tue denn dieses, mein Sohn, und reiße dich los, da du in deines Nächsten Hand gekommen bist; geh hin, wirf dich nieder, und bestürme deinen Nächsten;
Haz esto ahora, hijo mío, y líbrate, ya que has caído en la mano de tu prójimo: ve, humíllate, y asegúrate de tu amigo.

und deine Armut wird kommen wie ein rüstig Zuschreitender, und deine Not wie ein gewappneter Mann.
Así vendrá tu necesidad como caminante, y tu pobreza como hombre de escudo.
So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.

Ein Belialsmensch, ein heilloser Mann ist, wer umhergeht mit Verkehrtheit des Mundes,

mit seinen Augen zwinkt, mit seinen Füßen scharrt, mit seinen Fingern deutet.
Guiña de sus ojos, habla con sus pies, indica con sus dedos;
He winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his feet, he teacheth with his fingers;

Verkehrtheiten sind in seinem Herzen; er schmiedet Böses zu aller Zeit, streut Zwietracht aus.
Perversidades hay en su corazón, anda pensando mal en todo tiempo; enciende rencillas.
Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord.

Darum wird plötzlich sein Verderben kommen; im Augenblick wird er zerschmettert werden ohne Heilung. -

Mein Sohn, bewahre das Gebot deines Vaters, und verlaß nicht die Belehrung deiner Mutter;
Guarda, hijo mío, el mandamiento de tu padre, y no dejes la enseñanza de tu madre:
My son, keep thy father’s commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother:

binde sie stets auf dein Herz, knüpfe sie um deinen Hals.
Atalos siempre en tu corazón, enlázalos á tu cuello.
Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck.

Wenn du einhergehst, wird sie dich leiten; wenn du dich niederlegst, wird sie über dich wachen; und erwachst du, so wird sie mit dir reden.
Te guiarán cuando anduvieres; cuando durmieres te guardarán; hablarán contigo cuando despertares.
When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.

Denn das Gebot ist eine Leuchte, und die Belehrung ein Licht; und die Zurechtweisung der Zucht sind der Weg des Lebens:

um dich zu bewahren vor dem bösen Weibe, vor der Glätte der Zunge einer Fremden.
Para que te guarden de la mala mujer, de la blandura de la lengua de la extraña.
To keep thee from the evil woman, from the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman.
to keep you from the immoral woman, from the flattery of the wayward wife’s tongue.
Begehre nicht in deinem Herzen nach ihrer Schönheit, und sie fange dich nicht mit ihren Wimpern!
No codicies su hermosura en tu corazón, ni ella te prenda con sus ojos:
Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids.
Don’t lust after her beauty in your heart, neither let her captivate you with her eyelids.
Denn um eines hurerischen Weibes willen kommt man bis auf einen Laib Brot, und eines Mannes Weib stellt einer kostbaren Seele nach. -
Porque á causa de la mujer ramera es reducido el hombre á un bocado de pan; y la mujer caza la preciosa alma del varón.
For by means of a whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread: and the adulteress will hunt for the precious life.
For a prostitute reduces you to a piece of bread. The adulteress hunts for your precious life.
Sollte jemand Feuer in seinen Busen nehmen, ohne daß seine Kleider verbrennten?
¿Tomará el hombre fuego en su seno, sin que sus vestidos se quemen?
Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?
Can a man scoop fire into his lap, and his clothes not be burned?
Oder sollte jemand über glühende Kohlen gehen, ohne daß seine Füße versengt würden?
¿Andará el hombre sobre las brasas, sin que sus pies se abrasen?
Can one go upon hot coals, and his feet not be burned?
Or can one walk on hot coals, and his feet not be scorched?
So der, welcher zu dem Weibe seines Nächsten eingeht: keiner, der sie berührt, wird für schuldlos gehalten werden. -
Así el que entrare á la mujer de su prójimo; no será sin culpa cualquiera que la tocare.
So he that goeth in to his neighbour’s wife; whosoever toucheth her shall not be innocent.
So is he who goes in to his neighbor’s wife. Whoever touches her will not be unpunished.
Man verachtet den Dieb nicht, wenn er stiehlt, um seine Gier zu stillen, weil ihn hungert;
No tienen en poco al ladrón, cuando hurtare para saciar su alma teniendo hambre:
Men do not despise a thief, if he steal to satisfy his soul when he is hungry;
Men don’t despise a thief if he steals to satisfy himself when he is hungry,
und wenn er gefunden wird, kann er siebenfach erstatten, kann alles Gut seines Hauses hingeben.
Empero tomado, paga las setenas, da toda la sustancia de su casa.
But if he be found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house.

Wer mit einem Weibe Ehebruch begeht, ist unsinnig; wer seine Seele verderben will, der tut solches.
Mas el que comete adulterio con la mujer, es falto de entendimiento: corrompe su alma el que tal hace.
But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul.
He who commits adultery with a woman is void of understanding. He who does it destroys his own soul.
Plage und Schande wird er finden, und seine Schmach wird nicht ausgelöscht werden.
Plaga y vergüenza hallará; y su afrenta nunca será raída.
A wound and dishonour shall he get; and his reproach shall not be wiped away.
He will get wounds and dishonor. His reproach will not be wiped away.
Denn Eifersucht ist eines Mannes Grimm, und am Tage der Rache schont er nicht.
Porque los celos son el furor del hombre, y no perdonará en el día de la venganza.
For jealousy is the rage of a man: therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance.

Er nimmt keine Rücksicht auf irgendwelche Sühne und willigt nicht ein, magst du auch das Geschenk vergrößern.
