HIJO mío, está atento á mi sabiduría, y á mi inteligencia inclina tu oído;
My son, attend unto my wisdom, and bow thine ear to my understanding:
My son, pay attention to my wisdom. Turn your ear to my understanding,
para que aprendas sobre a discrição, e teus lábios protejam o conhecimento.
Para que guardes consejo, y tus labios conserven la ciencia.
That thou mayest regard discretion, and that thy lips may keep knowledge.
that you may maintain discretion, that your lips may preserve knowledge.
Pois os lábios da mulher adúltera destilam mel, e a sua boca é mais suave que o azeite,
Porque los labios de la extraña destilan miel, y su paladar es más blando que el aceite:
For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil:
For the lips of an adulteress drip honey. Her mouth is smoother than oil,
mas, no final, é amarga como o absinto, e afiada como a espada.
Mas su fin es amargo como el ajenjo, agudo como cuchillo de dos filos.
But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a twoedged sword.
but in the end she is as bitter as wormwood, and as sharp as a two-edged sword.
Seus pés descem à morte, seus passos levam para o caminho do Sheol.
Sus pies descienden á la muerte; sus pasos sustentan el sepulcro:
Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell.
Her feet go down to death. Her steps lead straight to Sheol.
Ela não se preocupa com o rumo da vida; seus passos vagam, ela não sabe para onde vai.
Sus caminos son instables; no los conocerás, si no considerares el camino de vida.
Lest thou shouldest ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable, that thou canst not know them.
She gives no thought to the way of life. Her ways are crooked, and she doesn’t know it.
Agora, meus filhos, escutai a mim; não desvieis das palavras da minha boca.
Ahora pues, hijos, oidme, y no os apartéis de las razones de mi boca.
Hear me now therefore, O ye children, and depart not from the words of my mouth.
Now therefore, my sons, listen to me. Don’t depart from the words of my mouth.
Mantém o teu caminho longe dela, e não te aproximes da porta da sua casa.
Aleja de ella tu camino, y no te acerques á la puerta de su casa;
Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house:
Remove your way far from her. Don’t come near the door of her house,
Faz desta maneira para não acontecer que dês tua honra a outros, ou teus anos de vida a uma pessoa cruel;
Porque no des á los extraños tu honor, y tus años á cruel;
Lest thou give thine honour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel:
lest you give your honor to others, and your years to the cruel one;
estranhos se fartem da tua riqueza; aquilo pelo qual trabalhaste vá para a casa de estranhos;
Porque no se harten los extraños de tu fuerza, y tus trabajos estén en casa del extraño;
Lest strangers be filled with thy wealth; and thy labours be in the house of a stranger;
lest strangers feast on your wealth, and your labors enrich another man’s house.
e, no fim da tua vida, gemas quando tua carne e corpo se esvaírem;
Y gimas en tus postrimerías, cuando se consumiere tu carne y tu cuerpo,
And thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed,
You will groan at your latter end, when your flesh and your body are consumed,
e digas: "Como odiei a disciplina e meu coração rejeitou a correção!
Y digas: ¡Cómo aborrecí el consejo, y mi corazón menospreció la reprensión;
And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof;
and say, “How I have hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof.
Não obedeci aos meus professores, nem inclinei os meus ouvidos aos que me instruíram.
Y no oí la voz de los que me adoctrinaban, y á los que me enseñaban no incliné mi oído!
And have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me!
I haven’t obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor turned my ear to those who instructed me!
Quase fui completamente arruinado no meio da assembleia, entre a congregação".
Casi en todo mal he estado, en medio de la sociedad y de la congregación.

Bebe água da tua própria cisterna, e água corrente do teu próprio poço.

Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well.

Por acaso, deveriam as tuas fontes se derramarem por todo lado, e teus ribeiros correrem em praça pública?
Derrámense por de fuera tus fuentes, en las plazas los ríos de aguas.
Let thy fountains be dispersed abroad, and rivers of waters in the streets.
Should your springs overflow in the streets, streams of water in the public squares?
Sejam somente para ti, e não para estranhos contigo.
Sean para ti solo, y no para los extraños contigo.
Let them be only thine own, and not strangers’ with thee.
Let them be for yourself alone, not for strangers with you.
Que a tua fonte seja abençoada, e alegra-te com a esposa da tua mocidade;
Sea bendito tu manantial; y alégrate con la mujer de tu mocedad.
Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth.
Let your spring be blessed. Rejoice in the wife of your youth.
porque ela é uma corça amorosa, uma gazela graciosa. Que os seios dela sempre te encham de prazer e tu estejas continuamente embriagado pelo seu amor.
Como cierva amada y graciosa corza, sus pechos te satisfagan en todo tiempo; y en su amor recréate siempre.
Let her be as the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished always with her love.
A loving doe and a graceful deer— let her breasts satisfy you at all times. Be captivated always with her love.
Pois, por que tu, meu filho, serias cativado por uma adúltera? Por que abraçarias os seios de uma mulher imoral?
¿Y por qué, hijo mío, andarás ciego con la ajena, y abrazarás el seno de la extraña?
And why wilt thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger?
For why should you, my son, be captivated with an adulteress? Why embrace the bosom of another?
Yahweh vê tudo o que uma pessoa faz e observa todos os caminhos em que anda.
Pues que los caminos del hombre están ante los ojos de Jehová, y él considera todas sus veredas.
For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings.
For the ways of man are before the LORD’s eyes. He examines all his paths.
O corrupto será capturado por suas próprias iniquidades; as cordas do seu pecado o prenderão firmemente.
Prenderán al impío sus propias iniquidades, y detenido será con las cuerdas de su pecado.
His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins.
The evil deeds of the wicked ensnare him. The cords of his sin hold him firmly.
Ele morrerá por causa da sua falta de disciplina, e, pela sua insensatez, se desviará.
El morirá por falta de corrección; y errará por la grandeza de su locura.
He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.
He will die for lack of instruction. In the greatness of his folly, he will go astray.
