Mon fils, fais maintenant ceci, et te dégage, puisque tu es tombé entre les mains de ton intime ami, va, prosterne-toi, et encourage tes amis.
Haz esto ahora, hijo mío, y líbrate, ya que has caído en la mano de tu prójimo: ve, humíllate, y asegúrate de tu amigo.
Do this now, my son, and deliver thyself, when thou art come into the hand of thy friend; go, humble thyself, and make sure thy friend.
Do this now, my son, and deliver yourself, since you have come into the hand of your neighbor. Go, humble yourself. Press your plea with your neighbor.
Ne donne point de sommeil à tes yeux, et ne laisse point sommeiller tes paupières.
No des sueño á tus ojos, ni á tus párpados adormecimiento.
Give not sleep to thine eyes, nor slumber to thine eyelids.

Dégage-toi comme le daim de la main du chasseur, et comme l’oiseau de la main de l’oiseleur.

How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?

Un peu de sommeil, dis-tu, un peu de sommeil, un peu de ploiement de bras, afin de demeurer couché ;
Un poco de sueño, un poco de dormitar, y cruzar por un poco las manos para reposo:
Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:

Et ta pauvreté viendra comme un passant ; et ta disette, comme un soldat.
Así vendrá tu necesidad como caminante, y tu pobreza como hombre de escudo.
So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.

L’homme qui imite le démon, est un homme violent et ses discours sont faux.
El hombre malo, el hombre depravado, anda en perversidad de boca;
A naughty person, a wicked man, walketh with a froward mouth.
A worthless person, a man of iniquity, is he who walks with a perverse mouth,
Il fait signe de ses yeux, il parle de ses pieds, il enseigne de ses doigts.
Guiña de sus ojos, habla con sus pies, indica con sus dedos;
He winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his feet, he teacheth with his fingers;
who winks with his eyes, who signals with his feet, who motions with his fingers,
Il y a des renversements dans son coeur, il machine du mal en tout temps, il fait naître des querelles.
Perversidades hay en su corazón, anda pensando mal en todo tiempo; enciende rencillas.
Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord.
in whose heart is perverseness, who devises evil continually, who always sows discord.
C’est pourquoi sa calamité viendra subitement, il sera subitement brisé, il n’y aura point de guérison.
Por tanto su calamidad vendrá de repente; súbitamente será quebrantado, y no habrá remedio.
Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy.
Therefore his calamity will come suddenly. He will be broken suddenly, and that without remedy.
Dieu hait ces six choses, et même sept lui sont en abomination ;
Seis cosas aborrece Jehová, y aun siete abomina su alma:

Savoir, les yeux hautains, la fausse langue, les mains qui répandent le sang innocent ;
Los ojos altivos, la lengua mentirosa, las manos derramadoras de sangre inocente,
A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
arrogant eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood,
Le coeur qui machine de mauvais desseins ; les pieds qui se hâtent pour courir au mal ;
El corazón que maquina pensamientos inicuos, los pies presurosos para correr al mal,
An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,

Le faux témoin qui profère des mensonges ; et celui qui sème des querelles entre les frères.
El testigo falso que habla mentiras, y el que enciende rencillas entre los hermanos.
A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

Mon fils, garde le commandement de ton père, et n’abandonne point l’enseignement de ta mère ;
Guarda, hijo mío, el mandamiento de tu padre, y no dejes la enseñanza de tu madre:
My son, keep thy father’s commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
My son, keep your father’s commandment, and don’t forsake your mother’s teaching.
Tiens-les continuellement liés à ton coeur, et les attache à ton cou.
Atalos siempre en tu corazón, enlázalos á tu cuello.
Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck.
Bind them continually on your heart. Tie them around your neck.
Quand tu marcheras, il te conduira ; et quand tu te coucheras, il te gardera ; et quand tu te réveilleras, il s’entretiendra avec toi.
Te guiarán cuando anduvieres; cuando durmieres te guardarán; hablarán contigo cuando despertares.
When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.
When you walk, it will lead you. When you sleep, it will watch over you. When you awake, it will talk with you.
Car le commandement est une lampe ; et l’enseignement une lumière ; et les répréhensions propres à instruire sont le chemin de la vie.
Porque el mandamiento es antorcha, y la enseñanza luz; y camino de vida las reprensiones de la enseñanza:
For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

