Porque largura de días, y años de vida y paz te aumentarán.

Que la bonté et la vérité ne te quittent jamais: attache-les à ton cou, inscris-les sur les tablettes de ton cœur,
Misericordia y verdad no te desamparen; átalas á tu cuello, escríbelas en la tabla de tu corazón:
Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
Don’t let kindness and truth forsake you. Bind them around your neck. Write them on the tablet of your heart.
et tu trouveras faveur et bon vouloir aux yeux de Dieu et des hommes.

So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

Confie-toi en l'Eternel de tout cœur, mais ne te repose pas sur ton intelligence.

ce sera la santé pour ton corps; une sève généreuse pour tes membres.
Porque será medicina á tu ombligo, y tuétano á tus huesos.
It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

Honore l'Eternel avec tes biens, avec les prémices de tous tes produits;
Honra á Jehová de tu sustancia, y de las primicias de todos tus frutos;

alors tes celliers regorgeront d'abondance et tes pressoirs déborderont de vin. ?
Y serán llenas tus trojes con abundancia, y tus lagares rebosarán de mosto.
So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

Ne rejette pas l'admonestation de l'Eternel, ne t'insurge pas contre sa réprimande;
No deseches, hijo mío, el castigo de Jehová; ni te fatigues de su corrección:
My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:
My son, don’t despise the LORD’s discipline, neither be weary of his correction;
car celui qu'il aime, l'Eternel le châtie, tel un père le fils qui lui est cher.
Porque al que ama castiga, como el padre al hijo á quien quiere.
For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

Heureux l'homme qui a atteint la sagesse, le mortel qui met en œuvre la raison!
Bienaventurado el hombre que halla la sabiduría, y que obtiene la inteligencia:

Car le trafic en vaut plus que celui de l'argent, et les fruits qu'elle donne l'emportent sur l'or fin.
Porque su mercadería es mejor que la mercadería de la plata, y sus frutos más que el oro fino.

Elles seront un gage de vie pour ton âme, un ornement gracieux pour ton cou.

Dès lors, tu suivras en sécurité ta route, et ton pied ne bronchera pas.
Entonces andarás por tu camino confiadamente, y tu pie no tropezará.

Lorsque tu te livreras au repos, tu n'éprouveras aucune crainte, tu te coucheras et goûteras un doux sommeil.

When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.

Tu ne seras pas exposé à des terreurs soudaines ni au malheur qui fond sur le méchant.
No tendrás temor de pavor repentino, ni de la ruina de los impíos cuando viniere:
Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.

Car l'Eternel sera l'objet de ton espoir; il préservera ton pied des embûches.
Porque Jehová será tu confianza, y él preservará tu pie de ser preso.
For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.

Ne refuse pas un bienfait à ceux qui y ont droit, alors qu'il est en ton pouvoir de l'accorder.
No detengas el bien de sus dueños, cuando tuvieres poder para hacerlo.
Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.

Ne dis pas à ton prochain: "Va, tu reviendras; demain je donnerai", quand tu as de quoi.
No digas á tu prójimo: Ve, y vuelve, y mañana te daré; cuando tienes contigo qué darle.
Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee.
Don’t say to your neighbor, “Go, and come again; tomorrow I will give it to you,” when you have it by you.
Ne médite pas de mal contre ton prochain, tandis qu'il demeure sans défiance auprès de toi.
No intentes mal contra tu prójimo, estando él confiado de ti.
Devise not evil against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth securely by thee.
Don’t devise evil against your neighbor, since he dwells securely by you.
Ne cherche pas de vaine querelle à l'homme qui ne t'a fait aucun rital.
No pleitees con alguno sin razón, si él no te ha hecho agravio.
Strive not with a man without cause, if he have done thee no harm.

Ne porte envie à aucun homme injuste et n'adopte aucun de ses procédés.
No envidies al hombre injusto, ni escojas alguno de sus caminos.
Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways.

Car l'Eternel a en horreur les gens tortueux, mais les justes jouissent de son intimité.
Porque el perverso es abominado de Jehová: mas su secreto es con los rectos.
For the froward is abomination to the LORD: but his secret is with the righteous.
For the perverse is an abomination to the LORD, but his friendship is with the upright.
La malédiction de l'Eternel repose sur la maison du méchant, mais la demeure du juste est bénie.
La maldición de Jehová está en la casa del impío; mas él bendecirá la morada de los justos.
The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just.

Se trouve-t-il en présence de railleurs, il leur oppose la raillerie, mais il accorde sa bienveillance aux humbles.
Ciertamente él escarnecerá á los escarnecedores, y á los humildes dará gracia.
