon sens et adresser un appel pressant à la raison,
Si clamares á la inteligencia, y á la prudencia dieres tu voz;
Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
yes, if you call out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding;
la souhaiter comme de l'argent, la rechercher comme des trésors!
Si como á la plata la buscares, y la escudriñares como á tesoros;
If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures;
Car alors tu auras le sens de la crainte de l'Eternel et tu atteindras la connaissance de Dieu.
Entonces entenderás el temor de Jehová, y hallarás el conocimiento de Dios.
Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.

C'est l'Eternel, en effet, qui octroie la sagesse; de sa bouche émanent la science et la raison.
Porque Jehová da la sabiduría, y de su boca viene el conocimiento y la inteligencia.
For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

Il réserve le succès aux hommes droits; il est un bouclier pour ceux qui marchent dans l'intégrité.
El provee de sólida sabiduría á los rectos: es escudo á los que caminan rectamente.
He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
He lays up sound wisdom for the upright. He is a shield to those who walk in integrity,
Il protège les voies de la justice, et veille sur la route de ses pieux adorateurs.
Es el que guarda las veredas del juicio, y preserva el camino de sus santos.
He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.
that he may guard the paths of justice, and preserve the way of his saints.
Alors aussi tu auras une juste idée de la vertu et du droit, de l'équité et de toute bonne direction.
Entonces entenderás justicia, juicio, y equidad, y todo buen camino.
Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.
Then you will understand righteousness and justice, equity and every good path.
Puisse donc la sagesse pénétrer en ton cœur et la science faire les délices de ton âme!
Cuando la sabiduría entrare en tu corazón, y la ciencia fuere dulce á tu alma,
When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;
For wisdom will enter into your heart. Knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.
Puisse la réflexion être ta sauvegarde et la raison ta protection!
El consejo te guardará, te preservará la inteligencia:
Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:
Discretion will watch over you. Understanding will keep you,
Ainsi tu seras préservé du chemin du malfaiteur, des gens qui débitent des perversités,
Para librarte del mal camino, de los hombres que hablan perversidades;
To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things;
to deliver you from the way of evil, from the men who speak perverse things,
qui abandonnent les chemins droits pour suivre des routes ténébreuses,
Que dejan las veredas derechas, por andar en caminos tenebrosos;
Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;
who forsake the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness,
qui se réjouissent de faire du mal, sont transportés de joie par les attentats criminels,
Que se alegran haciendo mal, que se huelgan en las perversidades del vicio;
Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked;
who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the perverseness of evil,
dont les voies sont tortueuses et les sentiers pleins de détours.
Cuyas veredas son torcidas, y torcidos sus caminos.
Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths:
who are crooked in their ways, and wayward in their paths,
Par là aussi tu seras sauvé de la femme d'autrui, de l'étrangère aux paroles mielleuses,
Para librarte de la mujer extraña, de la ajena que halaga con sus palabras;
To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;
to deliver you from the strange woman, even from the foreigner who flatters with her words,
qui a trahi l'ami de sa jeunesse, et oublié l'alliance de son Dieu.
Que desampara el príncipe de su mocedad, y se olvida del pacto de su Dios.
Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.
who forsakes the friend of her youth, and forgets the covenant of her God;
Certes, sa maison penche vers la mort et ses sentiers conduisent vers les ombres des trépassés.
Por lo cual su casa está inclinada á la muerte, y sus veredas hacia los muertos:
For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.
for her house leads down to death, her paths to the departed spirits.
Aucun de ceux qui vont chez elle ne revient, incapable de retrouver le chemin de la vie.
Todos los que á ella entraren, no volverán, ni tomarán las veredas de la vida.
None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life.
None who go to her return again, neither do they attain to the paths of life.
Puisses-tu donc suivre le chemin des hommes de bien, et t'attacher aux voles des justes!
Para que andes por el camino de los buenos, y guardes las veredas de los justos.
That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.

Car ce sont les hommes droits qui occuperont la terre, et les intègres qui s'y maintiendront;
Porque los rectos habitarán la tierra, y los perfectos permanecerán en ella;

tandis que les méchants en seront extirpés et les traîtres violemment arrachés.
Mas los impíos serán cortados de la tierra, y los prevaricadores serán de ella desarraigados.
But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.
