The words of King Lemuel—the revelation which his mother taught him:
Que te dirai-je, mon fils ? Que te dirai-je, fils de mes entrailles ? Que te dirai-je, fils de mes vœux ?
¿Qué, hijo mío? ¿y qué, hijo de mi vientre? ¿y qué, hijo de mis deseos?
What, my son? and what, the son of my womb? and what, the son of my vows?
“Oh, my son! Oh, son of my womb! Oh, son of my vows!
Ne donne pas ta vigueur aux femmes ! Ne suis pas celles qui perdent les rois !
No des á las mujeres tu fuerza, ni tus caminos á lo que es para destruir los reyes.
Give not thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings.
Don’t give your strength to women, nor your ways to that which destroys kings.
Ce n'est pas aux rois, Lémuel, Ce n'est pas aux rois de boire du vin, Ni aux princes de boire de la cervoise ;
No es de los reyes, oh Lemuel, no es de los reyes beber vino, ni de los príncipes la cerveza.
It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink:
