For I doe giue you a good doctrine: therefore forsake yee not my lawe.
Porque os doy buena enseñanza; no desamparéis mi ley.

For I was my fathers sonne, tender and deare in the sight of my mother,

When he taught me, and sayde vnto me, Let thine heart holde fast my woordes: keepe my commandements, and thou shalt liue.

Exalt her, and she shall exalt thee: she shall bring thee to honour, if thou embrace her.

Esteem her, and she will exalt you. She will bring you to honor when you embrace her.
She shall giue a comely ornamet vnto thine head, yea, she shall giue thee a crowne of glorie.
Adorno de gracia dará á tu cabeza: corona de hermosura te entregará.

Heare, my sonne, and receiue my wordes, and the yeeres of thy life shalbe many.
Oye, hijo mío, y recibe mis razones; y se te multiplicarán años de vida.
Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many.
Listen, my son, and receive my sayings. The years of your life will be many.
I haue taught thee in ye way of wisedom, and led thee in the pathes of righteousnesse.
Por el camino de la sabiduría te he encaminado, y por veredas derechas te he hecho andar.

Whe thou goest, thy gate shall not be strait, and when thou runnest, thou shalt not fall.
Cuando anduvieres no se estrecharán tus pasos; y si corrieres, no tropezarás.
When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble.
When you go, your steps will not be hampered. When you run, you will not stumble.
Take holde of instruction, and leaue not: keepe her, for shee is thy life.
Ten el consejo, no lo dejes; guárdalo, porque eso es tu vida.
Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.

Enter not into the way of the wicked, and walke not in the way of euill men.

For they can not sleepe, except they haue done euill, and their sleepe departeth except they cause some to fall.
Porque no duermen ellos, si no hicieren mal; y pierden su sueño, si no han hecho caer.

For they don’t sleep unless they do evil. Their sleep is taken away, unless they make someone fall.
For they eate the breade of wickednesse, and drinke the wine of violence.

My sonne, hearken vnto my wordes, incline thine eare vnto my sayings.
