Se você seguir essas instruções, a sua vida será prolongada por muitos anos e isso lhe dará prosperidade e paz.
Porque largura de días, y años de vida y paz te aumentarán.
For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
for they will add to you length of days, years of life, and peace.
Nunca abandone o amor e a fidelidade; faça disso uma regra de vida; grave isso em seu coração.
Misericordia y verdad no te desamparen; átalas á tu cuello, escríbelas en la tabla de tu corazón:
Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
Don’t let kindness and truth forsake you. Bind them around your neck. Write them on the tablet of your heart.
Então você será honrado e compreendido por Deus e pelos homens.
Y hallarás gracia y buena opinión en los ojos de Dios y de los hombres.
So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

Confie no Senhor de todo o seu coração e não se apoie na sua própria capacidade e entendimento;
Fíate de Jehová de todo tu corazón, y no estribes en tu prudencia.
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

lembre-se de colocar Deus em primeiro lugar, em todos os seus caminhos, e ele guiará os seus passos, e você andará pelo caminho certo.
Reconócelo en todos tus caminos, y él enderezará tus veredas.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Não fique cheio de si, pensando que a sua própria sabedoria é a razão do seu sucesso. A verdadeira sabedoria é temer o Senhor e evitar o mal.
No seas sabio en tu opinión: teme á Jehová, y apártate del mal;
Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
Don’t be wise in your own eyes. Fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
Se você fizer isso, o seu corpo terá saúde e os seus ossos vigor para enfrentar a vida.
Porque será medicina á tu ombligo, y tuétano á tus huesos.
It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
It will be health to your body, and nourishment to your bones.
Honre o Senhor, oferecendo a ele a melhor parte de tudo que a sua terra produz.
Honra á Jehová de tu sustancia, y de las primicias de todos tus frutos;
Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:

Então os seus celeiros ficarão cheios de trigo e cevada, e os seus tanques de espremer uvas transbordarão de vinho!
Y serán llenas tus trojes con abundancia, y tus lagares rebosarán de mosto.
So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

Meu filho, não fique revoltado quando for disciplinado pelo Senhor. Não fique desanimado quando ele o corrigir,
No deseches, hijo mío, el castigo de Jehová; ni te fatigues de su corrección:
My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:
My son, don’t despise the LORD’s discipline, neither be weary of his correction;
pois o Senhor disciplina quem ele ama, assim como um pai cheio de amor faz ao seu filho.
Porque al que ama castiga, como el padre al hijo á quien quiere.
For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.
for whom the LORD loves, he corrects, even as a father reproves the son in whom he delights.
O homem que encontra a sabedoria e obtém entendimento é um homem feliz!
Bienaventurado el hombre que halla la sabiduría, y que obtiene la inteligencia:
Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.
Happy is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gets understanding.
A sabedoria traz mais benefícios do que a prata e tem mais valor do que o ouro.
Porque su mercadería es mejor que la mercadería de la plata, y sus frutos más que el oro fino.
For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.
For her good profit is better than getting silver, and her return is better than fine gold.

A sabedoria é como uma árvore cujos frutos dão vida; feliz é a pessoa que sempre come esses frutos!

Por meio da sabedoria o Senhor criou a terra e por meio do seu entendimento fixou os céus.

Meu filho, tenha sempre estas duas coisas em vista: a verdadeira sabedoria e a capacidade de tomar decisões certas.
Hijo mío, no se aparten estas cosas de tus ojos; guarda la ley y el consejo;
My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion:

Se você possuir essas duas qualidades, terá sempre forças renovadas. Elas são como uma medalha de honra ao redor do seu pescoço.
Y serán vida á tu alma, y gracia á tu cuello.
So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck.
so they will be life to your soul, and grace for your neck.
Então você seguirá por caminhos seguros e não tropeçará;
Entonces andarás por tu camino confiadamente, y tu pie no tropezará.
Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble.
Then you shall walk in your way securely. Your foot won’t stumble.
quando se deitar, não terá medo, e o seu sono será tranquilo.
Cuando te acostares, no tendrás temor; antes te acostarás, y tu sueño será suave.
When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.
When you lie down, you will not be afraid. Yes, you will lie down, and your sleep will be sweet.
Não precisará ter medo de problemas inesperados nem da ruína que atinge os homens maus,
No tendrás temor de pavor repentino, ni de la ruina de los impíos cuando viniere:
Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.
Don’t be afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it comes;
porque o Senhor mesmo será sua segurança. Ele não deixará que você caia em qualquer armadilha.
Porque Jehová será tu confianza, y él preservará tu pie de ser preso.
For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.
for the LORD will be your confidence, and will keep your foot from being taken.
Nunca deixe de fazer o bem a quem precisar, sempre que possível.
No detengas el bien de sus dueños, cuando tuvieres poder para hacerlo.
Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.
Don’t withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do it.
Não diga ao seu próximo: “Passe aqui amanhã e eu lhe darei algo”, se você puder fazê-lo hoje.
No digas á tu prójimo: Ve, y vuelve, y mañana te daré; cuando tienes contigo qué darle.
Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee.
Don’t say to your neighbor, “Go, and come again; tomorrow I will give it to you,” when you have it by you.
Não faça planos maus contra o seu próximo, porque ele confia em você.
No intentes mal contra tu prójimo, estando él confiado de ti.
Devise not evil against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth securely by thee.
Don’t devise evil against your neighbor, since he dwells securely by you.
Não se envolva em discussões com pessoas que não lhe fizeram mal algum.
No pleitees con alguno sin razón, si él no te ha hecho agravio.
Strive not with a man without cause, if he have done thee no harm.
Don’t strive with a man without cause, if he has done you no harm.
Não fique com inveja dos homens violentos nem imite os seus procedimentos,
No envidies al hombre injusto, ni escojas alguno de sus caminos.
Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways.
Don’t envy the man of violence. Choose none of his ways.
pois o Senhor odeia o perverso, mas é grande amigo dos justos.
Porque el perverso es abominado de Jehová: mas su secreto es con los rectos.
For the froward is abomination to the LORD: but his secret is with the righteous.
For the perverse is an abomination to the LORD, but his friendship is with the upright.
O Senhor lança sua maldição sobre a casa do perverso, mas derrama bênçãos sobre a família do justo.
La maldición de Jehová está en la casa del impío; mas él bendecirá la morada de los justos.
The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just.
The LORD’s curse is in the house of the wicked, but he blesses the habitation of the righteous.
Deus zomba dos zombadores, mas mostra o seu amor aos humildes.
Ciertamente él escarnecerá á los escarnecedores, y á los humildes dará gracia.
Surely he scorneth the scorners: but he giveth grace unto the lowly.

Os sábios recebem honra do Senhor, mas os que desprezam a sabedoria serão cobertos de vergonha.