Pour te garder de la mauvaise femme, et des flatteries de la langue étrangère,
Para que te guarden de la mala mujer, de la blandura de la lengua de la extraña.
To keep thee from the evil woman, from the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman.
to keep you from the immoral woman, from the flattery of the wayward wife’s tongue.
Ne convoite point en ton coeur sa beauté, et ne te laisse point prendre à ses yeux.
No codicies su hermosura en tu corazón, ni ella te prenda con sus ojos:
Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids.
Don’t lust after her beauty in your heart, neither let her captivate you with her eyelids.
Car pour l’amour de la femme débauchée on en vient jusqu’à un morceau de pain, et la femme convoiteuse d’homme chasse après l’âme précieuse de l’homme.
Porque á causa de la mujer ramera es reducido el hombre á un bocado de pan; y la mujer caza la preciosa alma del varón.
For by means of a whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread: and the adulteress will hunt for the precious life.
For a prostitute reduces you to a piece of bread. The adulteress hunts for your precious life.
Quelqu’un peut-il prendre du feu dans son sein, sans que ses habits brûlent ?
¿Tomará el hombre fuego en su seno, sin que sus vestidos se quemen?
Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?
Can a man scoop fire into his lap, and his clothes not be burned?
Quelqu’un marchera-t-il sur la braise, sans que ses pieds en soient brûlés ?
¿Andará el hombre sobre las brasas, sin que sus pies se abrasen?
Can one go upon hot coals, and his feet not be burned?
Or can one walk on hot coals, and his feet not be scorched?
Ainsi en prend-il à celui qui entre vers la femme de son prochain ; quiconque la touchera, ne sera point innocent.
Así el que entrare á la mujer de su prójimo; no será sin culpa cualquiera que la tocare.
So he that goeth in to his neighbour’s wife; whosoever toucheth her shall not be innocent.
So is he who goes in to his neighbor’s wife. Whoever touches her will not be unpunished.
On ne méprise point un larron, s’il dérobe pour remplir son âme, quand il a faim ;
No tienen en poco al ladrón, cuando hurtare para saciar su alma teniendo hambre:
Men do not despise a thief, if he steal to satisfy his soul when he is hungry;
Men don’t despise a thief if he steals to satisfy himself when he is hungry,
Et s’il est trouvé, il le récompensera sept fois au double, il donnera tout ce qu’il a dans sa maison.
Empero tomado, paga las setenas, da toda la sustancia de su casa.
But if he be found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house.
but if he is found, he shall restore seven times. He shall give all the wealth of his house.
Mais celui qui commet adultère avec une femme, est dépourvu de sens ; et celui qui le fera, sera le destructeur de son âme.
Mas el que comete adulterio con la mujer, es falto de entendimiento: corrompe su alma el que tal hace.
But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul.
He who commits adultery with a woman is void of understanding. He who does it destroys his own soul.
Il trouvera des plaies et de l’ignominie, et son opprobre ne sera point effacé.
Plaga y vergüenza hallará; y su afrenta nunca será raída.
A wound and dishonour shall he get; and his reproach shall not be wiped away.
He will get wounds and dishonor. His reproach will not be wiped away.
Car la jalousie est une fureur de mari, qui n’épargnera point l’adultère au jour de la vengeance.
Porque los celos son el furor del hombre, y no perdonará en el día de la venganza.
For jealousy is the rage of a man: therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance.
For jealousy arouses the fury of the husband. He won’t spare in the day of vengeance.
Il n’aura égard à aucune rançon, et il n’acceptera rien, quand tu multiplierais les présents.
No tendrá respeto á ninguna redención; ni querrá perdonar, aunque multipliques los dones.
He will not regard any ransom; neither will he rest content, though thou givest many gifts.
He won’t regard any ransom, neither will he rest content, though you give many gifts.
