Car ils t’apporteront de longs jours, et des années de vie, et de prospérité.
Porque largura de días, y años de vida y paz te aumentarán.
For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.

Que la gratuité et la vérité ne t’abandonnent point : lie-les à ton cou, et écris-les sur la table de ton coeur ;
Misericordia y verdad no te desamparen; átalas á tu cuello, escríbelas en la tabla de tu corazón:
Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
Don’t let kindness and truth forsake you. Bind them around your neck. Write them on the tablet of your heart.
Et tu trouveras la grâce et le bon sens aux yeux de Dieu et des hommes.
Y hallarás gracia y buena opinión en los ojos de Dios y de los hombres.
So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

Confie-toi de tout ton coeur en l’Eternel, et ne t’appuie point sur ta prudence.
Fíate de Jehová de todo tu corazón, y no estribes en tu prudencia.

Ce sera une médecine à ton nombril, et une humectation à tes os.
Porque será medicina á tu ombligo, y tuétano á tus huesos.
It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

Honore l’Eternel de ton bien, et des prémices de tout ton revenu.
Honra á Jehová de tu sustancia, y de las primicias de todos tus frutos;

Et tes greniers seront remplis d’abondance, et tes cuves rompront de moût.
Y serán llenas tus trojes con abundancia, y tus lagares rebosarán de mosto.
So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

Mon fils, ne rebute point l’instruction de l’Eternel, et ne te fâche point de ce qu’il te reprend.
No deseches, hijo mío, el castigo de Jehová; ni te fatigues de su corrección:
My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:
My son, don’t despise the LORD’s discipline, neither be weary of his correction;
Car l’Eternel reprend celui qu’il aime, même comme un père l’enfant auquel il prend plaisir.
Porque al que ama castiga, como el padre al hijo á quien quiere.
For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.
for whom the LORD loves, he corrects, even as a father reproves the son in whom he delights.
Ô ! que bienheureux est l’homme qui trouve la sagesse, et l’homme qui met en avant l’intelligence !
Bienaventurado el hombre que halla la sabiduría, y que obtiene la inteligencia:
Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.

Car le trafic qu’on peut faire d’elle, est meilleur que le trafic de l’argent ; et le revenu qu’on en peut avoir, est meilleur que le fin or.
Porque su mercadería es mejor que la mercadería de la plata, y sus frutos más que el oro fino.
For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.
For her good profit is better than getting silver, and her return is better than fine gold.
Elle est plus précieuse que les perles, et toutes tes choses désirables ne la valent point.
Más preciosa es que las piedras preciosas; y todo lo que puedes desear, no se puede comparar á ella.

Mon fils, qu’elles ne s’écartent point de devant tes yeux ; garde la droite connaissance et la prudence.
Hijo mío, no se aparten estas cosas de tus ojos; guarda la ley y el consejo;
My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion:

Et elles seront la vie de ton âme, et l’ornement de ton cou.
Y serán vida á tu alma, y gracia á tu cuello.
So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck.

Alors tu marcheras en assurance par ta voie, et ton pied ne bronchera point.
Entonces andarás por tu camino confiadamente, y tu pie no tropezará.
Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble.

Si tu te couches, tu n’auras point de frayeur, et quand tu te seras couché ton sommeil sera doux.
Cuando te acostares, no tendrás temor; antes te acostarás, y tu sueño será suave.
When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.
When you lie down, you will not be afraid. Yes, you will lie down, and your sleep will be sweet.
Ne crains point la frayeur subite, ni la ruine des méchants, quand elle arrivera.
No tendrás temor de pavor repentino, ni de la ruina de los impíos cuando viniere:
Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.

Car l’Eternel sera ton espérance, et il gardera ton pied d’être pris.
Porque Jehová será tu confianza, y él preservará tu pie de ser preso.
For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.
for the LORD will be your confidence, and will keep your foot from being taken.
Ne retiens pas le bien de ceux à qui il appartient, encore qu’il fût en ta puissance de le faire.
No detengas el bien de sus dueños, cuando tuvieres poder para hacerlo.
Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.

Ne dis point à ton prochain : Va, et retourne, et je te le donnerai demain, quand tu l’as par-devers toi.
No digas á tu prójimo: Ve, y vuelve, y mañana te daré; cuando tienes contigo qué darle.
Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee.
Don’t say to your neighbor, “Go, and come again; tomorrow I will give it to you,” when you have it by you.
Ne machine point de mal contre ton prochain ; vu qu’il habite en assurance avec toi.
No intentes mal contra tu prójimo, estando él confiado de ti.
Devise not evil against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth securely by thee.
Don’t devise evil against your neighbor, since he dwells securely by you.
N’aie point de procès sans sujet avec aucun, à moins qu’il ne t’ait fait quelque tort.
No pleitees con alguno sin razón, si él no te ha hecho agravio.
Strive not with a man without cause, if he have done thee no harm.
Don’t strive with a man without cause, if he has done you no harm.
Ne porte point d’envie à l’homme violent, et ne choisis aucune de ses voies.
No envidies al hombre injusto, ni escojas alguno de sus caminos.
Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways.

Car celui qui va de travers est en abomination à l’Eternel ; mais son secret est avec ceux qui sont justes.
Porque el perverso es abominado de Jehová: mas su secreto es con los rectos.
For the froward is abomination to the LORD: but his secret is with the righteous.
For the perverse is an abomination to the LORD, but his friendship is with the upright.
La malédiction de l’Eternel est dans la maison du méchant ; mais il bénit la demeure des justes.
La maldición de Jehová está en la casa del impío; mas él bendecirá la morada de los justos.
The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just.

Certes il se moque des moqueurs, mais il fait grâce aux débonnaires.
Ciertamente él escarnecerá á los escarnecedores, y á los humildes dará gracia.
