car je vous donne une bonne doctrine : n’abandonnez pas mon enseignement.
Porque os doy buena enseñanza; no desamparéis mi ley.

Il m’a enseigné et m’a dit : Que ton cœur retienne mes paroles ; garde mes commandements, et tu vivras.

Le commencement de la sagesse, c’est : Acquiers la sagesse, et, au prix de toutes tes acquisitions, acquiers l’intelligence.
Sabiduría ante todo: adquiere sabiduría: y ante toda tu posesión adquiere inteligencia.
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
Wisdom is supreme. Get wisdom. Yes, though it costs all your possessions, get understanding.
Exalte-la, et elle t’élèvera ; elle t’honorera quand tu l’auras embrassée.
Engrandécela, y ella te engrandecerá: ella te honrará, cuando tú la hubieres abrazado.
Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.

Elle mettra sur ta tête une guirlande de grâce, elle te donnera une couronne de gloire.
Adorno de gracia dará á tu cabeza: corona de hermosura te entregará.
She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.

Écoute, mon fils, et reçois mes paroles, et les années de ta vie te seront multipliées.
Oye, hijo mío, y recibe mis razones; y se te multiplicarán años de vida.
Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many.

Je t’enseignerai la voie de la sagesse, je te dirigerai dans les chemins de la droiture.
Por el camino de la sabiduría te he encaminado, y por veredas derechas te he hecho andar.

Quand tu marcheras, tes pas ne seront pas gênés, et si tu cours, tu ne broncheras pas.
Cuando anduvieres no se estrecharán tus pasos; y si corrieres, no tropezarás.
When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble.
When you go, your steps will not be hampered. When you run, you will not stumble.
Tiens ferme l’instruction, ne la lâche pas ; garde-la, car elle est ta vie.
Ten el consejo, no lo dejes; guárdalo, porque eso es tu vida.
Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.
Take firm hold of instruction. Don’t let her go. Keep her, for she is your life.
N’entre pas dans le sentier des méchants, et ne marche pas dans la voie des iniques.

Car ils ne dormiraient pas s’ils n’avaient fait du mal, et le sommeil leur serait ôté s’ils n’avaient fait trébucher quelqu’un ;
Porque no duermen ellos, si no hicieren mal; y pierden su sueño, si no han hecho caer.
For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall.

Le chemin des méchants est comme l’obscurité ; ils ne savent contre quoi ils trébucheront.
El camino de los impíos es como la oscuridad: no saben en qué tropiezan.
The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.

Mon fils, sois attentif à mes paroles, incline ton oreille à mes discours.
Hijo mío, está atento á mis palabras; inclina tu oído á mis razones.

Qu’ils ne s’éloignent point de tes yeux ; garde-les au-dedans de ton cœur ;

car ils sont la vie de ceux qui les trouvent, et la santé de toute leur chair.

Garde ton cœur plus que tout ce que l’on garde, car de lui sont les issues de la vie.
