The words of king Lemuel, the prophecy that his mother taught him.
The words of King Lemuel—the revelation which his mother taught him:
"Ah! mon fils! Ah! enfant de mes entrailles! Ah! fils que j'ai appelé de mes vœux!
¿Qué, hijo mío? ¿y qué, hijo de mi vientre? ¿y qué, hijo de mis deseos?
What, my son? and what, the son of my womb? and what, the son of my vows?
“Oh, my son! Oh, son of my womb! Oh, son of my vows!
Ne prodigue paso ta vigueur aux femmes, ne livre pas tes destinées à celles qui perdent les rois.
No des á las mujeres tu fuerza, ni tus caminos á lo que es para destruir los reyes.
Give not thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings.
Don’t give your strength to women, nor your ways to that which destroys kings.
Ce n'est pas aux rois, ô Lemouel, ce n'est pas aux rois qu'il sied de boire du vin, ni aux princes de s'adonner aux liqueurs fortes;
No es de los reyes, oh Lemuel, no es de los reyes beber vino, ni de los príncipes la cerveza.
It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink:
It is not for kings, Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine, nor for princes to say, ‘Where is strong drink?’
de peur qu'en buvant, ils n'oublient les lois et ne méconnaissent le droit de toutes les victimes de la misère.
No sea que bebiendo olviden la ley, y perviertan el derecho de todos los hijos afligidos.

Mujer fuerte, ¿quién la hallará? porque su estima sobrepuja largamente á la de piedras preciosas.

Gustó que era buena su granjería: su candela no se apagó de noche.
She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.
