Hijo mío, no te olvides de mi ley, y guarda en tu corazón mis mandamientos;

porque ellos te colmarán de largos días, y de años de vida, y de perpetua paz.
Porque largura de días, y años de vida y paz te aumentarán.
For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
for they will add to you length of days, years of life, and peace.
No se aparte de ti la misericordia y la verdad; ponlas como collar en tu garganta, y estámpalas en tu corazón,
Misericordia y verdad no te desamparen; átalas á tu cuello, escríbelas en la tabla de tu corazón:
Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
Don’t let kindness and truth forsake you. Bind them around your neck. Write them on the tablet of your heart.
y hallarás gracia y buena opinión delante de Dios y de los hombres.
Y hallarás gracia y buena opinión en los ojos de Dios y de los hombres.
So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
So you will find favor, and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
Confía en el Señor con todo tu corazón, y no te apoyes en tu prudencia.
Fíate de Jehová de todo tu corazón, y no estribes en tu prudencia.
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding.
En todas tus empresas tenle presente, y él sea quien dirija todos tus pasos.
Reconócelo en todos tus caminos, y él enderezará tus veredas.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
No te tengas a ti mismo por sabio. Teme a Dios y huye del mal.
No seas sabio en tu opinión: teme á Jehová, y apártate del mal;
Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
Don’t be wise in your own eyes. Fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
De este modo gozará tu carne de salud robusta, y estarán llenos de jugo tus huesos.
Porque será medicina á tu ombligo, y tuétano á tus huesos.
It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
It will be health to your body, and nourishment to your bones.
Honra al Señor con tu hacienda, y ofrécele las primicias de todos tus frutos.
Honra á Jehová de tu sustancia, y de las primicias de todos tus frutos;
Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:
Honor the LORD with your substance, with the first fruits of all your increase;
Con esto tus trojes se colmarán de granos, y rebosará el vino en tus lagares.
Y serán llenas tus trojes con abundancia, y tus lagares rebosarán de mosto.
So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.
so your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine.
No rehuses, hijo mío, la corrección del Señor, ni desmayes cuando él te castigue.
No deseches, hijo mío, el castigo de Jehová; ni te fatigues de su corrección:
My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:
My son, don’t despise the LORD’s discipline, neither be weary of his correction;
Porque el Señor castiga a los que ama, y en los cuales tiene puesto su afecto, como lo tiene un padre en sus hijos.
Porque al que ama castiga, como el padre al hijo á quien quiere.
For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.
for whom the LORD loves, he corrects, even as a father reproves the son in whom he delights.
Dichoso el hombre que ha adquirido la sabiduría, y es rico en prudencia;
Bienaventurado el hombre que halla la sabiduría, y que obtiene la inteligencia:
Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.
Happy is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gets understanding.
cuya adquisición vale más que la de la plata; y sus frutos son más preciosos que el oro acendrado.
Porque su mercadería es mejor que la mercadería de la plata, y sus frutos más que el oro fino.
For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.
For her good profit is better than getting silver, and her return is better than fine gold.
Es más apreciable que todas las riquezas; y no pueden parangonarse con ella las cosas de mayor estima.
Más preciosa es que las piedras preciosas; y todo lo que puedes desear, no se puede comparar á ella.
She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.

En su mano derecha trae la larga vida, y las riquezas y la gloria a su izquierda.
Largura de días está en su mano derecha; en su izquierda riquezas y honra.

Sus caminos son caminos deliciosos, y llenas de paz todas sus sendas.

Es el árbol de la vida para los que echaren mano de ella; y bienaventurado el que la tiene asida.

She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.

Por la sabiduría fundó el Señor la tierra, y por medio de ella o de la prudencia estableció los cielos.
Jehová con sabiduría fundó la tierra; afirmó los cielos con inteligencia.

Por su sabiduría brota copiosas aguas los manantiales, y las nubes destilan el rocío.
Con su ciencia se partieron los abismos, y destilan el rocío los cielos.
By his knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew.

Hijo mío, nunca pierdas de vista estas cosas: observa la ley y mis consejos;
Hijo mío, no se aparten estas cosas de tus ojos; guarda la ley y el consejo;
My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion:
My son, let them not depart from your eyes. Keep sound wisdom and discretion,
que ellos serán la vida de tu alma, y como un precioso collar para tu adorno.
Y serán vida á tu alma, y gracia á tu cuello.
So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck.
so they will be life to your soul, and grace for your neck.
Entonces seguirás lleno de confianza tu camino, y no tropezará tu pie.
Entonces andarás por tu camino confiadamente, y tu pie no tropezará.
Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble.
Then you shall walk in your way securely. Your foot won’t stumble.
Te acostarás sin zozobra; te echarás a dormir, y tu sueño será tranquilo.
Cuando te acostares, no tendrás temor; antes te acostarás, y tu sueño será suave.
When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.
When you lie down, you will not be afraid. Yes, you will lie down, and your sleep will be sweet.
No receles ningún susto repentino, ni que venga sobre ti la desolación o la violencia de los impíos;
No tendrás temor de pavor repentino, ni de la ruina de los impíos cuando viniere:
Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.
Don’t be afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it comes;
pues el Señor estará a tu lado y guiará tus pasos, a fin de que no seas presa de ellos.
Porque Jehová será tu confianza, y él preservará tu pie de ser preso.
For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.
for the LORD will be your confidence, and will keep your foot from being taken.
No impidas el bien al que puede hacerlo; hazlo tú también, si puedes.
No detengas el bien de sus dueños, cuando tuvieres poder para hacerlo.
Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.
Don’t withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do it.
No digas a tu amigo: Anda y vuelve; mañana te daré lo que pides, pudiendo dárselo luego.
No digas á tu prójimo: Ve, y vuelve, y mañana te daré; cuando tienes contigo qué darle.
Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee.
Don’t say to your neighbor, “Go, and come again; tomorrow I will give it to you,” when you have it by you.
No maquines ningún mal contra tu amigo, puesto que él se fía de ti.
No intentes mal contra tu prójimo, estando él confiado de ti.
Devise not evil against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth securely by thee.
Don’t devise evil against your neighbor, since he dwells securely by you.
No litigues sin razón contra el que no te ha hecho mal ninguno.
No pleitees con alguno sin razón, si él no te ha hecho agravio.
Strive not with a man without cause, if he have done thee no harm.
Don’t strive with a man without cause, if he has done you no harm.
No envidies al hombre injusto, ni imites sus procederes;
No envidies al hombre injusto, ni escojas alguno de sus caminos.
Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways.
Don’t envy the man of violence. Choose none of his ways.
porque todos los tramposos o perversos son abominados del Señor; el cual sólo conversa con los sencillos.
Porque el perverso es abominado de Jehová: mas su secreto es con los rectos.
For the froward is abomination to the LORD: but his secret is with the righteous.
For the perverse is an abomination to the LORD, but his friendship is with the upright.
El Señor introduce la miseria en la casa del impío; pero echará sus bendiciones sobre las casas de los justos.
La maldición de Jehová está en la casa del impío; mas él bendecirá la morada de los justos.
The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just.
The LORD’s curse is in the house of the wicked, but he blesses the habitation of the righteous.
El se burlará de los burladores, y la dará su gracia a los humildes.
Ciertamente él escarnecerá á los escarnecedores, y á los humildes dará gracia.
Surely he scorneth the scorners: but he giveth grace unto the lowly.
Surely he mocks the mockers, but he gives grace to the humble.
La gloria será la herencia de los sabios; pero a los necios se les convertirá su exaltación en ignominia.
Los sabios heredarán honra: mas los necios sostendrán ignominia.
The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools.
