Proverbios 5

Mon fils, sois attentif à ma sagesse, et prête l'oreille à mes discours ;

HIJO mío, está atento á mi sabiduría, y á mi inteligencia inclina tu oído;

My son, attend unto my wisdom, and bow thine ear to my understanding:

My son, pay attention to my wisdom. Turn your ear to my understanding,

afin de conserver ta pensée pure. C'est la sagesse de mes lèvres qui te fait cette recommandation : Ne t'attache point à la femme trompeuse.

Para que guardes consejo, y tus labios conserven la ciencia.

That thou mayest regard discretion, and that thy lips may keep knowledge.

that you may maintain discretion, that your lips may preserve knowledge.

Car le miel découle des lèvres de la femme débauchée, qui, pour un temps charmera ton palais.

Porque los labios de la extraña destilan miel, y su paladar es más blando que el aceite:

For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil:

For the lips of an adulteress drip honey. Her mouth is smoother than oil,

Mais après tu la trouveras plus amère que le fiel, et plus aiguë qu'un glaive à double tranchant.

Mas su fin es amargo como el ajenjo, agudo como cuchillo de dos filos.

But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a twoedged sword.

but in the end she is as bitter as wormwood, and as sharp as a two-edged sword.

Car les pieds de la folie conduisent ceux qui l'aiment à l'enfer, en compagnie de la mort, et ses pas ne laissent point de traces.

Sus pies descienden á la muerte; sus pasos sustentan el sepulcro:

Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell.

Her feet go down to death. Her steps lead straight to Sheol.

Elle ne chemine point dans les voies de vie ; mais ses sentiers sont glissants et difficiles à suivre.

Sus caminos son instables; no los conocerás, si no considerares el camino de vida.

Lest thou shouldest ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable, that thou canst not know them.

She gives no thought to the way of life. Her ways are crooked, and she doesn’t know it.

Maintenant donc, ô mon fils, écoute-moi, et ne rends point vaines mes paroles.

Ahora pues, hijos, oidme, y no os apartéis de las razones de mi boca.

Hear me now therefore, O ye children, and depart not from the words of my mouth.

Now therefore, my sons, listen to me. Don’t depart from the words of my mouth.

Fais que ta voie soit loin d'elle ; ne t'approche pas des portes de sa demeure.

Aleja de ella tu camino, y no te acerques á la puerta de su casa;

Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house:

Remove your way far from her. Don’t come near the door of her house,

De peur qu'elle ne livre ta vie à des étrangers, et tes biens à des gens sans pitié ;

Porque no des á los extraños tu honor, y tus años á cruel;

Lest thou give thine honour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel:

lest you give your honor to others, and your years to the cruel one;

de peur que des étrangers ne se rassasient de tes richesses, et que le fruit de tes labeurs ne s'en aille dans la maison d'autrui ;

Porque no se harten los extraños de tu fuerza, y tus trabajos estén en casa del extraño;

Lest strangers be filled with thy wealth; and thy labours be in the house of a stranger;

lest strangers feast on your wealth, and your labors enrich another man’s house.

et tu te repentirais à ton dernier jour, quand les chairs de ton corps seraient consumées, et tu dirais

Y gimas en tus postrimerías, cuando se consumiere tu carne y tu cuerpo,

And thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed,

You will groan at your latter end, when your flesh and your body are consumed,

Pourquoi ai-je haï la discipline, et pourquoi mon cœur a-t-il éludé les réprimandes ?

Y digas: ¡Cómo aborrecí el consejo, y mi corazón menospreció la reprensión;

And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof;

and say, “How I have hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof.

Je n'ai point écouté la voix de celui qui me corrigeait et m'enseignait, et je ne lui ai point prêté l'oreille.

Y no oí la voz de los que me adoctrinaban, y á los que me enseñaban no incliné mi oído!

And have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me!

I haven’t obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor turned my ear to those who instructed me!

J'ai failli être en butte à tous les maux, au milieu de l'église et de la synagogue.

Casi en todo mal he estado, en medio de la sociedad y de la congregación.

I was almost in all evil in the midst of the congregation and assembly.

I have come to the brink of utter ruin, among the gathered assembly.”

Bois des eaux de tes vases et des sources de ton puits.

Bebe el agua de tu cisterna, y los raudales de tu pozo.

Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well.

Drink water out of your own cistern, running water out of your own well.

Prends garde que chez toi les eaux ne débordent de ta fontaine, et que tes eaux ne s'écoulent dans les places publiques.

Derrámense por de fuera tus fuentes, en las plazas los ríos de aguas.

Let thy fountains be dispersed abroad, and rivers of waters in the streets.

Should your springs overflow in the streets, streams of water in the public squares?

Possède-les seul, et que nul étranger n'y ait part.

Sean para ti solo, y no para los extraños contigo.

Let them be only thine own, and not strangers’ with thee.

Let them be for yourself alone, not for strangers with you.

Que l'eau de ta fontaine soit vraiment à toi, et réjouis-toi en la femme de ta jeunesse.

Sea bendito tu manantial; y alégrate con la mujer de tu mocedad.

Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth.

Let your spring be blessed. Rejoice in the wife of your youth.

Qu'elles soit pour toi comme la biche bien-aimée, comme le faon de tes grâces ; qu'elle soit considérée comme ton bien propre, qu'elle t'assiste en toute circonstance ; car, ravi de son amour, tu vivras longtemps.

Como cierva amada y graciosa corza, sus pechos te satisfagan en todo tiempo; y en su amor recréate siempre.

Let her be as the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished always with her love.

A loving doe and a graceful deer— let her breasts satisfy you at all times. Be captivated always with her love.

Garde-toi de l'intimité avec une étrangère ; ne te laisse pas enlacer dans les bras d'une femme qui n'est point la tienne.

¿Y por qué, hijo mío, andarás ciego con la ajena, y abrazarás el seno de la extraña?

And why wilt thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger?

For why should you, my son, be captivated with an adulteress? Why embrace the bosom of another?

Car les voies de l'homme sont devant les yeux du Seigneur, et Il observe tous ses entiers.

Pues que los caminos del hombre están ante los ojos de Jehová, y él considera todas sus veredas.

For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings.

For the ways of man are before the LORD’s eyes. He examines all his paths.

Les iniquités pourchassent l'homme, et chacun est étreint par les chaînes de son péché.

Prenderán al impío sus propias iniquidades, y detenido será con las cuerdas de su pecado.

His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins.

The evil deeds of the wicked ensnare him. The cords of his sin hold him firmly.

Un tel homme meurt comme ceux qui n'ont point de discipline, et il a été renversé dans la plénitude de ses jours ; et sa folie l'a perdu.

El morirá por falta de corrección; y errará por la grandeza de su locura.

He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.

He will die for lack of instruction. In the greatness of his folly, he will go astray.
