Perciocchè io vi ho data buona dottrina, Non lasciate la mia legge.
Porque os doy buena enseñanza; no desamparéis mi ley.

Ed esso mi ammaestrava, e mi diceva: Il tuo cuore ritenga le mie parole; Osserva i miei comandamenti, e tu viverai.
Y él me enseñaba, y me decía: Mantenga tu corazón mis razones, guarda mis mandamientos, y vivirás:
He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live.

Non abbandonar la sapienza, ed ella ti preserverà; Amala, ed ella ti guarderà.

La sapienza è la principal cosa; acquista la sapienza; Ed al prezzo di tutti i tuoi beni, acquista la prudenza.
Sabiduría ante todo: adquiere sabiduría: y ante toda tu posesión adquiere inteligencia.
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

Esaltala, ed ella ti innalzerà; Ella ti glorificherà, quando tu l'avrai abbracciata.
Engrandécela, y ella te engrandecerá: ella te honrará, cuando tú la hubieres abrazado.
Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.
Esteem her, and she will exalt you. She will bring you to honor when you embrace her.
Ella ti metterà in sul capo un fregio di grazia; E ti darà una corona d'ornamento.
Adorno de gracia dará á tu cabeza: corona de hermosura te entregará.
She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.

Ascolta, figliuol mio, e ricevi i miei detti; Ed anni di vita ti saranno moltiplicati.
Oye, hijo mío, y recibe mis razones; y se te multiplicarán años de vida.
Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many.

Por el camino de la sabiduría te he encaminado, y por veredas derechas te he hecho andar.

Quando tu camminerai, i tuoi passi non saran ristretti; E se tu corri, tu non incapperai.

When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble.
When you go, your steps will not be hampered. When you run, you will not stumble.
Attienti all'ammaestramento, non lasciarlo; Guardalo, perciocchè esso è la tua vita.
Ten el consejo, no lo dejes; guárdalo, porque eso es tu vida.
Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.

Perciocchè essi non possono dormire, se non hanno fatto qualche male; E il sonno s'invola loro, se non hanno fatto cader qualcuno.
Porque no duermen ellos, si no hicieren mal; y pierden su sueño, si no han hecho caer.
For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall.
