Car je suis le plus borné des mortels, l'intelligence humaine me fait défaut.
Ciertamente más rudo soy yo que ninguno, ni tengo entendimiento de hombre.
Surely I am more brutish than any man, and have not the understanding of a man.
“Surely I am the most ignorant man, and don’t have a man’s understanding.
Je n'ai pas étudié la sagesse, de façon à concevoir une notion exacte du Très-Saint.
Yo ni aprendí sabiduría, ni conozco la ciencia del Santo.
I neither learned wisdom, nor have the knowledge of the holy.
I have not learned wisdom, neither do I have the knowledge of the Holy One.
Qui est monté au Ciel et en est redescendu? Qui a recueilli le vent dans le creux de sa main? Qui a enserré les eaux dans le pan de son manteau? Qui a établi toutes les limites de la terre? Quel est son nom, quel est le nom de son fils? Dis-le si tu le sais."

Ne te permets aucune addition à ses dires, il te réprouverait et tu serais convaincu de mensonge.

Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me:

car, vivant dans l'abondance, je pourrais te renier en disant: "Qui est l'Eternel?" ou bien, poussé par la misère, je pourrais voler et offenser le nom de mon Dieu.
No sea que me harte, y te niegue, y diga, ¿Quién es Jehová? ó no sea que siendo pobre, hurte, y blasfeme el nombre de mi Dios.
Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.

Por la aborrecida cuando se casare; y por la sierva cuando heredare á su señora.

l'araignée, tu peux l'attraper avec la main, et elle se tient dans le palais des rois!
La araña, ase con las manos, y está en palacios de rey.

Il y a trois êtres qui s'avancent d'un pas imposant et quatre qui ont une noble démarche:
Tres cosas hay de hermoso andar, y la cuarta pasea muy bien:

le lion, le plus fort des animaux, qui ne recule devant rien;
El león, fuerte entre todos los animales, que no torna atrás por nadie;
A lion which is strongest among beasts, and turneth not away for any;

le lévrier aux reins cambrés, ou le bouc, et le roi à la tête de son armée.

Que tu aies agi follement en cherchant à t'élever ou après de sages réflexions, mets-toi la main sur la bouche:
Si caiste, fué porque te enalteciste; y si mal pensaste, pon el dedo sobre la boca.
If thou hast done foolishly in lifting up thyself, or if thou hast thought evil, lay thine hand upon thy mouth.

Car la compression du lait produit le beurre, la compression du nez fait jaillir le sang, et la pression de la colère fait éclater les disputes!
