Yo les doy una buena enseñanza, así que no abandonen mi ley.

Lo más importante es la sabiduría; por eso, ¡adquiérela! Aunque te cueste todo lo que tienes, adquiere discernimiento.
Sabiduría ante todo: adquiere sabiduría: y ante toda tu posesión adquiere inteligencia.
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
Wisdom is supreme. Get wisdom. Yes, though it costs all your possessions, get understanding.
Estímala, y ella te exaltará; si la abrazas, ella te colmará de honores.
Engrandécela, y ella te engrandecerá: ella te honrará, cuando tú la hubieres abrazado.
Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.
Esteem her, and she will exalt you. She will bring you to honor when you embrace her.
Adornará tu cabeza con una guirnalda de gracia; te obsequiará una corona de esplendor”.
Adorno de gracia dará á tu cabeza: corona de hermosura te entregará.
She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.

Escucha, hijo mío, y acepta mis palabras, y tus años de vida se multiplicarán.

Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many.

Yo te guío por el camino de la sabiduría y te conduzco por senderos rectos.
Por el camino de la sabiduría te he encaminado, y por veredas derechas te he hecho andar.
I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths.
I have taught you in the way of wisdom. I have led you in straight paths.
Cuando camines, nada detendrá tus pasos; cuando corras, no tropezarás.
Cuando anduvieres no se estrecharán tus pasos; y si corrieres, no tropezarás.
When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble.
When you go, your steps will not be hampered. When you run, you will not stumble.
Aférrate a la instrucción y no la sueltes; cuídala bien, pues ella es tu vida.
Ten el consejo, no lo dejes; guárdalo, porque eso es tu vida.
Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.
Take firm hold of instruction. Don’t let her go. Keep her, for she is your life.
No sigas el sendero de los malvados ni sigas el camino de los malos.
No entres por la vereda de los impíos, ni vayas por el camino de los malos.
Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men.

¡Evítalo! No pases por ahí; apártate de ese camino y sigue adelante.

Porque ellos no duermen si no hacen algo malo; no descansan si no hacen que alguien caiga.

For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall.

Su comida es la maldad y su bebida es la violencia.
Porque comen pan de maldad, y beben vino de robos.

Pero el camino de los justos es como la luz del amanecer, que brilla cada vez más hasta que el día es perfecto.

En cambio, el camino de los malvados es como la oscuridad; ¡ni siquiera saben con qué tropiezan!

Hijo mío, presta atención a lo que te digo; escucha con atención mis palabras.

No las pierdas de vista; llévalas en lo más profundo de tu corazón,
